The Impact of Prevailing Financial Management Practices of the Department of Health (DOH), Region X on the performance of the Health Care System to the Barangays of Cagayan de Oro City

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM This study attempts a cross-sectional analysis of the prevailing financial management practices of the DOH-X in its provision of medical support and services to Barangays in Cagayan de Oro City. Furthermore, establishment of the relationship between the determined practices on the budget allocation, purchasing and distribution will be accomplished. Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following questions: 1. What are the existing financial management practices of DOH-X in its provision of medicinal support and services in terms of: 1.1.1 budget allocation 1.1.2 purchasing 1.1.3 distribution 2. What are the services offered in terms of: 2.1 first aid 2.2 maternal and child health care 2.3 diagnosis of social diseases 2.4 basic health services 2.5 family planning 3. What is the financial performance of 3.1 Agency in terms of: 3.1.1 Liquidity 3.1.2 Solvency 3.2 Barangay in terms of: 3.2.1 Profitability 3.2.2 Viability

4. What are the implications of the performance of the healthcare service of the barangay to the existing financial management practice of DOH? 5. What are the applicable recommendations for the viability of the barangay health centers?
