Dear Sirs, We would like to request a meeting with a Commissioner of Suhakam responsible for the Human Rights of minorities in Malaysia concerning a matter of national interest relating to unfair treatment of minorities in Malaysia vide the school examination system and award of educational opportunities by the Malaysian Government. We consider this to be a major infringement of Human Rights in the country. We have a group of aggrieved parents in Ipoh, who would like to lodge a complaint to the Commission. We, at Hindraf are facilitating their efforts. We had requested an appointment with your Commissioner in Ipoh, vide our letter dated 20th April,2012 but we have had no response till to date from your side on this matter, unfortunately. However we would like to proceed without any further delay on this matter. We request an appointment at your Suhakam office on the 17th of July at 11.00 am to deliver our petition. Please confirm this appointment request so that we can make the necessary arrangements We make this request as the issue that we want to raise clearly falls under the Charter of Suhakam to investigate and verify any infringement of human rights, to work with civil society

organizations and human rights defenders for the promotion and protection of human rights and for conducting Public Inquiries on major infringements of human rights. We look forward to the meeting with the Commissioner. Thank you. Yours faithfully,
