Black Death was one of the most deadly diseases in the history of mankind. It is thought to have started in China and gradually, it moved to Crimeria and then to Europe. It is said to have been carried around by the Tropical rat flea (aka Oriental rat flea) while they lived on black rats. The Black Death then spread throughout the Mediterranean and Europe , killing roughly 30-60% of Europes population. It took Europe 150 years to recover. The plague returned for short intervals numerous times until the 1800s.
