Travis Rice worked with the experiMENTAL division to incorporate Horsepower construction into his favorite King of the Hill & X-Games winning C2-Power Banana, Magne-Traction all mountain and freestyle geometries. Travis Horsepower construction features all basalt construction (no traditional fiberglass) BEANS top material, and Columbian Gold Eco Timber Core. Volcanic Organic Power Banana performance. About the Art Travis Rice knows what he wants and has a unique grasp on the world he lives in. For this years graphics Travis wanted multiple images that portrayed opposite spectrums of human cultures and behaviors, such as the beauty and costume of the women from native tribes of the Americas vs the plastic and physically altered female beast of the Southern Cali- fornian coast. I created large scale digital collages set- ting the stage for Mikes (Parillo) master hand. The digital collages were output at full size on canvas and then stretched onto bars. Mike then added multiple layers acrylics and oils to enhance the collage and to give the piece a new life, while incorporating extra imagery and colors in to the original collage.~Carl Smith

Initially, it was just simple references and visual clues to the point he was trying to make, it was a pretty funny brainstorm to start, many of the initial ideas made it in. In the end we settled on a collage from Carl that served as a base to print massive digitally composed collages on canvas. My part was 60-80 hours of painting on top of each of Carls collages that he already put 40+ hours into each. To me, the result is the most visually stimulating line of TRices to date. Mike Parillo
