THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ,

his only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. GLORIA PATRI Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen. DOXOLOGY Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise him, all creatures here below; Praise him above, ye heavenly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

9th Sunday
The Spirit of God

in Pentecost
was hovering !

In his old age, God tested Abraham again! God said, "Abraham!" "Yes?" answered Abraham. "I'm listening." God said, "Take your dear son Isaac whom you love and go to the land of Mor-i-ah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I'll point out to you." I got up early in the morning and saddled my donkey. I took my son Isaac, and some split wood for the burnt offering. Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and gave it to Isaac his son to carry, along with the flint and the knife. The two of them went off together. Isaac said to Abraham his father, "Father?" "Yes, my son." "We have flint and wood, but where's the sheep for the burnt offering ?" Abraham said, "Son, we trust God will provide, and see to it that there's a sacrifice for the burnt offering", and they kept on walking together. *HYMN # 31(G) I Sing the Almighty Power *CALL TO and PRAYER of CONFESSION Abraham and Isaac arrived at the place to which God had directed him. Abraham built an altar. He laid out the wood. Then he tied up Isaac, and laid

him on the wood. Abraham reached out and took the knife to obey God and kill his son, the one promised from God. For more information go to info@cornerstonewrc.org. There are 12 assisted listening devices available for people to better hear the worship service. They are located in a basket in the narthex. CD copies of our worship service are also available every Sunday in the narthex. Local food banks such as Disciples Pantry in Woodstown and Peters Pantry in Elmer continue to be in need of items.
