Prayer is such a purely spiritual art that Satan finds it easy to confuse us until what we are doing is no longer prayer at all, but just words that lie on the ground. Jesus shows us the way out of saying prayers into really praying. How can you get your heart to contact God? First, start with where he is, not where you are at. Prayer is soulcontact.
