After 20 years in the fashion industry as a designer
I saw the opportunity to carry fashion trends into
homewares. The concept was born when I was
shopping with friends and their children for an
upcoming wedding present.
We were obnoxiously ignored and asked not to touch
a light bulb went of in my head and decided why not
bring shopping for homewares to the home? Oasis
was born! I was right, already the business quadrupled
in the last 7 years and is just getting bigger and better
even in this tough economy. In actual fact our Winter
catalogue this year was our most successful catalogue
ever and we could hardly keep up with demand!
I just love watching our fabulous consultants not only
grow their own businesses but also grow as people.
I have a great working relationship with all the girls
and we just become one big family with the same

feel very fortunate to have become a part of the world of party plan a few years ago. My children
were 4 and 18 months and I was starting to wonder how I could ever go back to my previous
world in the fashion industry juggling the long hours and high pressured environment.
The Oasis opportunity was shared with me over two years ago by Angela who is now a Director, and
also a past work colleague. She rang me and said you have to join Oasis . She had come on board
only 3 months prior and loved everything the company had to oer. Curiosity got the better of me
and onto the web site I went. I picked up the phone, and spoke for an hour and I was hooked. The
enthusiasmand vision oozed down the phone and I just knew I had to join the amazing Oasis team.
Within a few weeks I had a beautiful kit delivered and everything I needed to start my own Oasis
business. I was also given the training and knowledge needed to go out and create an Oasis buzz.
My rst season bought me 3rd place in sales, what an incredible surprise. Two seasons on and my
business had been steadily growing until nally I took out Oasis Sales Queen for Summer 2011,
I won an overseas trip to Hong Kong for myself and the hubby. This is something that I had never
achieved before with previous companies. Oasis has shown me that not only can you earn a fantastic
income from retailing, but with the right goals and training you can introduce other women to this

ike most women I know I had struggled for many years with the demands of a fulltime job, kids
playing lots of after school sport and ongoing family commitments. I had previously operated my
own retail store but even this option had left me very time poor and my family seemed to always

l realized my life was not what l

fter many years of building a successful career in the corporate world, I made the biggest change life
can bring starting a family. I was just 4 months into my maternity leave when I felt totally lost. I felt I

was made redundant when the club went
bankrupt. I have 3 children aged 5, 7 and

Our winning bamboo collection supports this eco friendly
philosophy- Bamboo is a highly renewable material and one
of earths fastest growing plants its biological characteristic
makes it the perfect tool for preventing soils erosion - and
reducing Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere - Bamboo
generotes u to 35% more oxygen tbon trees - Bomboo ls
not a wood but a grass bamboo need no replanting and it
grows wltbout fertlllzers or estlclues.
It also plays an important role in the reduction of timber
consumption , environmental and forests protection.
Oasis has paired it designs and colours with the traditional
century old craftsmanship unique to Vietnam - again
providing employment for the local Vietnamese. Each piece
of the Oasis bamboo collection is hand coiled, shaped and
nished with natural lacquer.

Water Hyacinth is another natural product Oasis uses-our
BBQ, new kitchen and oce collections are made from Water
Hyacinth. It is an attractive free oating plant growing in
waterways that if left in the wild can cause problems to other
plant and sh life, irrigation and power generation. The
farming of these reeds alleviates these problems as well as
providing employment for the local farmers - both solutions
again keeping in with the Oasis social and environmental
philosophy.

All our glassware is beautifully hand crafted and blown in
Vietnam using recycled glass-as a result, again, no 2 pieces
are the same - we want our customers to embrace and
appreciate the individuality of each glass and know we have
made the attempt to be Eco-conscious.

using recycled glass giving a second life to otherwise discarded
