White should also be understood as a colour: unprinted areas lend an air of clarity and serenity to brochures and other publications. lighter tones of Mets Groups colours can be used to group visual elements in magazines and annual reports, for example. Additional colours are used less and in smaller areas than the main colours. Additional colours can be used as effects and in tables and diagrams, for example.

use large images inside brochures to ensure attention is paid to details. Avoid using several small images on a spread, as restless layouts divert attention from the images. Also allow for unprinted space, as it improves readability and layout quality. If needed, do not hesitate to crop images creatively, as pictured here. Cropping makes images more lively and brochures more interesting to browse.
M-real has pioneered lightweighting achieving excellent strength and printability at low basis weights. Based on fresh forest fibres, a strong tradition of R&D, breakthroughs in BCTMP and state-of-the-art mill technology, the development of ever-lighter boards continues. M-reals lightweight boards yield significantly more cartons per tonne and reduce customers total costs without compromising quality. Despite their lightness, the boards have the stiffness and the quality consistency to run smoothly and reliably in all production processes. This saves time, money and trouble.
As a packaging material, cartonboard based on fresh forest fibres has a notably small carbon footprint. M-reals lightweight boards further lessen environmental impacts, as they consume less energy and raw material, decrease transport weights and produce less waste. They decrease waste also by protecting the product and ensuring that it stays intact through the logistic chain.
