and predicting it success, (120 words). Last Saturday, I took some time off and I saw The Mummy Trilogy, in my personal opinion, those are the most amazing movies about mommies that I saw until now. The two first movies: The mummy (1999), The mummy returns (2001), was written and directed by Stephen Summers who in the last movie, The mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) works as a producer. The cast that appears in the three movies are professional and excellent actors and actresses like Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, Arnold Vosloo, Patricia Velsquez, Dwayne Johnson, Jet Li, Maria Bello, and Luke Ford. In the three movies Brendan Fraser is Rick OConnell an attractive, handsome and adventurer, who served in the French Foreign Legion and by accident arrived to Hamunaptra, the city of the dead. While Rachel Weisz as an Evelyn Carnahan/OConnell intelligent a librarian but a little clumsy who aspires to be an Egyptologist (this actress was replaced by Maria Bello in the third movie, because she was on the set of another movie), that accidentally awakening Imhotep. Other characters include, John Hannah as Jonathan Carnahan Evelyn's older brother, who wants to get rich at the easy way. Another good actor Arnold Vosloo as High Priest Imhotep, who betrays Pharaoh Seti by love Anck-su-namun (the mistress of Pharaoh), he is curse for their sacrilege and buried alive with flesh-eating scarabs. The talented Venezuelan (my compatriot, proud of my country Venezuela) Patricia Velsquez as Ankh-sun-Amun the mistress of Pharaoh Seti I who kills him and then kills herself, waiting for Imhotep resurrect her. In the first movie Rick, Evelyn, Jonathan and a band of American treasure hunters, dig at the ancient city of Hamunaptra and accidentally awakens a Mummy Imhotep, they have to fight in order to return the mummy to his place whit the dead. In the second movie, Alex (Rick and Evelyns son) explore a ruined mortuary structure in the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes, find the Bracelet of Anubis meanwhile the mummified body of Imhotep is resurrected by an Egyptian cult who captured Alex to find the directions to Ahm Shere and begins his campaign of rage and terror of Imhotep and the heroes have to rescue his son and save the world once again. In the third movie the archaeologist Alex O'Connell, the son of Rick and Evelyn O'Connell, locates Emperor Han's tomb, a brutal and tyrannical warlord, who is revived by accident and start his plans to conquer the entire world our heroes have to, fights the Terracotta Army and with the powerful shapeshift Emperor surrounded by the Great Wall. The Mummy Trilogy, have a little of everything, action, drama, romance, comedy, mystery and science fiction, a great actors performance, the perfect choice for a good movie weekend.
