georgia bull dogs schedule The Bulldogs are heavy favorites to win a second straight title and anything less would be a huge disappointment. Offense Louisiana Tech finished fourth in the WAC in scoring last season with 30.1 points/game. They finished sixth in the conference in total offense with 394.6 yards/game. Their solid running game was the main reason why their offense was so good. They ranked third in the league with 146.2 yards/game. Team leading rusher Lennon Creer has moved on and his 838 rushing yards will be missed. However, sophomore Hunter Lee appears poised to take over and be the primary ball carrier. He had 650 rushing yards last season and he will be primarily responsible for keeping defenses honest so the passing game can flourish. Quarterback Colby Cameron stepped in midway through last season and threw for 1,667 yards with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions. He is being relied upon to grow from his good run last year and he will plenty of opportunities to do so. He has four senior starting offensive linemen returning and he should have plenty of time to throw. Quinton Patton will be Cameron's top target and he led the team with 79 grabs for 1,202 yards and 11 scores last year. Defense The defense really stepped up big time last year and really outplayed the offense despite the offense's already strong season. It led the WAC in scoring defense with 23.2 points allowed per game and finished third in total defense with 376.5 yards allowed per game. The defense should pick up right where they left off despite only four starters returning from last year. The Bulldogs were excellent against the run as they led the league with 127.4 rushing yards allowed per game last season. With defensive tackles Justin Ellis and Shakeil Lucas coming back, teams will think twice before deploying their running offense against the Bulldogs in 2012 as well. Joining Ellis and Lucas up front is defensive end IK Enemkpali, who tallied 7.5 tackles for loss in his sophomore campaign. Junior Rufus Porter and senior Soloman Randle figure to grab the spotlight as the two linebackers in the Bulldog's 4-2-5 alignment. Top returning tackler senior safety Jamel Johnson and Chad Boyd will anchor what should be a very good secondary. Johnson had 88 stops last season.

WAC Prediction: 1st Place A tough non-conference schedule forced Louisiana to a poor start as they started out the year with 1-4 in 2011. They faced Southern Miss, Houston and Mississippi State and they could be in for another tough start to 2012 with a brutal schedule to start the year once again. The Bulldogs open the season against Texas A&M, Houston, Illinois and Virginia in its first four weeks. Those four games figure to be their only stumbling block as they seem poised to win the rest of the way. The Bulldogs have a huge opportunity against anyone in conference play and their only tough opponent is Utah State, but they get the Aggies at home in 2012. Georgia is coming off an 11-2 season capped by a huge 41-10 win over Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl. The team returns eight starters on offense and seven starters on defense.
