Day 16: Elijah 1 Kings 12-18 Ornament: Stone Altar

Bible Story: 1 Kings 12-18 Read and Share Bible pgs. 218-225 Hide it in your Heart: And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God." (I Kings 18:39) Make note cards, print out, write on chalk board or say aloud Snack Idea: Elijah's Altar - (Dough formed into rock shapes, with Chow Mein noodle wood and fire on top) Elijah built an altar with 12 stones, 1 Kings 18:31 Activities: Elijah's 12 Stone Alter When Elijah built the alter in 1 Kings 18, he used 12 stones to represent the 12 tribes (sons) of Jacob. This could be a great learning oppurtunity to learn the names of those tribes, print this coloring sheet or print a full color size for classroom display.
