24 November 2012 Sir/Maam, My name is Joshua Brown. I am a Medically Retired Veteran Gunnery Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps. I am further a 100% Disabled Veteran; however, the disabilities that I suffered during my decade and a half of Honorable Active Duty Service have been corrected or stabilized to the point which they not only do not impede my ability to work effectively, but I would challenge anyone to find them without my direction! As you will see in my Resume, I have a lot of Managerial experience. I have managed personnel for over 13 years beginning with 2 Marines and ending with a High Risk Classified Mission to Kuwait with 135 Marines and a Half-Million Dollars of Marine Corps Property! I was directly responsible for their lodging, sustenance, transportation, and overall safety. I can proudly say that all of us came home without a scratch! That is simply the best example of my skills that I can provide. I am very skilled and adept at all facets of Marketing, Administrative Duties (I am an Expert at the entire Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Email, and can type quite fast), Physical Security, and Inventory Management. I have attached two documents for your review. I know that they are not directly relevant to the position, but I believe that they speak to my Character and abilities. One is a letter written by Doctor Larry Forness to an Employer for a Federal Law Enforcement Position which I declined and the other is a screenshot of my Recommendations on the LinkedIn Website. I am not the egotistical type who brags in their cover letter. If my Resume isnt enough, then I do not deserve the job! However, I think that I would be foolish to not include some validation from others to bolster my own words. In Closing, I sincerely appreciate your review of my Resume and supporting documentation! I am finishing my Doctorate in Management and MBA at Colorado Technical University while I get back into fighting shape. It may seem that I am overqualified or overpriced for the available position; this is simply not true. I neither expect nor demand any consideration beyond that of any other applicant! It isnt about the salary; it is about being a productive member of society and contributing where my skills are needed. I have no existing obligations for the next two years.
