Lund of the Council of the Twelve Apostles; Elder Andrew L. Larsen, called to serve with Elder Maycock in re-opening the Turkish Mission in 1897 following the political disturbances in Turkey; Nishan Krikor Sherinian, President of the Zara Branch called by Apostle Lund to go on a mission to Palestine with these brethren. The route of this second mission for the Church by Nishan K. Sherinian, which commenced in the Spring of 1898, is found on the map to the right. Apostle David 0. McKay changed the name of the Turkish Mission to the Armenian Mission at a conference held at Aleppo, Syria, on January 23, 1924.
