    Herond Nishan, the third child of Nishan and Rebecca Sherinian born in 1892 in Zara, Sivas, Turkey. This
    photo was taken about 1906.

    Nishan K. Sherinian with his wife, Rebecca, in 1925 at the Selig Zoo, Nishan K. Sherinian in front of his aarber Shop in 1934, two years before he moved to Los Angeles. This is where Herond Nishan learned the Barber trade from his father and where he helped him after school and on Saturdays. According to his sister, Arick, all the customers liked Herond and his work. This trade helped him earn a living in his later years in medical school. Los Angeles. This photograph was taken shortly after Nishan's honorable release from the California Mission, his third full-time mission for the Church.
