September 25, 2012 CLASS PRESIDENTS OF THE GRADUATING BATCH OF THE UST FACULTY OF ARTS AND LETTERS Dear

Class Presidents: We, the AB Student Council of 2012 2013, are organizing a creation of our own yearbook, which is different from The Thomasian 2013 the sole official yearbook of the University of Santo Tomas. It has been long a time since our faculty had our own yearbook/alumni directory. Should this pursue, the yearbook will be the first after a long period of time and shall be considered as de facto alumni directory. Aside from being a directory, this yearbook will give us a personalized touch on our graduation memento and it will promote affinity among our batch mates and our own faculty. This will also help us in promoting our identity as a liberal student body, and will help Artlet stand out among other faculties and colleges of the University. It should be clear that the pictorial with RED Images is different from the pictorial with Colorpoint Studios as our RED Images picture shall be the official and recognized partner of the University of Santo Tomas. Colorpoint Studios, on the other hand, is the partner of the AB Student Council and the Artlets Alumni Association in its Yearbook project. As soon-to-be graduates of University of Santo Tomas, our pictorial with RED Images is considered a must, and on the other hand, our pictorial with Colorpoint, solely an action of the student body which does not involve any member of the administration of the university and the college, is an OPTION. The project highly encourages participation, but does not require graduating students to enjoin themselves, as this project should be of voluntary nature. The Student Council considers the amount of money that senior graduating students and our parents are spending for many other purposes. On our end, we are still looking for sponsors who might help us in lowering the amount of money we are to pay. As our duty, we promise to publish a financial report right after the pictorial of the last registered participant of the yearbook project. Our partner, Colorpoint Studios, will be asking for one thousand five hundred pesos (Php 1,500.00) per student for the following products and services: Colored Personalized Yearbook, Pictorial Shots (Toga, Creative, and Formal), Makeup, Framed Standard Large-sized Toga Picture for display, six (6) wallet-sized copies of pictures of your choice, and digital copies of the shots. An initial payment of P500.00 will be required for the make-up and pictorial, and the P1000 remaining balance should be paid by the end of 2012. We are hoping for the pictorial to be finished by 2012 so we can expect for earlier release of the yearbook and the other products. Attached with this letter is the Yearbook Form which is to be filled-up by your classmates. Inform the council how many among your classmates are interested to participate so we can provide copies and for them to be able to take pictures in Colorpoint as soon as possible. Please take note of the irregulars, as they may have registered their names into a different block. Schedule of pictorials will be released when all initial payments are already communicated or settled with the ABSC and Colorpoint. We would like to ask your help, Class Presidents, in informing your respective blocks about this matter and let us be reminded that this project is under the student councils initiative and ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE ABSC (Julius Romel P. Fernandez, 09156657294, fernandezjrp@gmail.com). We are whole-heartedly hoping for your consideration and cooperation on this matter. Thank you very much and God bless! Respectfully yours,

JULIUS ROMEL P. FERNANDEZ President, Arts and Letters Student Council
