MEDIA ADVISORY
Leading Progressive Site to Feature Chat with Executive Producer of CODEBREAKER TONIGHT at 8pm (ET)
Wednesday, January 30th National Teleconference Call on Securing a Screening of CODEBREAKER in Your Hometown
LOS ANGELES, CA Fresh off last weeks 24th Annual GLAAD Media Award nomination for Outstanding Documentary and announcement of the films national release next month, at 8pm (ET) tonight the creator and executive producer of CODEBREAKER will be discussing the film on the front-page of FireDogLake.com as part of the sites FDL Movie Night Discussion. Patrick Sammon, creator of the soon-to-be nationally released drama documentary chronicling the extraordinary life of gay, World War II hero Alan Turing, will join FireDogLakes online community to discuss the film, Turings life and the persecution he faced because of his sexuality. You can read the preview blog post about tonights chat, including instructions on how you can take part in the discussion, by clicking here. Turing is one of the 20th centurys most important people and is known as the father of computer science and artificial intelligence. He also cracked the German Naval Enigma code during World War II, helping to turn the tide of war and save millions of lives. Instead of accolades, Turing faced terrible persecution from the British government because he was gay. Unfortunately, he committed suicide in 1954 at the age of only 41 years old. Also this week, at both 8pm (ET) and 8pm (PST) on Wednesday, January 30th, CODEBREAKERs distribution company, TODpix, will be providing the public an opportunity to hear directly from Sammon, via national teleconference, how they can secure a screening of the award-winning film in their hometown. The dial in number for both calls is (800) 617-7801, conference code 5012772. Last week, TODpixs announced that starting in February 2013, CODEBREAKER will be placed before audiences across the country using a unique, new model called theatrical on demand. This grassroots model puts the decision-making power in the hands of moviegoers, guaranteeing the films screening in any community where there is sufficient interest. CODEBREAKER has already played to enthusiastic audiences during the films nine-city, U.S. premiere late last year in New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Fort Lauderdale, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, DC. This new, crowd-surfing model is a fitting tribute to Alan Turing, whose computer science theories over half a century ago planted the seeds which, today, have grown to create the basis for this cutting-edge, digital technology

Starting in the next few weeks, TODpix will be announcing additional screening dates and locations for CODEBREAKER in cities across the country. In the meantime, in order for a city to be considered for a screening, moviegoers need to visit the films website at www.todpix.com and fill out a short request form. Once a location is approved, the moviegoers can share the link for tickets using social media and other outreach tools. After 50 tickets have been reserved, credit cards will be charged and the screening will be scheduled. CODEBREAKER is one of five nominees for the GLAAD Media Awards Outstanding Documentary. Ceremonies for the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards will be held in New York on March 16, 2013 at the New York Marriott Marquis; in Los Angeles on April 20 at the JW Marriott; and in San Francisco on May 11 at the Hilton San Francisco-Union Square.
