TECHNICAL NOTES AND DIRECTIONS

MATERIALS AND THEIR FEATURES
NATURAL BRASS (OT/58)
Natural brass extruded profiles are extremely resistant to chemical agents. Brass naturally oxidizes when exposed to atmospheric moisture, but when this occurs - it can be restored to its original state by using abrasives or specific polishing
products.
POLISHED BRASS (OT/58)
Polished brass profiles have the same features as natural brass trims, but they are submitted to a special polishing treatment
on surfaces in view.
POLISHED VARNISHED BRASS
Polished varnished brass profiles are protected by a transparent varnish in order to preserve their natural brilliance. The transparent varnish does not protect from abrasion.
CHROMIUM-PLATED BRASS
Chromium-plated brass profiles are resistant to ultraviolet rays, weathering, chemical agents, lime, mortar, tile glue and common cleaning products. They are not suitable for applications in floors with intense mechanical stresses.
NATURAL ALUMINIUM
Natural aluminium profiles are produced by extrusion and, in comparison with brass models, are less resistant to chemical
agents and mechanical stresses. Aluminium profiles may oxidize.
ANODISED AND POLISHED ALUMINIUM
Anodised aluminium profiles have the same features as natural aluminium trims. The only difference is that they are submitted to a subsequent anodising process. The anodising treatment protects profiles from oxidation. Wear and pedestrian traffic
could damage the surface and remove the original anodised finish.
Polished aluminium profiles are not suitable for floor applications.
COATED AND DECORATED ALUMINIUM
Coated aluminium profiles do not withstand mechanical stresses and are not suitable for floor applications. Coated profiles
are resistant to ultraviolet rays, weathering, chemical agents, lime, mortar, tile glue and common cleaning products.
ALCROM PLUS WOOD DECORATED PROFILES
The wood decoration is obtained by foiling the aluminium profiles with a special film perfectly reproducing grains and colours
of wood.
Alcrom Plus profiles are resistant to wear, pedestrian traffic, ultraviolet rays and common cleaning products for floors.
STAINLESS STEEL AISI 430 - X6CR17
Stainless steel AISI 430 profiles are produced by profiling.
STAINLESS STEEL AISI 304 X5CRNI18-10
Stainless steel profiles with polished or satin finish are produced by profiling and are extremely resistant to most chemical
agents, weathering, lime, mortar, tile glue and common cleaning products.
Stainless steel products are particularly suitable for outdoor use, swimming pools, food-processing industry, hospitals, etc.
PVC
PVC profiles are produced by extrusion, in accordance with strict specific technical norms (homogeneous colours, length tolerance, straightness, dimensioning).
For their production we used exclusively the best raw materials.
These PVC profiles are very resistant to common chemical products, detergents, etc.
PVC decorated profiles are coated with a special film of laminated plastic, which is extremely resistant to common cleaning
products. Specifications are available on request.

Self-adhesive profiles are made with non-toxic, non-flammable and solvent free hot-melt glues. Although these products are non-flammable, it is recommended not to expose them to naked flames. Product preservation is guaranteed when stored in "normal" climatic conditions. Glue deteriorates at temperatures over +90C and crystallizes at temperatures below 15C. During the application, the temperature of self-adhesive profiles and the ambient temperature where profiles have to be laid should not be below +10C.
Important: Self-adhesive profiles can not be laid on friable supports, as junction between two carpet floors or between PVC floors and
wall coverings.
DRILLED PROFILES
Screw-mounted profiles are drilled according to the model and the material at issue, so that to lodge 3 mm or 3,5 mm screws, either
flat-head or round-head ones.
For a correct pairing off screw/profile see the chart on page 84.
PROSYSTEM PROFIX PROFILES
PROSYSTEM and PROFIX are two different fixing systems, without screws, for profiles. Prosystem and Profix profiles have a longitudinal channel in which nylon dowels (Prosystem) or an aluminium base (Profix) are inserted.

DIRECTIONS
It is understood that the above-mentioned directions are indicative and not binding. The resistance to chemical products depends on
their degree of chemical aggressiveness and therefore it is necessary to make sure in advance of the effects that products used for profile laying, cleaning and maintenance can produce. In particular lime, mortar or ceramic tile glue cause stains on the visible surface of
profiles. Therefore it is necessary to clean these parts immediately after the laying of the profiles.
Please note that in the present catalogue due to the printing - the colour shades can be slightly different from the real ones.

PROJOINT NL is a PVC co-extruded profile to be used as expansion
joint for ceramic tile floors. PROJOINT enables floor compression
and stretch movements.
Drilled flanges assure anchorage
to the previously cut laying bed,
fixing together laying bed, PROJOINT and tiles.
The profile inner height has to be
equal or 0.51 mm lower than the
tile thickness, but never higher
than the ceramic tile.

The supplied fixing pieces in blisters are available in three different heights and have to be inserted in the aluminium base, so

Alcrom Plus is an innovative range of wood decorated profiles for the laying of traditional parquet,
floating parquet and laminated floors. The profile
decoration is realized by foiling the aluminium profiles with a special film, perfectly reproducing pattern, colours and grains of wood flooring. The
whole working schedule takes place in our factory
in Cadoneghe (Padova). Alcrom Plus profiles are
resistant to wear, pedestrian traffic, UV radiation
and to common cleaning products.

GENERAL TERMS OF SALE AND DELIVERY

1. PRICES
The prices shown in the present price list are in EURO and
are subject to discounts granted in accordance with ordered
quantities or agreements with the supplier.
Prices are exclusive of additional taxes or customs duties.
Profilpas expressly reserves the right to modify prices without
notice, according to fluctuations in the costs of raw materials.
2. MINIMUM ORDERS
The required minimum order is fixed in the amount of Euro
516,00.
5. PACKAGING
Prices include our standard packaging.
Sea shipment packaging or any other special packaging
requested by the customers will be debited at cost price.
6. TERMS OF PAYMENT
All the payments of the orders accepted by the supplier must
be effected within the due terms and in accordance with the
agreed mode of payment; the relevant sums must be transferred to the recommended bank. The delivered goods shall
remain the property of Profilpas until all payments have been
made in full.
3. ORDERS
Orders will be considered accomplished only after Profilpas
receipt of the written acceptance by the customer.
Only the discounts, the prices and the sales conditions written in the confirmation of order will be considered valid for the
supply.
4. DELIVERY TERMS
Deliveries are EX WORKS our warehouse in Cadoneghe
(Padova) - Italy.
According to the provisions of the International Commercial
Code, the goods delivered by us are shipped at the consignees risk, unless reimbursements can be claimed to the
carrier in accordance with agreements and clauses contained
in the stipulated insurance policies.
Delivery dates are estimated and not guaranteed and
Profilpas shall not be responsible for the consequences of
any delay.
The present price list voids and replaces all the previous ones.
7. CLAIMS
Claims must be notified in writing within 10 days from the
delivery date.
Claims for damaged, stolen or missing goods have to be lodged to the carrier upon receipt of the goods.
In case no written complaint is lodged to the carrier, Profilpas
will take no responsibility for it.
Profilpas will not accept any return or replacement of goods
delivered in conformity with the confirmed customers orders.
Return deliveries will be accepted only with Profilpas prior
written consent and are always at the purchasers expense.
In case any controversy arises, the place of jurisdiction will be
Padova - Italy.
