Party With A Purpose

Party With A Purpose, a non-prot society for all conscious-minded party animals, was created in Hong Kong, April 2011, to organize nightlife party fundraisers that help stimulate awareness for nonprot ocean conservation charities. Founder and part-time DJ/Producer, Kris Sawatzky, developed the concept from his love of the oceans and of house music. "The inspiration came after watching the documentaries The Cove, Sharkwater and The End of The Line... I thought how cool it would be to throw a fundraiser party where everything from the venue through to the website is provided by local businesses and artists who believe that protecting ocean ecology is not just a conservation issue, but a humanitarian one as well." Party With A Purpose presented Oceans 12, its second annual ocean awareness fundraiser event June this year, shedding light on the plastic vortex, unsustainable shing, and cetacean slaughter.
