Bangalore- Hosur- Krishnagiri (look for the sign boards at the flyover, you could also have a decent

breakfast at the Dhabba of the Indian Oil) - Dharmapuri (Hosur to Dharamapuri there is a shortcut by turning to rigth at the hosur junction and then taking a left will save like 50kms but I would suggest the route Hosur-Krishnagiri-Dharmapuri, wider roads and faster and lesser stern) - Mettur- Bhavani (from dharamapuri you could also go to Salem and touch Bhavani directly the road is better but longer by about 100kms) - Perundurai- Erode by pass (from here you are on NH47)-Avinashi - NilamburCoimbatore by-pass - Palaghat - Trichur - Aluwa - Cochin!! The roads are better. Plan to touch Hosur by 5-6am to avoid the horrible b'lore traffic at a decent speed average of 90-100 I'd touched Cochin by 5.30-6pm with a lot of breaks. Roads are decent! Dharampuri-Mettur-Bhavani is just a 2way but decent roads, the only time consuming patch is Palaghat-Trichur. Most Pvt Buses use this route except that they get into salem and erode.
