leading up to rotations, during, and then after they fin-

about their preparedness heading into rotations stating Spring banquet at the
that their coursework really was crucial in being com- Qwest
petent in the fieldwork. Also, it was commented that

Creighton is really easy to work with when wanting to set up new sites.

No matter what question was though, one main theme ran through all of
them: Communicate. Whether it’s your P3 year and you’re working on getting
things set up, or while you’re at a site that you are unfamiliar with, make sure
that you’re communicating with the staff and preceptors.

The panel came to a close with the final question of, “Has a rotation
changed your perspective?” The overwhelming response from the panel was,
“yes”. Craig Marx said, “Keep an open mind, choose your first job wisely… Phar-
macy is going to see a lot of change while we’re practicing.”

So a big thanks goes out to all of our panelists for coming and taking the time
to share their thoughts and experiences with our chapter. Their time and advice was
extremely appreciated!

Its almost here! Are you ready?

The APhA-ASP national meeting is fast approaching—are you
registered? If not make sure that you do it BEFORE MARCH 4th; reg-
istration is $170 up until that point and then after, the fee goes up to
$210. Register now to get the best price!

After you’re done registering for the meeting at

www.aphameeting.org make sure that you register on Creighton’s ASP
website so that you’re eligible for the gracious reimbursement that
Dean Bradberry is offering once again this year.

One thing to note about the reimbursement package though, it

must be earned through attending meetings in San Antonio. Each
person must attend either 2 primary meetings and 2 secondary
meetings, or 1 primary and 3 secondary meetings. Meeting atten-
dance will be taken when each member signs in at the site. Be sure to
watch your e-mails for the list of “preceptors” that will be in charge of
taking attendance at each meeting.

Please reference the e-mail sent out by Kathryn Schmid listing

all of the primary and secondary meetings that will be counted as re-
imbursement. Please note that any meetings not on the list may still
be attended, they will just not count toward reimbursement.

You must sign in at all meetings that you are in attendance for.
If you do not sign in, you were not there, this is the policy that has
been instated for this meeting. There will be no exceptions. Please
also note that attire for the meeting is professional dress.
Get excited and get registered!

Be watching your e-mail for the opportunity to order a

Creighton University Pharmacy polo. At the national
meeting, Sunday is going to be the designated day
when everyone can wear their polo to show off their
Creighton and Pharmacy pride. These polos can also
be worn at health fairs.

The next service opportunity is

going to be with Habitat for Hu-
manity. Its on March 21st from
8:30—12:30 pm. Please meet in

Deglman Circle at 8:15 am. Thank you to all who signed up, but all the
spots are now filled. Great job!

* NPA/SPAN is fast approaching! This meeting, although starting

early in the morning, is a great opportunity to watch the legislative
part of pharmacy. This annual meeting is being held in Lincoln, Ne
on March 31st, and is the legislative meeting for 2009. Contact Guy
Perkins with any questions concerning this meeting.
