GH
Impresa
Turistica
------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Impresa” represents our particu-

lar combination of touristic activities,
starting from the idea that the holiday
economy shouldn’t be exported or im-
planted: it is founded upon a relation-
ship between hosts and guests, rooted
in a context of experiences that take
place and assume meaning in each lo-
cation.

GH Impresa Turistica boasts a de-

centralized, horizontal structure, and
unites knowledge, technology and
know-how. It develops all of the prin-
cipal activities that characterize the
touristic sector and applies the results
of its research to policies of develop-
ment within its territories and the real-
ization of web communication projects.

The Tour Operating of GH Impresa Tur-

istica is organized with respect to pre-
cise desires and needs of tourists and
operators. Different brands propose
and distinguish a variety of styles,
methods and service offers for travel-
ers and vacationers, with the unifying
theme of on-line acquisition and devel-
opment of made-to-order proposals,
which are otherwise hard to find. The
catalog of GH Impresa Turistica pro-
poses itineraries, trips and journeys
exclusively located in the Mediterra-
nean. Currently in Calabria, Sardinia,
Dalmatia, Sicily, Puglia, Campania and
Morocco.

We are a business of territory-based

businesses.

Terremobili offers travelers the opportunity to get closer
to the hidden Mediterranean, by way of this unforget-
table cruise. We propose a week-long trip on a catama-
ran, a historical vessel with Turkish origins, supplied with
every comfort. You will have the possibility to sail in the
company of an expert captain who will help you discover a
naturalistically precious land. The true Dalmatia must be
discovered from the element that constitutes its essential
character: the blue sea.

p_29
DAY 1: BRAC

Sailing from Split towards east, along the north coast of

the island of Brac, until you reach a small port of Split-
ska. With the Mistral, we recommend that you drop the
anchor in the middle of the port, while with the Bora the
best place for boats is at the quay.
------------------------------------------------------

DAY 2: LUKA BAY

Luka bay and Povlja bay provide a good shelter for all
boats. With the strong Mistral, you should stay at Luka,
which is better protected. Numerous small inlets around
the bay provide many mooring possibilities.
-------------------------------------------------------

DAY 3: BOL

Bol is the most frequently visited destination of the

island of Brac. It’s a small port, protected from all win-
ds, except from south-west winds. The pier west of the
port is used mostly as an embarkation point for tour
and excursion boats (3 meters deep). The central part
of the promenade is equipped with bollards. You can an-
chor near the most famous beach Zlatni Rat, only if the
weather is fine. However, pay attention to the area re-
served for swimming. West of the beach, the anchor will
not hold. For those who search for a quiet place, we re-
commend Vrboska, on the island of Hvar. Vrboska offers
many mooring possibilities, with mooring buoys available
at the ACI marina and at the town quay.
------------------------------------------------------

DAY 4: STARI GRAD

Stari Grad – the quay in front of the port authorities is

equipped with mooring buoys, water and electricity. It’s
a quiet and pleasant place. Secluded bays of Tiha penin-
sula offer some interesting mooring spots; Glavna and
Vlaska, though exposed to the Mistral, provide a good
shelter from Bora and Scirocco winds.

Cape Pelegrin – on the westernmost edge of the island.

East of the cape Pelegrin, you will find some bays ex-
posed to north winds. From there, you can continue to-
wards Hvar, the main town of the island. The port of Hvar
is exposed to south winds. Here it’s difficult to find a
berth, because many boaters stop over to the port. You
can anchor anywhere, just pay attention to the ferries.
The anchor will hold good. ACI marina Palmizana lies in
a small archipelago of Pakleni Island, facing the town of
Hvar. It’s very popular in summer, and from there you
can take a taxi-boat services to Hvar.
------------------------------------------------------

DAY 6: SOLTA

Stomorska (Solta island) – a pleasant port equipped with

many mooring buoys at the eastern quay. The Mistral
and Bora can be strong, but not dangerous.
-------------------------------------------------------

DAY 7: DRVENIK VELI AND DEPARTURE

The island of Drvenik Veli provides two moorings: Krknjaš

and Solinska. Solinska is not frequently visited; however
pay attention to the rocks. Krknjaš is rather popular as
a mooring. Pay attention only to the rocks on the north
side. In late afternoon, return to Split.

DAY 5: SEASIDE ROUTE AND THE LOCALES
OF ANDREA CAMILLERI

-----------------------------------------------

Punta Piccola, Punta Grande and the Scala dei

Turchi: an enchanting seaside route among some
of the province’s most beautiful spots, finally
reaching Porto Empedocle, the so-called Vigata
of Montalbano.

This is where Camilleri set his celebrated detec-

tive stories about the Commissioner, between
Vigata and Montelusa, imaginary locations that
cannot be found on a map but would be geo-
graphically located in the area between the hills
of Girgenti and the African Sea. Camilleri called
them semi-fantastical locations that “exist as
a basic place-name structure” to create a net
for his characters; the borders have a varying
geometry in order to best satisfy the demands
of the narrative.

Porto Empedocle is Vigata, with its streets,

abandoned factories, the Mannara, the light-
house, the flat rock, the Salita Granet, Marinella
Beach, the easterly pier, the Commissariato on
Via Lincoln, Monte Crasto, San Calogero Res-
taurant, Enzo’s Trattoria and the white-clay
hills. Girgenti is Montelusa with its Questura
and the Rabato Quarter. These towns really do
exist, but under the spell of Camilleri’s pen they
HISTORICAL absorb one another and the characteristics of
CULTURAL other Sicilian towns: they become paradigmatic
01B of Sicily itself.
----------------------
SICILY
In this sense Vigata can be defined as the “most

A week-end at Morano Calabro, one of Italy’s most beau-

surround the Pollino Mountains on the border between
Calabria and Basilicata. In this area, the historical build-
ings were renovated with full respect to ancient culture

During the mornings at Morano Calabro we will have break-

fast at the feet of the Norman-Swabian Castle, savoring
ricotta with berry jam; during the evening we can stroll
along the alleys and streets of the town center. During
the day, we will enjoy the natural resources of the Na-
tional Park of Pollino: the rapids of the Lao river promise
exciting, difficult rafting opportunities.

This is a week-end of adventure and fun: the discovery of

a historic, cultural identity of one Calabrese town and the
extraordinary nature that surrounds it.

The Librandi Cantina has researched and cultivated
these grapes for years, creating one of the most relevant
