Foreword
This book is about revivals. It analyses some of the key revivals in history and draws precious lessons from them. These periods of Gods visitation are nearly always a result of intense prayer and seeking after God with a pure heart. Drawing upon their first-hand experience in their ministry around the world, Ps Paul and Christina Ang share the principles of revival. As loyal citizens of Malaysia, they long for revival to happen in their nation. If God has done it in history to other lands and to our nation at Bekalalan in the 1980s, God can do it again in our lifetime. All we need to do is to pray, repent and seek God with all our heart, mind and soul. May we all join Ps Paul and Ps Christina to cry out for an Open Heaven over Malaysia. Chapter One
What is Open Heaven?

About 2 years ago, I was ministering in Ghana. My wonderful friend, Emmanuel Sackey had arranged for me to speak in a church in Accra under the leadership of Reverend Ampiah Kwofi. It was at an all-night prayer service and my speaking slot was from 11 pm to 12 am. This being my first time in that church, I did not know what to expect. We were wondering how many would turn up for such a prayer meeting. My memory went back to my former church days in the early 1990s where God moved so powerfully in the night

prayer meetings. There was such excitement and expectancy then amongst the 200 - 300 attendees at those meetings. As we reached the church compound, to my great surprise a huge crowd had gathered a whopping 3000 attendees! Can you imagine the exhilaration? The immense roar of these precious saints shouting and praying in tongues deafening like a rushing waterfall! There was great anticipation of what was to come. I felt very conscious of being the only Chinese as all eyes were fixed on me as I took the microphone to speak. At that moment, behold, I felt such an anointing and grace flowing from above. Without any effort or religious priming of the well, I literally sensed an open heaven like showers of water flowing on the whole congregation. For the next hour, I was speaking under the grace of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. The Spirit of prophecy came upon me and I was speaking prophetically for that one hour. I could see that the Senior Pastor and the congregation were amazed with what they experienced and heard. Little did they know then, that I was also very surprised and refreshed! It was an open heaven experience for all of us. In my 27 years of preaching and speaking, I had never experience anything like this before as if a mighty shower of rain was falling from the sky. It was like the roof of the

church was removed and the open sky looking down on us! Just the pure grace of Jesus - unexpected, unmerited, undeserved! Two years later (2009), I was back in Ghana to speak at Emmanuel Sackeys church during their 10th anniversary celebration. On Friday night, I was requested by the man of God, Reverent Dr. Robert Ampiah Kwofi to speak at the all-night prayer meeting which started at 8pm and ended at 5am the next morning. This regular Friday all-night prayer has been going on for the last 10 years. The attendance had increased from 3,000 during my last visit to about 7,000 for weekday prayer meetings and to 10,000 for Friday prayer meetings. The fervency and intensity of the prayers were unbelievable sounding like a might roar for warfare and at times like a torrent of rushing water! The saints prayed with all their might and being not just for few minutes but vehement cries and travails lasting several hours. God gave me a message, The birth of a new season for them. I felt like a mid-wife in a maternity ward assisting in the delivery of babies that were conceived last season. How can the nation of Ghana be the same again as God prepares His people there for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit? Incidentally, the Christian population in Ghana is

60-70%. Most streets have churches. Shops and motor vehicles display Christian slogan and scriptures. In short, Ghana is experiencing open heavens as the people of God continue to press in prayer to seek the face of God. I have ministered in 7 nations of Africa and I personally believe that Ghana stands out among those 7 nations. Jesus Christ began His early ministry after He was baptized at River Jordan: Luke 3: 21-23 21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased. 23 Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli. Matthew 3: 16-17 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
While Jesus prayed, the heavens were opened! Open heaven is when the Wonderful, Blessed Holy Spirit comes upon our lives, releasing amazing grace, favor, wisdom and ability to do what God has commissioned and assigned us to accomplish. Open heaven also causes us to be acutely sensitive to Gods voice just as Jesus heard the voice of His Heavenly Father. There was direct communication with heavens headquarters. Churches and individuals that experience open heaven will normally sense the tangible presence of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. In contrast, some Christians and churches are dry and lifeless. It is almost as if the voice of God and revelation are rare like in the days of Eli in Israel: 1 Samuel 3:1b ...And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. Open heaven also means Gods approval and pleasure on the church and individuals just like the Father was pleased

with Jesus. Jesus Christ also received encouragement and approval from His Father before He stepped into the ministry that was assigned to Him before the creation and foundation of the world. Hearing Gods voice and receiving approval from our Heavenly Father are so vital in our walk with God and our work in His Vineyard. Two of the most powerful secrets in our walk and ministry are the constant voice of His Guidance and His Approval of who we are and what we are doing. An open heaven is an awesome yardstick that points to us that we are in the right track, right place, right connection, right mission, right motive and right heart. How refreshing and inspiring! May God grant us open heaven in every church, every city and every nation! May an open heaven cover the nations as the waters cover the sea! Get ready church! Get ready pastors! Get ready nations! Get ready because before Jesus Christ comes for His Bride, we are going to experience open heaven where even the largest stadiums of the world cannot contain the people who experience salvation, healing, deliverance, miracles, signs and wonders! Hallelujah! If you believe, you may say AMEN with me! Amen and Amen!

Pure Heart
Matthew 5:8 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. What an awesome word from our Lord Jesus Himself. I believe this is one of the greatest breakthrough keys to experience open heaven in an individuals life. What attracts attention from heaven is a person on earth who has purity of heart. A pure heart does not mean the person is sinless or blameless. According to Jesus, a person who has a pure heart is one without guile or deception.

John 1:47-51 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!

Nathaniel was immensely surprised when Jesus said to him that there was no deceit found in him. The word deceit in the Greek, literally means that there are no snakes. To understand Jesus explanation without snakes, we may have to look at Jesus sermon to the Pharisees, scribes and religious teachers in His time.

No wonder they wanted to kill Him. The Pharisees might have impressed men but certainly not Jesus. The religious teachers and leaders were living hypocritical lives with skeletons in their closets! Arent we all tired of trying to impress men? To some degree, the art of impressing people is quite easy to master. When I first received my doctorate in Theology, I wanted the whole world to know. Without a second thought, I had name cards with the title DR printed in no time. Showing off? Yes! When one pastor saw my name card, I could immediately perceive that he was greatly impressed. So, how do we attract Gods attention? God will look for us when our hearts are without deceit. Heavens Google Earth will quickly zoom into your heart. Jesus was greatly refreshed to see Nathaniels heart without a single serpent. John the Baptist also called his audience brood of vipers when he preached to the multitude: Luke 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? It seems that our hearts and lives are very transparent in the spirit realm. Any person walking in the spirit realm can easily perceive our hearts condition. For example, when

Simon the sorcerer saw the power of God displayed through the laying on of hands by the apostles, Simon wanted to purchase this special power. Apostle Peter instantly corrected Simon that his heart was not right in the sight of God. How to impress God? Simply walk in the purity and integrity of our hearts! Revelation Knowledge Many of us think Simon Peter was the first person to receive the revelation knowledge of who Jesus was (Matthew 16:1617). Actually it was Nathaniel who received the revelation that Jesus was the Son of God and the King of Israel. It was at Nathaniels first encounter with Jesus. How did Nathaniel know? Flesh and blood did not reveal it to him but God the Father in Heaven! Blessings of a pure heart will cause us to: 1. Attract Jesus Attention

Obstacles to Purity The pain of betrayal is probably one of the most painful emotions that anyone can experience. Betrayal, bitterness and inability to forgive others that wrong us can pollute our hearts. I felt a tiny dose of what Jesus experienced at the garden of Gethsemane when Judas Iscariot (a disciple of the inner circle who travelled with Jesus for more than 3 years) betrayed Him for 30 mere pieces of silver! When we first took over a church that had gone through storms and earthquakes, we decided to groom new leaders. A young and upcoming faithful and loyal leader caught our attention. We will call him Sim (not his real name). In no time, he was promoted to a very key leadership position in the church. One day Sim returned from a Hillsong conference in Australia. With new zeal and fresh teaching from Brian Houston and Darlene, Sim exhorted and encouraged the church to submit and support our leadership when he was given the pulpit to make announcements. It was just like Simon Peter who promised Jesus that he would die for Him. At the very next breath, Jesus prophesied that Simon Peter would deny Him 3 times. I wish we had Jesus discernment! Few weeks after Sims return from Australia, we had just

finished our church camp. The morale of the leaders was high and little did we realize that the devil would choose to strike at this moment. After our usual prayer meeting, Sim called for an emergency council meeting. At that meeting, our faithful and loyal disciple threw his resignation letter. Sim then took out his machine gun and fired us with shots of venomous words loaded with fiery darts from hell! Christina and I wept all the way as we drove home that night. Oh the pain of betrayal! It was truly difficult to sleep that night. What did we do to deserve all these? We were filling a vacuum left by the former pastor and cleaning up the big mess in that church. Hundreds of questions flooded my soul that night. The next day, I found myself still nursing deep wounds. I could not pray. When I read the Bible, nothing registered. That afternoon I was replaying the counsel meeting of that cruel night in my mind. Suddenly I started to recall all the weaknesses and mistakes of Sim. I also remembered a sin Sim had confessed after responding to the preaching of Gods Word. Sim had used a machine gun but I comforted myself in that I was going to use a weapon of mass destruction (the one that Saddam Hussein supposedly had). After all, I was the Senior Pastor. Suddenly like a torrent, harsh and rude

words that I have never used since I was born again started coming back to me. With my diary opened to a fresh page, I began to jot down all my points of rebuttal against Sim with a strange anointing. Half way through, the Spirit of God spoke 5 words: RECORDS ARE KEPT IN HEAVEN. I dropped my pen and realized God was asking me not to seek revenge vengeance belongs to God. The next morning in the prayer room, I found myself in the same predicament. I could not pray or read the Bible. I just didnt know what to do! This was getting serious. In a flash, a familiar song came to me, A Pure Heart, thats what I long for... I began to sing once, thrice and then perhaps up to 20 or 30 times! I lost count. As I sang, my heart began to soften with Gods love. I was weeping profusely without realization. Finally, I could forgive Sim. In fact, I was so filled with His love and forgiveness to the extent that I could have effortlessly given Sim a bear hug if he was physically there at that time. Almost 2 hours passed and my T-shirt was soaked with sweat and tears. I left the prayer room that day totally released like what Jesus said: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God Amen and Amen!

Draw Near The Throne Psalm 15:1-3 1 LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; 3 He who does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; What a great psalm of David. David was the only man who was given the honor of the title A man after Gods heart. King David must have learnt some beautiful lessons on drawing near to Gods presence and abiding in His Tabernacle as we see: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. It is the season for us to ascend to Heaven in worship with clean hands, cleansed lips and a pure heart. Not only must we love God but also our neighbors. Notice the specific

department involved in those 6 areas mentioned by David: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Involves our walk Involves our hands Involves our tongue and heart Involves our tongue Involves our hands Involves faithfulness and loyalty to friends.
Let us check our lives in these 6 areas, lest they hinder us from abiding in Gods presence. Nothing was more important to David than the abiding presence of God in his life. That is the reason David pleaded with God not to take His presence from him when he fell into sin (Psalm 51). Without Gods presence in our lives, we are just shells: empty and meaningless! Just like the Preacher said in Ecclesiastes, Vanity all is vanity. We can have all money, power, fame, honor, titles, etc but without God and His Presence, life is just empty and meaningless. Naked we come to this world and naked we shall return. Let us worship Him and abide in His Presence. Amen!

By Pastor Dr. Christina Ang If we want open heaven, we need the help of the Holy Spirit. It is essential that our lives be kept pure and holy, a fountain of fresh living water that gushes from our inward being so that the Holy Spirit will be so comfortable to dwell within us and operate through us.

How can our fountain be kept from being polluted? James 3:11 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?

Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.
The Bible makes it clear that no fountain can have fresh and bitter water together. Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Root of Bitterness Hebrews 12:15 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; Bitter roots produce bitter trees which in turn produce bitter fruits. Many years ago, there appeared on my face a little growth as small as a pimple. That little growth caused my

face to swell up and it was indeed so ugly to behold. A man of God laid his hands on the growth and cursed its roots. Every day from that day onwards, when I looked at the mirror I cursed the roots of the growth. Soon the roots dried up and the growth withered. The swelling on my face was gone. Bitterness is like the roots of that growth even though it is very small, it can swell up the entire face. It is like a little leaven that leavens the whole lump. Deuteronomy 29:18 18 so that there may not be among you man or woman or family or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations, and that there may not be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood; God makes it clear that He wants His people to be purified from the poison of bitterness. There are a few Hebrew words for bitterness. Rosh means venom, bitter, poisonous (Deut. 29:18) Mamror means a bitter thing, bitterness (Job 9:18) Morrah (Proverbs 14:10) and Memer (Proverbs 17:25) means bitterness All of these words reveal the condition of the heart of man bearing the root of bitterness.

Poison of Bitterness In Acts chapter 8, Peter rebuked Simon who was coveting the gifts and the power of God with wrong motives. He thought that he could purchase the power of God with money. Peter received a revelation about the condition of Simons heart. Acts 8:23 23 For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity. The Greek word here for bitterness is Pikia (bitter gall) which means: a) Extreme wickedness b) A bitter root and so producing bitter fruit c) Metaphor for bitterness, bitter hatred. Bitterness is like poison. Even a small amount of poison can totally contaminate our fountain. How much more if we are held captive by the spirit of bitterness? If you were to drink a glass of pure distilled water, there is sweetness about that water. It is so fresh and refreshing to a thirsty soul. However if you put in just a drop of venom in it, you could die although the venom is only about 0.1ml in a one liter jug!

How do we keep clear of bitterness? 1. Release forgiveness and blessing Jesus taught on forgiveness in all the Gospels: a) Matthew 6:14,15 14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses
b) Mark 11:25-26 25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

c) Luke 6:37 37 Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

d) John 20:23 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained. 2. Release prayer and blessing on our enemies and persecutors Jesus makes it clear that we as the children of God must forgive and bless like God does: Matthew 5: 43-48 43 You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
About a few years ago, I realized that something was not quite right with my body. My visit to the Gynecologist revealed that there was a growth in one of my ovaries. This growth grew rapidly and was about 3 times its size. The tumor test CA125 reading was pretty high and I was advised to operate immediately. This news brought me on my knees before God. I sought him and inquired how a woman of God like me, who is busy serving God, could fall into this predicament. Search me o Lord and know my heart. See if there is a wicked way in me. I also knew a curse without a cause wouldnt alight on my body. Proverbs 26:2 Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight. Then I began to pray asking God to show me when and where I had opened the door for this to happen. Then scenes and flashes of people and events came to my mind. I knew God was telling me something about the people that had offended me before.

I thought I had forgiven those who wronged us when Paul was the senior pastor of a church that had heaps of financial problems as well as other issues. The founding pastors fall was a hard blow for all of us. Having to pick up the pieces and pastor the church and be a comfort to the broken, discouraged, disheartened and angry people was a hard struggle and a battle all the way. God gave us tremendous grace when we took the reins of that sinking ship. With God-given wisdom and grace, the church was on her feet again. When our main task was done, we graciously stepped down and passed it over to the remaining leaders, giving them seven months notice of resignation. However, there are always some who will never be happy and constantly complain. Worse still is when the vicious attacks and betrayal comes from a person who is greatly loved and treasured! The Lord revealed to me that though I had said in my mouth, I forgive you, I still had not prayed a prayer of blessing. Releasing them with the tremendous love of Jesus and hoping that God would do a mighty work in them is really dying to self. Any ordinary person would curse and turn away in wrath from their betrayers. Nevertheless, that was not what Jesus did when people persecuted Him, He cried out for mercy and forgiveness.

We are not to be an ordinary people but an extra-ordinary people. Luke 23:34a Then Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do Stephen in Acts 7:59, followed the same example with spirit of love and mercy like Jesus. Lord, do not charge them with this sin. The Lord revealed that there was an unseen layer of grief embedded in my soul that was rotting. This was breeding the root of bitterness that attracted the cancerous spirit of infirmity to lodge in my body. So convicted by the Lord, I knelt before Him and pleaded mercy on behalf of my accusers. After blessing them with my prayer, the Lord opened my eyes to the truth on His word. I have seen this truth many times and even heard people preach about mountain moving faith and read books of faith along these lines. But that was simply information in my head. It did not make sense in reality to me though I have understood and even mentally assented that it was truth. I had not accepted it to be life-changing truth as yet until that point. It takes a revelation from God to drop down like the dew of refreshing from Heaven.

pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. The Lord enlightened my heart that all I needed to do was to speak, believing in the authority of His word. I could speak to whatever obstacle before me that needs to be cleared. For me, that meant I could speak to any cells that are bad or cancerous and command them to turn around in Jesus name and it must happen! I knew I needed a promise or something to latch on and put my confidence in. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of the cross. Yes! At that wondrous cross, my precious Savior was used by Father God to cut a covenant with man. At the cross, once the atonement was made (nailed and crucified on the cross), Jesus (John 19:30) cried out It is finished! And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. Taking the bread in my hands I said: Lord You said this is Your body broken for me and I take it in remembrance of all that You have done for me. Isaiah 53 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Then I took the cup and said Lord You said that this is Your blood was shed for me for the remission of sins. I believe as I partake, Your blood enters my bloodstream and every cell, Your blood touches and turns around every bad, diseased and cancerous cell in Jesus name. Then I kept speaking to every cell in my body to turn around and be good and healthy. An operation was done on the ovaries as well as the uterus as a precaution just in case there was a cancer and to stop it from spreading. Besides, the uterus had an endometriosis condition too. However, when the lab test was taken of the growth, the operated uterus and ovary to determine the evidences of cancer and the extent of the cancerous disease, it was a clear negative. There was NO indication of cancer or evidences or cancerous diseased cells! Alleluia! A miracle happened once my fountain was cleansed from bitterness and replaced with the awesome power of Gods promises! This miracle taught me a good lesson that there is tremendous power released when we flow in the love and compassion of God to pray for our accusers and have mercy on them.

We need to flow in this power of forgiveness and love. By doing so, we also place the person of the world who hates Jesus and Christians at the altar of prayer. Our prayers would move the hand of God to touch and do a transformation on the lives of those in the world who hate Jesus. That, my friends, will be the start of a tremendous work of God in our midst. Stephen cried to God not to charge those martyring him which included Saul of Tarsus for their sin. That powerful cry had paved a way for people like Saul to go through a tremendous transformation. Saul became Paul that great apostle of Jesus who transformed Christianity through his writings. Jesus made mention in John 20:23 a privilege given to us His joint-heirs: 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained. Jesus also cried forgiveness at the cross. His persecutors were forgiven the moment Jesus cried out: Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. Jesus atonement would have been in vain if He did not have mercy and prayed that God the Father would forgive those who put Jesus on the cross. The bible says that while we were yet sinners and His enemies, Christ died for us.

Jesus forgave freely though He was wrongly accused and charged. His forgiveness and mercy brought salvation to us. His love and forgiveness gave Him the victory at the cross. The price Jesus paid at the cross was not only giving His life as a ransom for us but also releasing forgiveness towards mankind as He suffered. He led an exemplary life of mercy and forgiveness. We must follow His example as His seed! Our fountain must also be kept pure from the pollution of corrupt thoughts and conversation. We must allow the salt of Gods word to sanitize us daily and cleanse away the wickedness of the world from polluting our fountain. Psalms 19:14 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

When heaven is shut and there is no spiritual and natural rain, it is time to consider our ways. When economic recession and pestilence like AH1N1 virus invade the nations, it is a wakeup call for Gods people to take action! We have to obey four instructions from God before He brings three blessings on earth. The four instructions: 1. 2. 3. 4. No worship, no rain! What a command! What a requirement to experience rain in their lands and blessings from Heaven. Worship is one of the most powerful keys that unlocks the shut heaven over our nations, churches and individuals. The greatest war that was fought over the centuries and ages since the creation of mankind was over WORSHIP. God Almighty created the whole universe to worship Him. The entire creation including mankind was created to worship God Almighty and Him alone. The Devil on the other hand wanted to steal the worship due to God by mankind. Satan plotted the downfall of mankind at the Garden of Eden so that sinful man would no longer desire to worship God. Rebellion and wickedness has marked the human

races defiance of God the Creator ever since. Mankind has degenerated to worship creation and even Satan himself. Consequently, heaven is shut and Gods judgment released! God redeemed the fall of man through Jesus Christ. The battle that was fought between Jesus and the Devil was at the Temptation in the wilderness. Here Satan offered Jesus all the glory and splendor of the whole earth if only Jesus would bow and worship him. Jesus defeated Satan by declaring that only God Almighty should be served and worshipped! VICTORY OVER THE CURSE When man failed to worship God and lived in a sinful state of disobedience to Gods law, man inevitably replaced worshipping God with the worship of the devil and creation. The curse of poverty, sickness and shut heavens prevailed. In India, where millions of gods and animals are worshipped, the people experience closed heaven. Whenever the gospel is preached and people turn to Jesus Christ and worship the Savior of the world, light shines into their lives like the suns rays breaking through the clouds. Economic blessings, health, cleanliness and progress are some proofs of open heaven.

We have visited many towns and cities in the world. We have noticed that towns or cities with a high Christian population that worships Jesus Christ enjoys great blessings and open heaven. The spiritual atmosphere in such places seems to be wholesome. There is always cleanliness, order, peace, prosperity and openness to the gospel. Revival Rain Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. In those days, the economy of the country was based on agricultural products and livestock. Rain was essential for the well being of the economy and sustenance. The prosperity and wealth of nations depended solely on the blessings of open heaven. 1. Seasonal rain would ensure the sowing season commences at the right time. This in turn would ensure a bountiful harvest. 2. Unless there is sufficient rain, all the work of breaking the fallow ground and sowing of precious seeds would

be futile. An open heaven ensures that the work of your hands is blessed. We may plant and water, but God is the One who causes the supernatural increase. 3. Open Heaven also causes Gods chosen people to have more than enough so that they can lend to nations and not borrow. Many saints live from hand to mouth with just barely enough to get by. God desires that we experience lending and not borrowing. In other words, open heaven makes us to live without debts. The awesome news is that the promises and blessings in Deut 28:12 are for Abraham and his descendants. Galatians 3:13 -14 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

That the mountains might shake at Your presence AZUSA STREET REVIVAL On April 1906 there was an earthquake that shook and almost levelled San Francisco. Ironically that same month, a Holy Spirit Revival shook the city of Los Angeles. A pastor in Chicago, Pastor William Durham had read about

a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in Los Angeles and was determined to witness it firsthand himself. He also desired to experience the baptism of the Spirit and anointing for ministry. However the secular press the Los Angeles Daily Times did not give an encouraging report of what had transpired at 312 Azusa Street. As soon as I entered the place, I saw that God was there. The Holy Ghost seemed to have perfect control. My soul melted down before the Lord, Durham wrote. The revival meeting at Azusa Street Mission would start at 9 am and continue unceasingly until past midnight. The air of expectancy filled the service. Nobody knew what was going to happen next. Singing and clapping might be 15 minutes or 2 hours. At times, the crowd would sing in unknown languages with lovely harmony and tunes that human beings were not capable of learning in the natural. At other times, the congregation would be still and quiet before the Lord in reverent worship and sobbing. The revival became a movement that impacted the whole world with what we call the Pentecostal Movement. People from the four corners of the earth began to be baptized in the Spirit and spoke with unknown and unlearned tongues just like in Acts 1:8.

William Seymour He was the pastor of the Apostolic Faith Gospel Mission at 312 Azusa Street from April 1906 until his death in 1922. The revival that took place under his leadership was the catalyst for the spread of Pentecostal movement around the globe. William Seymour was chosen by God to be the primary leader in the Azusa Street revival. At 35 years old when he arrived in Los Angeles, William was ridiculed and persecuted by the secular newspapers. Seymours motivation was to lift up Jesus and talk about Jesus-not tongues. A black man of great humility and blind in one eye, William Seymour believed in the unity of the body of Christ. It was unusual and refreshing to see Blacks. Whites, Hispanics, Asians and others worshipping and singing together under the same roof at Azusa Street. God used an unexpected vessel that was yielded to His will and purpose and ready to give Him all the glory! An eye witness testified about Seymour, I looked around the room trying to spot the leader, William Seymour. I expected him to be seated in a prominent position, but I was surprised when I located him. He was sitting behind two wooden crates stacked on top of each other and covered with cloth. He had his head bowed low inside it. He wept and prayed throughout the worship. Finally, the singing stopped and

Seymour stood to speak. He was not a loud, demonstrative preacher like some of his counterparts. He spoke on the Lords return to Earth. The Holy Spirits conviction was strong. When he finished his message, Seymour called for the repentant to come to the altar. Grown men were weeping under the weight of sins. After the prayer time, there was another round of singing. Someone started to sing in tongues. Another person joined in. Across the building other voices blended together. They called this phenomenon the heavenly choir. When the music faded, various people began to share testimonies. Many were healed instantaneously and miraculously after being touched by the power of God. Man from India Every persons attention was on this foreign guest when he stood up to testify. The man worked on a ship that brought him to Los Angeles. He was a Hindu and somehow he found himself at Azusa Street. While he was at the service, a little girl stood on a bench and began to speak in perfect Hindi language. She told the surprised guest about his life, named his sins and told him that Jesus is the Savior. After the service, the man learned that the girl had never been to India and never knew one word of Hindi. His life was forever changed! As the service began to wind down, I realized it was past midnight. I had been at the depilated mission for 10 hours.

Just as Jesus chose to be born in a manger, God chose this humble abode to manifest His Glory. The Azusa Street revival was not a complete restoration of the church. Neither was it without the failings and human errors like many other revivals. However, it did spark off a worldwide Pentecostal Movement that impacted the nations and influenced generations. Wonderful and lasting happenings came out of this revival: 1. There was a great hunger to seek God like never before 2. The Word of God became alive and quickened those impacted by the fire of revival 3. There was a great harvest of souls 4. There was a greater unity among the body of Christ especially between the blacks and the whites. The Blood of Jesus washed away the color line 5. Believers were baptized in the Holy Spirit and were empowered for service and ministry May God send the revival again and again! Amen.

Revival in Ba Kelalan (East Malaysia) 1

Prophet Agung Bangau (also known as Pak Agung) was a much respected and honored man of God in the Lun Bawang community2 in Sarawak, East Malaysia. He was well known for his prophetic revelations and the miraculous signs that God performed through him. Born in Pinang Kelalan near Buduk Nur in 1943, Pak Agung Bangau did not possess any musical talent or leadership quality but was a man who walked closely with God like

Enoch (Genesis 5:24). The toils of the hard village life since his younger days, made him look older than his age. He was married to Bulan Dawat. She is a little woman with a big heart for the Lord and His people. They ware blessed with seven children. Unlike most Lun Bawangs who were typically playful, he was a man of honesty, integrity, gentleness and great humility. There was an inner strength of character and spirit in this man. He carried an aura of the holiness of God. There were numerous occasions when his spirit man was taken by the Lord to the heavenly realms3. There were numerous occassons when his spirit man was taken to the heavenly realms. He was a great man of prayer, spending long hours and days in prayer and fasting in the mountains. Pak Agung experienced many strange and supernatural manifestations of God in his life. He had heard audible voices, sounds and even apparitions speaking to him in a strange language which he understood. When he first received the strange message he refused to tell anyone about it for fear of being ostracized. ANGELIC VISITATION The first miracle occurred on 20th of September, 1994 where water was turned to oil and rice grain turned to

flour. He had a visitation from an angel who showed him the power of God on the prayer mountain. Pak Agung had also received many holy songs from angels which had been written down and taught to the village folks. He also learnt some songs which were given to him in dreams. He recited the words and hummed tunes so that others could record the songs on paper. He has composed at least twenty songs which have been recorded in a hymn book. Sometimes a choir of angels would teach him a song and he would remember the lyrics and the tune. The first time Pak Agung saw an angel was in September, 1974. Recalling the incident, he said, he was in his room when he heard a voice calling his name4. When he heard his name being called, he challenged the spirits to show themselves if they were truly from God. He then saw two angels appear and the whole room was illuminated and filled with the glory of God. He was positive that it was not a dream for he was fully awake at that time. Suddenly a ray of light shone into his room and he was taken in the Spirit above the planet Earth. Pak Agung saw many things in the heavenly realm which included the planet Earth, angels and demonic spirits.

HIS PROPHECIES The Lost Boy During one of the regular prayer meetings in which Pak Agung attended, he exhorted the group to pray for one particular family. He mentioned the family by name indicating that trouble would befall them. Almost a year after that prayer meeting, the third child of the family mentioned, a teenage boy was lost in the jungle for fourteen days. For days search parties were sent out into the jungles. Pak Agung declared that there was no need to worry over the lost boy as he would soon find his own way back home. On the fourteenth day he was found at the familys farm house, well and unharmed. A Sign of Fire Before his gifts were recognized publicly, Pak Agung often confided to his closed prayer meeting members certain revelations from God. On one occasion, he confided to them that God would give a sign of fire at Buduk Bui, one of the six villages of Ba Kelalan. Over the Easter Convention at Buduk Nur in April 1985, it was made public

by announcement in one of the meetings. On the 9th of May, 1985, the sign occurred. Many had gathered to witness it including six outsiders from Lawas and three Singaporean brothers. Death of Pak Agungs Mother (25th July 1982) On Sunday morning (25th July 1982), Pak Agung purposely chose to stay at the bedside of his sickly mother. He persuaded all the other family members to attend the main Sunday church service. The Holy Spirit had given him knowledge that God would take his mother home that very morning. On returning after the main service, the family members found Pak Agung and his mother in the room. The latter was already well dressed for her departure to the eternal home. Pak Agung consoled them not to be too sorrowful because she was taken into glory. Outreach Team from Europe In a prayer meeting, Pak Agung mentioned of an impending European Outreach Ministry team to Ba Kelalan. Just barely two weeks after the revelation, a team of seventeen Europeans flew to Ba Kelalan by chartered flights from Marudi. God tremendously blessed their four days of ministry among the people.

Miracle of Flour and Oil Two brothers Musa Sigar and Mika Sigar (both were Christian teachers at Ba Kelalan) saw the miracle of the changing of rice into flour and water into oil. Both the brothers had gone on a trip to Bukit Tudal with a group of 37 people, to witness the miracle as prophesied by Pak Agung. The group was given instructions to bring along with them an empty biscuit tin, four small milk tins, a bottle of water and two bags of uncooked rice placed in two separate red plastic bags. The team left Buduk Nur on 20th September 1985 and climbed for almost two hours before reaching their destination. Pak Agung led the congregation in prayer for an hour. Subsequently Pak Agung requested four people to taste the bottle of water they had brought along to prove it was water and not oil. The same four people were then instructed to pour a small portion of water into three small empty milk tins and the biscuit tin. Then Pak Agung Bangau and the congregation started to pray for about half an hour. A miracle had happened. They checked the tins and discovered that the rice had turned into flour and the three empty tins with a drop of water were now filled with sugar.

They were very excited and related to the congregation the awesome sight of the miracle. Then Pak Agung encouraged them to pray for another sign from God Almighty. After prayers, they were delighted and thrilled to find that the bottle of water had turned into oil. FIRE ON MOUNT MURUD It was close to 11:00pm on 20th July 1985. Service had started at about 6pm earlier in the evening. The service was to last until the next morning. The peak of Sarawaks highest mountain (over 8,000 feet) was unpleasantly cold. No less than six hundred and twenty eyewitnesses saw another miracle of God a flame of fire. A handful of pebbles, a handful of sand and another handful of moss (supposed to be soil but no soil was available then); these were mixed in about a pint of cold water by Agung in a container made of a thin aluminum zinc sheet. This was placed at the very peak about 15 meters from the main crowd. There was much enthusiasm and expectation in the air. The waiting dragged on and seemed long. The chilling night was punctuated with some singing and praying. Pak Agung entreated the people to cast off doubt and fear. Pak Agung exhorted the people to have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Suddenly a man spoke from the crowd, breaking the long silence of the crowd. ...if this is really from the Lord, shall we pray again all together and with our hats, caps and other head-gears off All heads bowed in prayer. Immediately after the concluding Amen, Pak Agung requested for that brother who spoke earlier to come forward to him. There was a sudden hush. After a moment of hesitation, the man went forward. Pak Agung invited that man to join him at the peak where the mixture was. There Pak Agung struck a match to demonstrate that it was impossible to light up the mixture. The match light went off upon contact with the mixture. Pak Agung commented, There is just no way that a match stick can light up pebbles, sand and soil mixed in cold water. Please move back a step or two. Lets pray lest any of us have sin and doubt before God. Please seek His mercy The two prayed. After they had prayed, Agung held his uniformbelt and the box of matches in his left hand and struck a match-stick. Even before the match got in contact with it, the mixture burst into such a huge flame without any fuel. There was a roar from the crowd, a victorious cry. Actually there was a mixed reaction, some sang at the top of their voices praising God, some wept loudly for joy and holy fear and others prayed at the top of their voices. The louder

the people sang, the fiercer the flame grew, sending tongues of fire into the dark cold night. After about twenty minutes, Pak Agung put off the fire. Early dawn of the following morning, a few individuals enthusiastsically went to examine the mixture. There were no sign of ashes but instead there were seed-like remains, some burnt but most looked fresh. The shape and size was similar to that of ladies-finger fruit seeds. The thin aluminum sheet showed no sign of being scorched by fire, the surrounding bushes remained intact and not a leaf was withered. This reminded us of the burning bush in Exodus 3:2-3; the bush was burnt but was not consumed by the Holy fire of God. BALL OF FIRE I On the morning of 9th April 1985 at Buduk Nur, Pak Agung asked the pastor to inform all the women-folk to assemble outside the church building in full uniform, before 7.00pm that very evening. Assembled there at that time, were almost all of the Budur Nur village people and some folks from the Long Langai village. It was stressed that all the womenfolk, forty in number, ought to be present and on time, for God would give a sign at 7.00pm that evening. Some of the women folk responded with much excitement while others were lukewarm in response.

Precisely at seven oclock, the sign appeared over the horizon of the eastern mountain. It was a ball of fire and it became very bright. The rays brightened against the backdrop of the clouds above the mountain top and reflected in ponds and glass-louvers way down the village. Twice or more it moved sideways, downwards behind the mountain tops and then upwards again. But it stayed stationary most of the time until it gradually dimmed and diminished from view at 9.30pm. The sign was a confirmation that the womens uniform was the Lords desire. God wanted to specially bless the women. However not all of the women were on time as instructed. The disobedience, negligence or careless attitude by some deprived the whole group from receiving Gods special blessing that night. God would however manifest Himself further through one of the women who had been obedient and on time. One of the women leaders received this revelation from God through a vision that same night. BALL OF FIRE II5 On 9th May 1985 at Buduk Nui, over three hundred people from all the villages in Ba Kelalan were present. Throughout that week, a course on the Christian Family was conducted by three women from Lawas Mission for the women-folk of Ba Kelalan. By Gods perfect plan, three

Christian brothers on an outreach ministry were at Buduk Bui on that particular day. In the early afternoon Pak Agung Bangau prophesied that a sign was to occur that very evening at Buduk Bui. People from all the surrounding churches started pouring in. At 7:30pm, the sign appeared on the eastern sky. Just slightly more than a kilometer away was a ball of fire twice the size of a softball. It appeared for more than two hours and then it disappeared. It then reappeared an hour later and remained for more than an hour. As the people watched, a gentle breeze swept over them despite the quiet stillness of the night. This was followed by a single thunderous roar. It swept across the sky from North to the South. Many took for granted that it was an ordinary thunder. Others however, heard it as an echo of a very indistinct murmur of words. A woman from the crowd suddenly had an understanding about the manifestation of God. Through her, the Spirit of God revealed that the gradual diminishing glow of fire which became so faint and yet did not die off spoke of the spiritual condition of those present. The manifestation of the glow revealed that many were faint in their love, obedience, faith and in service for the Lord. God sought to restore such spiritual condition and they were to respond accordingly.

MT. BELINGI, BA KELALAN PRAYER CAMP On 25th May 1985, about three hundred and sixty people were present at Mt. Belingi, Ba Kelalan. This was the first of the three spiritual camps; the second was in Mt. Murud and the third in Buduk Unad. (Please take note that these were not mans plans but each of them was an independent prompting and leading of the Holy Spirit.) Almost all of the three hundred and sixty at the camp were locals of Ba Kelalan except for twenty others who came from Lawas. Throughout the night fellowship, there were a lot of singing, prayer sessions, messages and open testimonies. Many people made decisions to rededicate their lives to the Lord, others repented, but most of them made resolutions to straighten their family problems. SPECTACULAR APPEARANCES Two amazing events happened at this prayer camp. More than twenty people testified to seeing a figure dressed in white. The figure was standing at the very peak of Mt. Belingi before anyone could reach the peak. This figure was seen from the lower peak which was about a kilometer away. A group of those witnesses saw the figure walking about with hands stretched out as if either praying or singing.

Upon reaching the peak half an hour later, they were surprised that the area was covered with thick bushes. The spot they saw the figure was a barren ground. The second event was the singing of a beautiful worship chorus by a choir of angels just before the evening fellowship. Many who heard it thought it was a cassette tape. They however grew curious and investigated the phenomenon. The three or four people who brought small cassette players had only empty cassette tapes with them. They had no doubt whatsoever that an angelic choir was with them that evening. BALL OF FIRE AND A STAR On 15th July 1985 there was an open air gathering organized at Buduk Nur. By 6:30 that evening about a thousand people had taken their places on the soccer field, facing eastward. The whole congregation of about three hundred in number occupied the centre position. They looked more like an army arrayed for battle in their beautiful white and yellow uniforms. The majority of the people took position on both sides the men to the right and women to the left. The crowd comprised people who came from outside Ba Kelalan for the Mt. Murud spiritual expedition.

It was time for Pak Agung to pray for the signs to appear. Prayers and singing in the spirit were repeatedly offered to God. Sensing heaviness and doubts, he exhorted the multitudes on the need for believing faith. Then all heads were bowed; they prayed in unison. Halfway through the prayer, a few people shouted out in a chorus that the sign appeared. The whole multitude suddenly became alive. The people watched intensely. Like the one at Buduk Bui, a ball of fire hovered over the mountain horizon to the east for about three quarters of an hour. Then Pak Agung and his chosen few sang a chorus in the Spirit for the sign to disappear. The fire then disappeared. Then Pak Agung explained that they needed another prayer for the next sign to appear a star. As they started praying, a burst of bright rays of light suddenly appeared almost at the same spot. It was a star! Surely God is supreme and in control of the heavens. Ive not remembered ever seeing the sky stretched so clear and blue at night without a single star lighted up save for that night. The star sign was literally the sole star seen. It lasted for about twenty minutes. Later in the night the usual stars slowly showed up until the heavens was lighted up with them. Praise God!6

These were the signs promised two weeks earlier to Pak Agung while on the three day prayer and fasting time at Buduk Abui, Lawas. These were the signs to prove that the uniforms tailored for the whole Buduk Nur congregation was Gods plan. A FLAME OF FIRE AND TWO STARS On 25th September 1985 at Buduk Unad in Buduk Bui, there was the third prayer camp, attended by three hundred and seventy nine people. This camp was up on a high hill about two and a half hours walk from the village led by one Selutan Dawat of Buduk Bui. Those present were mostly from Ba Kelalan, twenty people from Bario Daerah and seven from Medamit, three or four individuals from Lawas. They were not quite through with their opening prayer that evening when suddenly a ball of fire flared up over the mountain top to the eastern horizon. It was a glowing flame emitting bright light. For a burning fire of about a foot and a half high to be seen from a distance of more than a kilometer away, it must have been quite a sizeable one. As they were watching intensely, a second bright light the size of a soccer ball shone like a star. This light flared up about five meters to the left of the fire and on the same level.

There was such respect, holy fear and reverence. Then a third appeared very close to the second, just inches away. This third star-sign flickered all through very brightly. After a little while, the third one disappeared, followed by the second shortly afterwards. But the fire remained. Then the second reappeared, followed by the third which flickered even brighter than the other two signs. Whoever else saw them agreed with eyewitnesses that it was an awe-inspiring sight indeed. Together they illuminated the surrounding darkness in spectacular contrast to the pitch darkness. THE MANTLE OF AGUNG The late Pak Agung Bangau went home to be with the Lord in 1992. It was a sad loss to his family and the Christian community in Sarawak but a greater loss to the Body of Christ. Like Enoch, he walked with God and sought Him with all his heart. Unlike Elijah who passed the mantle upon Elisha, his successor, Pak Agung did not raise any Elisha or Timothy in his ministry. No one succeeded his mantle or his ministry. The Lord has rewarded Pak Agung who lived a life that was pleasing to His master. What a joy to receive a commendation from the Master, Well done, good and faithful servant. Pak Agungs life and ministry has been a signpost of Gods

supernatural signs and wonders. Like Gideon (in Judges Chapter 6), we ask the same question: Where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about? May all who follow us find us faithful May the fire of our devotion and love for Jesus light the way May the footprints that we leave lead them to seek after Him And the lives we live inspire them to obey Him!

The Lun Bawang, who are found predominantly in the Fifth Division of Sarawak, were once a fierce head-hunting tribal group in the days of Rajah Brooke and who were prone to such social evils as excessive drinking and frequent quarrels. But with the coming of Christianity to their community 50 years ago their lifestyle changed. Prized heads inherited from their ancestors were cast away, together with social evils.

Dr. DGS Dhinakaran Man Sent of God

Dr. DGS Dhinakaran was a prophet and a chosen vessel of God. Just as he was about to end his life out of frustration, God reached out to Dhinakaran. Since then, for over thirty years, he was an ambassador for Christ. He served as an official of the State Bank of India for twenty-eight years, finally occupying a senior supervisory position. One distinct feature of his ministry which had endeared him to millions all over the world is the compassion of Christ that he communicated to them. The compassion of God

permeated all his messages, intercessory prayers, books and individual counseling. It is no wonder therefore that as many as 300,000 people flocked to hear him at some open air evening crusade meetings. Many who were seeking for physical health and peace of mind received such blessings in his meetings. Countless significant miracles had been performed by God through His choice servant. Similar blessings were also received by the readers of his books and his monthly magazine, Jesus Calls. Conversion DGS Dhinakaran was born to a very poor family and his father was a teacher. In his youth, Dhinakaran studied for a Bachelor of Science degree. He sat for the examination twice and he failed both times. After trying in vain to secure a job to help his family, Dhinakaran became discouraged, disheartened and disappointed with himself. His mother suffered from epilepsy and would frequently bite her tongue and bleed. Her condition was an added burden and depression gripped him as he was burdened with frustration and bitterness. Eventually, he came to a point where he decided to commit suicide. So with tears running down his eyes, he headed for the railway track, planning to throw himself onto the tracks when the next train came. On his way to the railway tracks,

he met his uncle who was a Christian. Thank God for divine appointments! His uncle told Dhinakaran about the good news of Jesus Christ. That day he accepted the Lord and returned home. When he reached his house, he locked himself in a room and wept and repented for four hours. His old life flashed before him and he confessed all the sins he had committed. Then the peace of God settled in his heart. In 1955, when Dhinakaran was twenty years old, he developed a tremendous hunger and desire for God. He desired to preach the Gospel. On 11th February 1955, he was born again and his ministry began. He started to preach in street corners. He shared about Jesus with everyone he met. For years, he was found witnessing in the streets. He sat for His Bachelor of Science degree examination again and passed with good credits. He secured a job in a bank as a bank officer. God prospered him and he excelled and was promoted to a high ranking position before he resigned to go full-time. POWER OF GOD For seven years he preached the gospel but there was no power of God evident. When he had heard about the

anointing and baptism of the Holy Spirit, he desired for them and cried out to God. There were two scriptures that ministered to him: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38) Then he said, Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house, I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD. (Numbers 12:6-8a) He based his prayers on these two scriptures, Acts 10:38 and Numbers 12:6-8. He faithfully read the account of the anointing of Jesus who went about doing good, setting the oppressed free with signs and wonders. Moses encounter with God face to face inspired and motivated Dhinakaran to seek God for a similar encounter and experience.

For seven years, he prayed and cried for the reality of the Word of God in his life. He was very desirous to meet Jesus face to face. At every available opportunity, he would pray to see the Lord. VISITATION OF THE LORD On 10th October 1962, during a family prayer, Brother Dhinakaran had a heavenly vision and the Lord met the cry of his spirit. Despite of his weariness when he returned home from work, he knelt down with his family to pray. That was his lifestyle of discipline and commitment. His mother had passed away and his father and his whole family would come together and kneel for family prayer every night. The Lord Jesus appeared and spoke to Dhinakaran many things about his life and future ministry. Jesus baptized him with the Holy Spirit and an unusual anointing of Gods love and compassion was imparted to him. He also commissioned him to take His message of love and compassion to the broken hearted people throughout the world. The Lord spoke: My son, because you have sought Me with all your heart, I have come to bless you with power and with the anointing. You shall carry My healing to the world to those who are sick. Jesus Calls ministry was birthed as a result of the Lords visitation.

From that day onwards, miracles after miracles accompanied his ministry and Dhinakaran began to operate in all the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. CALL TO THE MINISTRY Brother Dhinakaran once related his call by the Lord Jesus into full-time ministry. One day, the Lord took him in the Spirit to heaven. The Lord asked him to quit his secular job and serve the Lord full-time. In this experience, Dhinakaran saw Jesus presiding over the council of heaven comprising the Old Testament prophets and New Testament Apostles. When the council agreed that Dhinakaran should quit his job, Jesus came to him and asked him to go full time. Brother Dhinakaran protested because many servants of God in India were poor. He did not want to be one of them. Jesus explained that if He had called these so-called servants into the ministry, He would surely provide for them. These people were suffering lack because they went into the ministry on their own accord. Jesus told Dhinakaran that as He had called him, He would meet all his needs. With that assurance, Dhinakaran signed a contract with Jesus and went into full time ministry.

MAN OF SORROWS Although God used Dhinakaran mightily, he was probably one of the few men who suffered so much in the ministry. He was a man of sorrows. He suffered because of jealousy. He had been accused, slandered and ridiculed but he never lifted a finger or said a word against any of his accusers. He blessed them according to the word of God bless those who persecute you. When he established the Karunya Institute of Technology, accusations and criticisms were hurled at him. He received a lot of prophecies which stated that the setting up of the institute would signal the end of his ministry. Many did not know or understand the background of Gods call to build a Christian college. Dhinakaran at first refused and even postponed the idea for two years. When Jesus came to his room to tell him about the university, Dhinakaran ran and hid himself under his bed!! In Dhinakarans mind, he did not want the financial burden. He was called to be a preacher not educationist. But God could not find a better man. The youth in India were perishing and God wanted them to be trained in a college where they could be a testimony and light to their nation.

ANOTHER VISITATION One morning in a hotel in Jerusalem, as he was praying, the heavens opened and revealed the throne of God. A thunderous voice spoke, Son, build me that university! Dhinakaran knew it was God the Father Himself speaking. There were to be no negotiations or questions. He finally took the ultimatum with fear and trembling. Dhinakaran related that whenever God the Father speaks, it is the last and final authority! DIVINE HEALING Dhinakaran also suffered because of sickness. When he was eighteen months old, he suffered from a weakness in his knee. He had been bedridden many times and he almost died when both his lungs collapsed. Later he had kidney failure which almost took his life too. He also recovered from a heart attack. Whenever he was admitted to the hospital, many accused him of all kinds of sins and even claimed that that his condition was a result of Gods judgment upon him! The Lord however vindicated him and healed him miraculously each time.

One of the most painful wounds was the loss of his beloved and only daughter, Angel in a car accident. Although he went through the most tragic of circumstances, the love and compassion of God kept flowing in Dhinakarans life. This remarkable man was like a crushed rose. Someone once said, to have the fragrance of the rose, you will have to crush it first. And each time, Brother Dhinakaran went through the valley of tears, Jesus would faithfully come and comfort him and heal him. AMAZING TESTIMONIES a) Freed from Alcohol: I underwent heart surgery in the year 1987. Notwithstanding this, I continued drinking alcohol. Since I was an addict to alcohol, I did not want to participate in this meeting. But due to the compulsion of my wife I came here. At the meeting, Brother Dhinakaran said, There is a man, his liver is eaten because of drinking. Even now he is not in his real mood. Gods power is coming upon you. You are standing straight before me. God has given you a new liver. Dont go and drink again. Your name is Benjamin. Dont drink again. At that moment, a bright light flashed on me and a kind of fear gripped me. I was sweating profusely. I shall never touch liquor again. - Benjamin

Even though he was under the influence of a strong drink, Benjamin paid heed to the Lords message. He has realized his short-comings, and has with tear-filled eyes proclaimed that he will not touch liquor again. This spectacle melted the hearts of all the beholders. b) Miraculous Healing: I had suffered for 7 years from a disease of the lungs. Despite taking so much of medication I was not healed. I was languishing in sorrow with the disease spreading all over my body. While brother Dhinakaran prayed today, I beheld a dazzling light descending upon me. Brother Dhinakaran said, Who is this Kamalamma? You are crying. You said, From head to foot I am sick. Nobody can help me. God heals you tonight. Accept your healing. Christs power is falling upon you. Immediately a divine healing came upon me. I received total healing. - Kamalamma c) In Starvation: During the last three years I have been laboring in the midst of hunger and starvation. I was in starvation even today but I proceeded to this meeting. I was wondering with an aching longing, Will the Lord, help me? Will the Lord call me by name and bless me? During the time of intercession, Brother Dhinakaran called me by name. He said, Gabriel, you say Lord, I am not able to earn. My family is starving. Lord help me. Jesus is blessing you now. Then I saw in a vision, the

Lord Jesus placing a crown upon my head. - Gabriel d) Miraculous Healing: My wife and I are both doctors. I was suffering from high blood pressure and severe Bronchial Asthma, frequently vomiting blood. I was unable to do anything. One day, as I lay sleepless on my bed, Jesus appeared before me, clad in white and with a majestic look. His face was so bright that I couldnt see it. Jesus came and sat beside me. At once I reclined, laying my head on his lap; for I could not stand. My eyes were choked with tears. I begged Him most humbly: Lord, do touch and heal me! But His reply was surprising, for He didnt say a word about healing me. He said, My son! In Madras, there is one Dhinakaran. Go to him. He is My son. He will pray for you and you will be healed. I had never seen Dhinakaran before but the Lord showed Dhinakaran standing by His side and also a close up of him. At that time I could not stand or walk. I was so weak and nervous! Yet, after inquiring about DGS Dhinakaran from so many, with their help in July 1992 I boarded the train with my wife, reached Madras and came to his house to meet him in person. When I saw his face, I was shocked on observing how it resembled exactly the one shown to me by Jesus. Great was my joy and greater

faith swelled in my heart. I stood with tear-soaked eyes. I couldnt share anything. Dhinakaran prayed with great compassion for us, total strangers to him and also spoke some words of prophecy. We boarded the train and returned home so happily. God performed a miracle which surprised us. With no medicine whatever, he healed me of high blood pressure and severe Bronchial Asthma. I no longer vomit blood. I am a renowned physician myself. But today I entirely believe in divine healing. Jesus alone is the one true God! - Dr. Hemant Kumar, Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh, India) e) Miraculous Growth of Shortened Leg: The legs of a six year old girl who lived next door were in different lengths; one being shorter than the other. She had to limp as she walked. On the 22nd February 1991 as I was on my way to attend Jesus Calls meeting, I went to the mother of the little girl, who is my neighbor. I said to her, Jesus Calls meetings are now being held in Chembur. There the Lord Jesus heals even those who are unable to walk; let me take your little daughter with me to the meeting. Jesus will work a miracle for her also. So saying, I took her to the meeting.

During the time of intercession, Brother Dhinakaran declared, Jesus makes shortened legs to grow. He heals those with impediments! Immediately the shorter leg of the girl who had accompanied me grew as long as the other longer leg. Now she walks well. MANIFOLD MINISTRIES The Lord Jesus anointed Brother Dhinakaran with His love and compassion in a divine encounter which lasted three hours. The anointing he received enabled him to work tirelessly and unceasingly in many ways. SUCCESSOR On the 20th of November 1980, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, his son had a divine visitation and was called to the ministry by the Lord. Since that day he worked diligently with his father. He now has taken over the mantle of His father and he runs all the manifold ministries, his father had passed over to him. Dr. DGS Dhinakaran left for his eternal home on glory early last year and many in India mourned the loss of an amazing man of God. Here is an example of a man of God who

experienced open heaven in his life and ministry. May we emulate and imitate his walk with God, his extraordinary prayer life and his great heart of compassion for suffering humanity.

The decade of 1986-1996 saw revival sweeping Latin America. The number of Latin American Protestants increased from 18.6 million to 59.4 million. It was reported that 400 people were converted to Christianity in Latin America every hour. Christians in Latin America had very limited resources but they humbled themselves and sought Gods face!

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN OPEN HEAVEN 1) Prayer and Spiritual Warfare. There was a season of time when Latin American churches were praying as never before. All-night prayers were common in homes, churches and public places. These were heartfelt prayers of dedication and fervency attended by thousands. In 1995, in Cali, Columbia as many as 40,000 Christians packed a stadium for an all-night prayer vigil. Spiritual warfare against the enemy was the reason for the prayer rally after a well-known pastor was assassinated on the front steps of a local church by local drug lords. We can learn from our brethren that persecution will not kill the church. It will instead awaken the church towards humbling themselves to seek God like never before. I had a prophetic dream many years ago. In this vivid dream, I saw a huge congregation comprising of men only raising their hands in prayer and speaking in loud and powerful tongues like the sound of many waters. I strongly believe that prayer meetings are not for women folks only. As men begin to war in the Spirit, we will see revival hitting our shores again!

Surabaya Church, Indonesia There is a church in Surabaya, Indonesia called Bethany Manyar that has a congregation of 15,000. Every Tuesday, there are 3 prayer meetings at 10 am, 7 pm and 10 pm. I had the opportunity to speak in those prayer meetings and was pleasantly surprised by the thousands who attended those prayer meetings. God is preparing the church in Indonesia for a great revival. Churches are beginning to catch the fire of prayers! Blessed Church, Kuching. Recently, we had the honor to speak in a vibrant church in Kuching, Malaysia. We attended the prayer meeting on Saturday at 7pm. About a thousand people attended the prayer meeting with great enthusiasm. By 6.30pm, the main sanctuary was already filled and so late comers were ushered to the overflow room. The atmosphere was charged with expectation and filled with the Presence of God. The worship was lively and anointed. Remarkably, at every Saturday prayer meeting, non-believers get born again. I will not be surprised if revival breaks out in this holy ground.

2) Praise and Worship Before and after the revival hit Latin America, there was a great emphasis on praise and worship. God began to anoint songwriters and composers of music. Thousands of people came together for an evening of praise and worship in stadiums and football fields. Worship is seeking Gods face and not Gods hand. Worship causes us to abandon and surrender ourselves to God. Praise and worship help us to focus on God and turn away from self. Worshipping God makes every child of God realize that we are all sinners saved by grace. Praise and worship will be one of the significant signposts that precede revival. We must first ascend to Gods throne in worship and descend with Gods glory. Worship warriors are being raised up in many nations. As we ascend in worship, we will descend in great authority and anointing for warfare. New songs of the Holy Spirit will be sung prophetically and spontaneously. Gods glory will begin to permeate the congregation and the place of gathering. We will experience holy ground as angels ascend and descend from heaven. Miracles, signs and wonders

will start to manifest. Human beings will not be able to control those meetings. We will all stand in awe of Him. Healings, deliverances and creative miracles will be so common. Sinners will rush to the altar of Gods mercy without any preacher giving an altar call. Fire and glory will be seen far and wide from the building where people gather to worship God. May this come true soon Lord. And Lord, please let it happen in Malaysia! 3) Repentance Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Repentance is a word that conjures differing responses and sinners hate to hear that word spoken. Actually repentance is positive and powerful. It simply means change of heart, mind and direction. Unless our hearts and minds are directed towards God, we will not have revival and times of refreshing. Many Christians repent enough to be forgiven but not quite enough to experience breakthrough and revival.

Repentance is much more than tears or remorse over sins. Repentance means a conscious pursuit of God and holiness with renewed mind and surrendered heart. God is preparing a remnant of His people who will pursue Him till His Kingdom invades earth. We will see more of that in this book when we explore and visit the 1950s revival in Argentina. Revival tarries because of lack of repentance and lack of appetite for God. We have filled our spiritual stomachs with so much junk from the world that we have lost our hunger for God and revival! We seek for the best food in town or the latest football match or the latest fashion but do we seek Gods face? It is a call of God now to seek His face like never before. The word - seek in 2 Chronicles 7:14 means to search to pursue and to try to discover His face. Since God is seeking for worshippers (John 4:24) and persistently looking for His chosen people, we shall surely and successfully find Him. That is when God invades our territory and heaven comes down. In many churches today, not just in Malaysia but also in the nations we have been to there seems to be a void of excitement and hunger for God and His Presence. Great numbers of churches are growing, but the worship and

praise are dry and lifeless. Sermons are not filled with the power and demonstration of the Spirit. There is hardly anybody speaking in tongues or moving in the Gifts of the Spirit. The handwriting is already on the wall, Lukewarm church that has lost its first love for Jesus. Unless we repent from where we have fallen, God may spew us out of His mouth. Preachers, it is time to practice and preach repentance. It must start from the pulpit and continue to the pew. May we be like John the Baptist and begin to declare, Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand if we want a genuine revival! 4) Unity, Unity, Unity Psalms 133:

We returned from a Prophetic conference in Taiping (a city in Malaysia) in June 2009 with Prophet Thomas Cherian from India. It was a very impactful conference, not just in terms of attendance or the lives touched and ministered but more of the unity of churches and pastors displayed at the conference. On the last night of the meeting, the Glory Cloud descended on the attendees in an amazing and awesome way. In short, we experienced open heaven during the 3 days prophetic conference. The unity of churches in Taiping must be applauded as churches and pastors refused to build their little kingdoms but to build Gods Kingdom. We salute men of God who are secure in Christ like Pastor Bernard Teh, Pastor Simon Chandran, Pastor Dr Dhoss and other pastors who anchored

this momentous conference that shifted the spiritual atmosphere in Taiping and the state of Perak. There are far too many insecure pastors and leaders in the Body of Christ who are extremely territorial. They cannot seem to see the greater Body of Christ. With a myopic perspective and lacking a big heart, these pastors are only interested with what will benefit their individual ministry and church. If another church in a city has a special speaker or a conference, other pastors in the city will never attend. All the brochures of the meetings that are held in another church in the same city end up in the waste paper basket or they will be safely stored away until the conference is over. Some pastors are so insecure and competitive that they will crucify the next pastor and the next church that is planted in their vicinity. Please have a big heart. As long as there is still one more soul to be saved, there is room for another church to be planted. A particular case comes to my mind. This is a real example that I experienced. I used to minister in a certain church in a particular nation. About 3 times a year, I was invited to preach in this church. The pastor was using me to build his church no problem with that. Insecurity and jealousy began to surface in the local pastor whenever there was a larger crowd when the guest speaker preached.

One season, a group of leaders and worship leaders and people left the church. Being curious, I wanted to find out the root cause of the exodus. My good friend was one of the church leaders. He left the church suddenly because he was unhappy with the pastor. Hoping to bring reconciliation between him and the pastor, I was caught in the cross fire. One day, this pastor heard a rumor that I was going to start a new church with this leader who had left and others in the same city. Immediately without checking with me, he ordered his secretary to email me and cancel all my preaching engagements at his church. Surprised and puzzled, I had to pursue him for a while to reach him and only then did I find out about the rumor of me starting a church. I assured the pastor that it was not true. He neither apologized nor repented. For the record - the rumor was not true. It is already a few years now and I still have not started the church like the rumors had circulated. God has called me to an itinerant ministry. God bless that pastor. I believe God is scouting for a city and a nation where He can find the Body of Christ coming in unity of faith and purpose. Senior pastors, may we appeal to you in Jesus love that no one single church, no matter how great or strong can take the city and the nation for Christ. God intended

for churches and Body of Christ to come together. May we help to answer Jesus prayer that we may be united as one just as Jesus and God the Father are one. Reinhard Bonnke Crusade In November 1999 Reinhard Bonnke had an unprecedented crowd of 6 million gathered in Lagos, Nigeria for a crusade. It was truly Open Heaven. After nine years of being banned from entering Nigeria to do crusades or meetings, it was a divine breakthrough for Reinhard to be back in Nigeria. Thanks to the newly elected President of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo (A born-again Christian) after years of military dictatorship. Nigeria is a nation of more than 200 million in population. Not only the most populated country in Africa but Nigeria is also one of the most internally divided. There are 2000 dialects, prolonged tensions between the tribal groups and the constant conflict between Christians and Muslims. Much blood has been shed through civil wars in Nigeria. With that backdrop and the socio-political landscape of Nigeria, the Body of Christ needed to be united to break the spirit of strife and hatred, causing a great open heaven. I believe unity is one of the most powerful keys to open heavens treasures of miracles, signs and wonders and

deliverance for a nation. Needless to say, all these were evidently manifested in the Reinhard Bonnke crusade. Outstanding Unity Heaven was opened and great salvation, deliverance, healings, miracles, signs and wonders took place largely because of the unity of the churches and Christian leaders in Nigeria. With his proven love and fruits in Africa, Bonnke has been able to unite the churches and the body of Christ in Nigeria. There is an association called United Gospel Churches Association of Nigeria that represents 500 denominations! Awesome that is the word! The massive crowd of the crusade in Lagos included 200,000 prayer counselors and more than 80,000 pastors and leaders who attended ministry training at Lagos National Stadium during Bonnkes visit to Nigeria. It is so refreshing that at least one nation has achieved a certain level of unity among Christians. May we help to answer Jesus prayer of unity for the Body of believers of Jesus Christ!

Argentina Revival
We had just returned from Kuching, Malaysia (August 10, 2009). I was invited to speak in Emmanuel Baptist Church led by Pastor David Kwek and Ps David Cheng. I was told that Edward Miller, the man of God whom God used in the Argentina revival had ministered in their church some 20 years ago. The church and Kuching city were blessed with a unique move of God through the ministry of Edward Miller. Edward Miller would just wait for the move of the Spirit before he ministered. Edward was not concerned and

bothered if individuals started to leave the meeting while he just sat. He was also least concerned about the number of attendees but greatly and extremely sensitive to the slightest wind of the Spirit. Well, we cannot argue with fruits Edward had tremendous fruits. The churches in Kuching were abundantly impacted by his ministry. EDWARD MILLER This is a missionary from America who was led to go to Argentina. According to him, Edward had come to the end of the road. That was January 1949. Together with another missionary Robert Thomas, they set up a gospel tent in Lavalle, a village nestled in the foothills of the great Andes Mountains. For two weeks they labored in distributing tracts, visiting every home in the community, prayed and prepared sermons, yet night after night, no one came. The wasted expenses and labor resulted in extreme disappointment and defeat. Unwilling to give excuses for his failure and defeat, he retreated to seeking God until he found some answers. Times without number the question of Elisha echoed in my soul, where is the Lord God of Elijah? Like a normal working person, God put upon Edwards heart to spend eight hours daily with Him in prayer and His

Word. Sometimes he spent more than eight hours seeking Gods face. He was desperate to find the key for revival and the move of God in Argentina. The book of Acts must be repeated. Is it possible for an ordinary man without other qualifications to touch heaven and change Argentina with tangible fruits and breakthroughs? The conflicts, doubts, questions and fears punctuated the long hours of seeking God alone. It was a lonely road and the only road to travel. Even with days of fasting, God still did not show up. Waiting, weeping, searching the Word, walking, kneeling, standing or prostrating on the floor. Heaven was silent. Weeks turned to two months. There was still no sign of the cloud of the size of the mans hand like when Elijah travailed for rain. A thought came to him to set a date for God to move. I suppose God cannot be bribed, threatened or forced to answer our whims and fancies. Revival is Gods Sovereignty and mans responsibility. We do not know when the wind will blow, but we need to set up the sail BEFORE the wind blows, lest we miss the wind and the boat! A Visitation Then suddenly one day like any other day, without any warning, God spoke audibly to Edward. Gods glory and

Presence filled the little attic room where he spent most of his time. Go call the people to prayer. I will pour out My Spirit upon them. Tell them to come prepared to stay from eight until midnight. If they are not prepared to stay the entire four hours they must not come at all An unusual order from Heaven! Can this be from God? Gods ways are always higher than our ways. God did not require us to understand but He certainly requires us to OBEY. The invitation was made to the little church the following Sunday. There were many factors and obstacles hindering the people from responding to such a call. Winter, unheated building, no transport after midnight and other responsibilities in the home made it almost impossible for anyone to turn up. However 3 came the first night, a timid servant girl, a backslidden man and his wife. For four hours, Edward led in prayer and praise but no one joined him. When the four hours had passed, he asked if anyone had received anything from God. No one had anything except the wife who admitted a strange desire to arise, walk to the table in the centre of the room and hit it.

What a strange and foolish thing. Obviously she could not be persuaded to try it. The prayer ended that night. The second night, the same group came for the prayer meet. It was an exact duplicate of the night before. The meeting ended with the same woman who had the strange desire as the night before. The third night, after the 4-hour silence from the 3 faithful participants, the wife admitted with blushing that she did have that peculiar feeling but could not be persuaded to do so. Thursday night was no different until at eleven pm, Edward asked the woman if she still felt like hitting the table. With great reluctance and embarrassment, she confessed the similar prompting. Edward decided to sing a song and did a Jericho march around the table. Everyone took the courage to hit the table. Finally as the wife of the backslidden man hit the table, suddenly and instantly, a mighty rushing wind came into the room. The timid servant girl started speaking in unknown tongues with great ecstasy and hands lifted in the air, worshipping the Lord. The backslidden man who resisted the call of God fell under the table and spoke in tongues and worshipped God. Lastly his wife too was filled with the Spirit and spoke in strange tongues.

Outpouring Unknown to Edward, the Holy Spirit was being poured not only upon this little group but the whole of Argentina in a brand new way. God transformed this pagan country into a Christian nation. A simple and obedient act opened the door to revival. Those who sow in tears and prayers shall reap with joy. Ask Edward and the small group if this was not so. In June 1949, revival broke out in Argentina. Can this happen again? Will it happen in Asia? In Malaysia? I believe with all my heart that it can happen again in greater glory and magnitude! Amen. River of God Started to Flow As news of the revival went out, more and more people came for the prayer service. Inadequate transportation, bad weather and other excuses did not prevent people from coming to be filled with the Holy Spirit and receiving Gods supernatural touch. A 14 year old girl saw visions and received revelations of things to come. As she prophesied, she began to quote scriptures that she had never learned or read. Many were saved, filled with the Spirit and baptized in water. The little church exploded with exponential growth.

WANTED - ALTARS SOAKED WITH TEARS. One of the most needed ingredients for revival is the altar of God soaked with tears. When was the last time you saw a preacher weeping as he preached his sermon with passion and brokenness? Are we so caught up the age of Internet technology that we forget the ancient ways of God? No hope in the pulpit, no hope in the pew. Before a great move of God, God sometimes seeks willing and broken vessels that stand in the gap as repairers of the breach weeping Gods tears! In 1 Samuel 3:1-3, the nation of Israel was drowning in moral and spiritual decay under the spiritual leadership of Eli. The word of God and visions were rare. Elis eyes were so dim that he could not see. What was happening in the natural was actually a reflection of the spiritual condition of the nation. God laid a burden upon a barren woman called Hannah to change the course of the nation. Her desperate prayers were filled with tears and sorrow until she looked like a drunken woman. Hannahs tears and prayers birthed the Prophet Samuel whom God used to bring revival to the nation.

Jeremiah wept for rebellious and backslidden Israel so much that he compared his eyes to a fountain (Jeremiah 9:1). About 100 years ago, a young Welsh coal miner named Evan Roberts was overtaken by the thought that his countrymen were going to hell. In his own words, he was bent by Gods holy burden. With heaven sent passion and brokenness he prayed that God would shut hell for one year. His prayer of tears birthed a revival that produced more than 100,000 conversions to Christ. During the Welsh Revival, God awakened His people from self-centeredness and gave them supernatural compassion for the lost. But first, God sent a weeping preacher to break up the fallow ground. Elijahs altar was soaked with water and sacrifice before the fire from heaven fell. We need Hannah, Jeremiah, Evan Roberts and William Seymour to travail and wet our beautiful church carpets with tears. Who cares about carpets when thousands of souls are saved every night and people with incurable diseases are healed? I believe tears are a very precious commodity in heaven. CONTRITE HEARTS Isaiah 57:15 15 For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:

I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. The saints of old used to sing: Blest are the men of broken hearts Who mourn for sin with inward smart There is something about brokenness that God delights to use. Jesus broke the lads bread before He fed the 5000 men. (John 6:9-13). The alabaster box of expensive perfume was broken before the fragrance escaped and filled the house. Tears - priceless commodity on earth and in heaven. God places a great premium on tears. Our eyes are dry because our hearts are not broken. The Psalmist declared his great hunger and intensity for God like a deer pants for the water. (Psalm 42:1-3). Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet. Many of us are familiar with the tearless, passionless and fireless sermons from the pulpit. Is tearful, hot fiery preaching a lost art? May we have some Jeremiahs and Ezekiels who will stand in the gap for this perverse, crooked, wicked, immoral and corrupt generation!

O God, bless us with broken hearts. O God give us tears to cry for our nation and generation. May judgment first begin with us preachers! God is seeking broken and contrite hearts in which He wants the pleasure to dwell in, not just visit once in a while. Do you want to be that vessel of honor? God Answered from Heaven A young Polish student, attending a Bible Institute had been seeking God with tears and vehement cries for some time. He had been burdened for many months to pray for revival in Argentina. Many nights of sleep had escaped him. In the wee hours of one particular morning, God came down from Heaven to answer his prayers. An intense light appeared before him. A Heavenly Being drew near him. The teenage student found himself in the very presence of a Holy and Awesome God. With great fear, Alexander ran in terror to the Bible Institute for refuge. Out in the forest and the fields that surrounded the Bible Institute in City Bell, Alexander had continued to pray past

midnight and God came to visit him. City Bell was a small town near the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thinking of escaping the holy and awesome presence of this Being, Alexander ran inside the building but the Visitor entered with him. Suddenly, all the students felt the awesome holy presence of God! Everyone began to repent from their sins and asked for forgiveness. The next morning, the regular class was replaced with prayer meeting. Without any warning, the Heavenly Visitor came again. Alexander was taken in the spirit to journey over the face of the earth. He began to name city after city in Argentina and then moved from country to country as if he was reading from an atlas. There was no way that Alexander who barely had primary school education was able to name such a long list. The first week was filled with the mighty Presence of God. Meals and sleep were forgotten, nobody was hungry or sleepy. There were deep intercession and cries as the students came under an intense burden for Argentina. Students, teachers and missionaries were weeping uncontrollably. There was uninhibited brokenness on every one of them. Tears flowed like streams down the faces of these students. God wept through them in a supernatural way. The unforgettable dates were 5-11 June 1951.

The days passed by so quickly. As the Heavenly Visitors visits became less frequent, the waves of deep intercession lifted. One Friday morning, a powerful prophetic word was released that The Lion of the tribe of Judah had prevailed over the principality of Argentina. Strangely, a wind of change came. The great burden of intercession was taken off their shoulders. It was replaced by immense joy, praise and laughter instead of sorrow and weeping. A powerful word mentioned that Michael the Warrior Arch Angel had overcome the ruling prince of Argentina. Daniel 10 has a similar account as Daniel interceded for his nation. It took about 2 years before God led them to His plan of revival. It did not begin that morning when the Heavenly Visitor came to Alexander the Polish lad, but it was a step leading towards the mighty outpouring of the Spirit upon Argentina. May our altars once again soaked with the precious seeds of tears. Psalm 126:5-6 5 Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. 6 He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.

About a year ago, a Nigerian brother gave me a copy of a book written by a great man of God, Dr. David Oyedepo from Nigeria. I have been reading about the move of God and the massive churches in Nigeria after God laid these things upon my heart. As I read the book and saw the picture of Bishop Oyedepo, a strange desire welled up within me. It was a desire to meet him and invite him to Malaysia to minister in our annual International Conference. I realized that truly God will have to open the way to make this possible after learning that it is almost impossible to meet this uncommon man of God personally. This is because thousands from Nigeria and all over the world seek his prayers, counsel, wisdom and help a very long queue indeed! Bishop Dr. David Oyedepo He had an encounter with God in a vision that lasted 18 hours. It took 26 months of seeking, fasting, praying and meditating on the Word before David Oyedepo started his ministry. For more than 20 years, Dr Oyedepo has been part of the charismatic movement sweeping the African continent. His apostolic teaching has transformed millions of lives. Dr Oyedepo is the President of Living Faith Church worldwide with network of churches all over Nigeria and Africa.

He received a commission from God: The hour has come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil, through the preaching of the Word of Faith and I am sending you to undertake this task. God has used him to change the spiritual and physical landscape of Nigeria. A church building that seats 50,000 called Faith Tabernacle in Canaan Land, Ota, Lagos is reputed to be the largest church auditorium in the world. He is the Senior Pastor of 100,000 members. As a prolific author, he has authored more than 50 titles. As an educationist, his mission currently pioneers the establishment of educational institutions of all levels in Nigeria including the Covenant University, where he serves as Chancellor. God Made the Way I thought that applying for a Nigerian visa was just a formality. My first trip to the Nigerian embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia however proved otherwise. After meeting the tedious requirements for the visa application, I was confident that everything was settled. I soon discovered how mistaken I was! After 5 visits and numerous calls to the embassy, our visa was still not approved. Desperation set in as the clock ticked closer to my departure date. Our family took a risk by buying our tickets to Nigeria

before our visas were approved. The travel agent who is also our dear friend, Joseph Wong from Sabah joined us in the battle to procure the visas. My eagerness to minister in Nigeria was soon turning into despair and discouragement. Perhaps it was not the right time or God had closed the door. Plus there was the threat of the AH1N1 virus at that time and travel was not advisable. Humanly speaking, all factors indicated that we should postpone or cancel the trip. Having considered these obstacles, I was sure that they were all orchestrated by the devil to push us toward the last option of cancelling the trip! My son, Asher had a dream on Thursday morning that all our passports were stamped. Is this not surely a sign from God? After repeated calls to the embassy, I finally got a chance to speak to the visa consular and he said that he would let me know the outcome. After that call, Gods peace reigned in my heart. Suddenly, it did not matter anymore whether we were going to Nigeria or not, except for Gods will to be done in our lives. Very unexpectedly, I received a call from Joseph Wong, my travel agent asking me to go to the embassy by 2.30 pm to collect our visas. We got our visas at 4 pm and headed to the airport at 11 pm the same day. To God be the Glory!

Meeting the Man of God After a week of ministry, I was getting restless in my spirit as I was sure that God wanted me to meet Dr Oyedepo. Various ministers mentioned that it was rare to meet him without a formal appointment. I shared my desire to Pastor Sunday Ebere and he agreed to take us to Faith Tabernacle which is about 2 hours of free massage ride on some particularly bumpy roads! We were given the contact number of the man of Gods personal secretary. After many calls that went unanswered, with or without appointment, we were on our way to our promised land, in this case Canaan Land, Ota, a suburb of Lagos, Nigeria. As we entered into Canaan Land, there was a sign board that welcomed us: If you need a breakthrough, you have come to the right place As we entered this township of Canaan Land, we noticed that there were banks, petrol (gas) stations, restaurants, bookshops, schools, a university and a majestic auditorium that has a seating capacity of fifty thousand. It was a brand new world. Though we travelled the bumpy and dusty roads previously to get here we were now travelling on beautifully surfaced roads. The air seemed to be fresh with beautiful gardens and lawns unlike the other polluted Lagos suburbs we passed through.

It reminded me of my trip to Mexico many years ago. I was ministering in California and an opportunity arose for me to go to Mexico for a mission trip. As we left the border of California and entered into Mexico, the difference was like day and night. Beautiful roads and infrastructure, clean buildings and up to date motor vehicles in California were now replaced by noise, dirt, old looking vehicles, shanties and dusty roads. As we approached the administration block we could see the awesome auditorium from a distance. At the car park, we met two men and asked them to show us the office of the man of God. One man identified who himself as Pastor Frank (the personal assistant of Bishop Oyedepo) volunteered to take us to the waiting lounge. He briefed us that we might have to wait for as long as 12 hours with no guarantee of meeting the Bishop Oyedepo. Pastor Frank mentioned some Koreans who came and waited for 12 hours before they could meet Dr Oyedepo. Some never even got the chance to see him. I guess he was preparing us for the worst scenario. After about 15 minutes in the waiting room, Pastor Frank brought us to the office entrance and asked us to wait for Bishop Oyedepo as he would make his entrance shortly. At the reception area, there were various posters of Oyedepos ministry all over Africa and his encounter with various

presidents and giants of God like Kenneth E. Hagin, Kenneth Copeland, TL Osbourne and others. I noticed Asher was admiring the poster of the 3 private jets that belonged to the ministry. Wow, we were going to meet an uncommon man of God of such caliber and stature. As he walked into the office, I greeted him and told him that we came from Malaysia and requested him to come and bless Malaysia in 2010. He welcomed us to his beautiful private VIP guest room. He is such a humble and meek man who was quick to give God the glory for this mammoth achievement, international fame and success. He shared with us that this township was built without any loan from the bank. It was all paid by cash. By the grace of God, Dr Oyepedo has agreed to come to Malaysia to minister in a conference. We did receive our breakthrough! We visited the church auditorium and the university campus where Barrack Obama had visited sometime ago. While we were in the plane flying into Nigeria, I was praying for uncommon favor. On the morning of that encounter, I asked God to touch the heart of this man of God to meet us somehow. Being a Monday morning, most Senior Pastors would be resting. That morning he was not planning to come to the office. However, Dr Oyedepo told us that he

felt a prompting in his heart to do so. I was so touched when I heard that because God had answered my little prayer. Hallelujah. Amen! Who is Bishop David Oyedepo? The Third Wave A term borrowed from Peter Wagner who coined the First Wave as the Pentecostal Revival at the turn of the century: the Second Wave as the Charismatic Renewal that impacted the more liberal denominations. However, the Third Wave seemed to have impacted the more conservative evangelicals. Together with Peter Wagner, John Wimber became the leader and spokesperson for the Third Wave.

Founder of the Vineyard Churches in 1977, Wimber travelled extensively in the apostolic ministry of healings, signs and wonders. His meetings had unusual manifestations of the Gifts of the Spirit. Prophecy, Word of Knowledge and being Slain in the spirit together with shaking and drunkenness were common characteristics in his meetings. Ministers like Mike Bickle, Jack Deere and John White were the regular speakers in John Wimbers conferences which attracted thousands of conservative evangelical Christians. We had the privilege of attending one of those conferences by John Wimber in Australia in the early 1990s. The Toronto Blessing God spoke to a South African preacher Rodney HowardBrowne to go to America. Little did he realize that God was about to use him in an amazing way. In March 1993, Rodney was scheduled to speak at Carpenters Home Church in Lakeland, Florida for a one week meeting. However, God had other plans. That one week meeting turned out to be a 14-week revival outpouring meeting. Spiritual manifestations like falling, weeping and laughter occurred frequently. Many were saved and baptized in water and the Holy Spirit. After 6 weeks of meetings, some one hundred thousand had been impacted, including pastors and leaders from all over America.

After 14 weeks of revival, God spoke to Rodney that this revival in Lakeland needed to be spread throughout America. One pastor called Randy Clark was greatly transformed when he attended one of those meetings. Randy was seeking God for a breakthrough in his life and ministry. After attending Rodneys meetings in Lakeland, Florida, Clark went to Toronto to speak at the Airport Vineyard Christian Fellowship pastored by John Arnott. It was at this historical meeting on 20 January 1994 that the revival known as Toronto Blessing erupted. Those attending the meetings at Toronto experienced falling, shaking, laughing and divine healings. This revival attracted people from all over the world. Soon, the Christian and secular media began to publicize the revival. More than 200,000 people attended the first year of the revival. Needless to say, the city of Toronto was the top tourist attraction in 1994. The Toronto Blessing revival had a great impact in Great Britain. An estimated 7,000 churches were transformed and impacted by this revival, including Londons Holy Trinity Church Brompton. This revival not only impacted Great Britain but also the nations of the world. THE PENSACOLA REVIVAL On Fathers Day 18 June 1995, God used the Evangelist

Steve Hill to usher a revival in Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida. After preaching that morning, Steve gave an altar call for those who desired to be prayed for. Unusual manifestations began to occur. Many started to fall all over the auditorium including the Senior Pastor, John Kilpatrick. Pastor John lay on the floor for three and one-half hours! The spiritual manifestations of shaking, trembling, laughing and weeping were common from the first day of the revival. This revival has had a global influence and impact. At the pinnacle of the revival, it attracted visitors from all over the world who would wait in line for hours to get a seat at the evening revival service. CONCLUSION God Almighty had been very generous and gracious to America who had so many revivals and outpourings of His Spirit. America has had her turn. I believe it is time for Asia. Hopefully MALAYSIA or Indonesia! A holy jealousy occurred in my heart every time I read or heard about revival happening outside Asia. May God have mercy upon Asia especially Malaysia as we prepare ourselves to embrace the coming revival that will impact the Asian Region. Lord Jesus, please remember Malaysia. Amen and Amen.

Decade of Destiny
The next decade from 2011-2020 will be an awesome, frightening and amazing decade. The world will be looking for answers from Above as the human race is confronted with unprecedented plagues and new strains of viruses, earthquakes of greater magnitudes, famines and droughts, unusual floods, wars and rumours of wars, economic uncertainties, new life threatening diseases, absurd weather changes and the movement toward a one world government.

In Gods timetable it will be a MIDNIGHT hour that the body of Christ will go through. It shall be a Kairos appointed time and season for God to move in unprecedented ways that we have never seen before. Recently, I was in the lovely home of Paul & Mary Chin reading the book on Azusa Street revival in 1906 spearheaded by a humble and unassuming man called William Seymour. At the peak of Azusa Street revival, William Seymour prophesied that a GREATER REVIVAL THAN AZUSA WILL BREAK OUT IN ABOUT 100 years from now. Something clicked inside me as I read that. I put down the book and began to worship God. A strong Presence of God came into the room. I began to pray for Malaysia to receive this coming revival. I believe that in this coming revival even the largest stadiums and the biggest football fields of the world will not be able to accommodate the massive crowds that will make bee-lines to experience and witness what God will be doing in our midst. When the Glory Cloud begins to fall during prayer meetings or church services, it will last for many hours and even days, weeks and months. What a glorious day it will be. For the glory of the latter hours shall be greater than the former.

CHAPTER TWELVE Decade of Destiny
MIDNIGHT HOUR Exodus12:29-36 29 And it came to pass at midnight that the LORD struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.30 So Pharaoh rose in the night, he, all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

Then he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the LORD as you have said.32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also. And the Egyptians urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, We shall all be dead.34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders.35 Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing.36 And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they

granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

Then the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children.38 A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds --- a great deal of livestock.39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt; for it was not leavened, because they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.
Interestingly at midnight God sent judgment on Pharaoh and the Egyptians. All the firstborn of the Egyptians and their livestock were dead. It was at this great window of opportunity that God set the Israelites free after 430 years of bondage. Not only were they released, they also plundered the Egyptians of gold, silver and expensive clothing. It was back pay for labour and service for 430 years! At Midnight: 1. It was judgment on Pharaoh and Egyptians 2. Salvation and deliverance for Gods people 3. It was a transfer of wealth from the Egyptians to Gods chosen people

We believe God will do it again with different styles and different strokes! RUTH SEALED HER DESTINY. There are four seasons in the book of Ruth. Sometimes in life, we also go through these four seasons: 1. 2. 3. 4. Famine Harvest Transition Great destiny
Famine could also mean lack of favor, opportunities, open doors, breakthroughs, divine appointments and spiritual or physical blessings. During famine or economic recession, be careful not to make wrong moves like Elimelech who migrated to Moab. His original native place is called Bethlehem the house of bread. Ironically there was no bread in Bethlehem! In just 10 years, all the 3 men of the house of Elimelech died. Famine and recession can claim lives prematurely. Naomi, the wife decided to move back to Bethlehem after experiencing the bitterness and cruelty of famine and lack. Be encouraged! Famine and lack will not last forever. Naomi heard news of the barley harvest in her hometown.

Together with her daughter-in-law Ruth, they came home to the right place at the right time to meet the right people. During harvest season, like Naomi and Ruth, we will experience great provision and favor. It was a wonderful season but alas it came to an end. When the old season expires, it can signify a new beginning for us as we are ready to move closer to our destiny. Ruth is a type of the Bride of Christ and Naomi is a type of the Holy Spirit. Ruth was instructed by Naomi to wait on Boaz, a type of the Redeemer Kinsman at the threshing floor. Ruth 3: 7-8 7 And after Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was cheerful, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain; and she came softly, uncovered his feet, and lay down.

Now it happened at midnight that the man was startled, and turned himself; and there, a woman was lying at his feet.
At midnight, Ruth had a personal encounter with Boaz, a type of Jesus Christ. It was at this window of opportunity that Ruths future and destiny were secured and sealed. The romantic story ended with Ruth marrying Boaz. There is coming such a mighty and awesome harvest to be presented to our Redeemer Kinsman Jesus Christ at the threshing floor

before our Heavenly Bridegroom comes to take His Bride. It was the union of Boaz and Ruth that resulted in the birth of Obed, the father of Jesse and the father of David. Jesus Christ the Savior of the world came from this lineage. The final season of Ruths life impacted and influenced nations and generations. This is similar to the calling of the Bride of Christ to impact and influence nations and generations for His Glory before the Bride of Christ is taken home to heaven. The midnight hour prepares the Bride of Christ to have a fresh encounter with The Bridegroom at the threshing Floor where the mighty harvest will be harvested. A new level of intimacy will be birthed in this decade of destiny. PARABLE OF THE 10 VIRGINS Matthew 25:1-13 1 Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight a cry was heard: Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him! Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us! But he answered and said, Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Interestingly, it was at midnight that the Bridegroom came to claim His Bride. Before midnight all the 10 virgins were slumbering. The Body of Christ has been sleeping and could not watch with Jesus Christ. Suddenly, a great cry at midnight will be heard. Are you ready to meet Jesus Christ? Five virgins made it while the other five did not. Please note that they were all virgins. It is possible for some Christians waiting for Christs return to experience the shock of their lives when the Bridegroom comes and leaves them behind!

The MIDNIGHT SEASON for this COMING DECADE will be a season of prayer, praise and worship. Suddenly, as we begin to pray, praise and worship God, there will be a great spiritual earthquake that will rock whole communities, cities or nations. Prison doors that held captives for generations will be supernaturally opened. Thousands upon thousands of the likes of the jailer and family will be saved. Salvation and deliverance will be happening during this decade of midnight season. In conclusion, we pray that the greater revival than the Azusa Street in the next decade as we enter the midnight hour and season will break out in Malaysia or Indonesia or Asia or Africa. Hopefully in Malaysia! Amen and Amen!
