Conflict: A puppy was lost in a train station. Parker Wilson, a professor, found it. He decided to take it home. Since there was no one who was taking ownership of the puppy, he decided to keep it as his own. The two formed a very strong bond. Every day that the professor goes to work, he takes the dog with him. An unfortunate event happened, the professor died. The dog still goes to the professors workplace, waiting for his return. Will it ever see him again? Events: 1) A boy was narrating to his class the story of his personal hero. It is a dog, and the dogs name was Hachi. 2) A puppy was lost in the train station. Parker Wilson found it and decided to take it home. No one is claiming for the dog so he decided to adopt it. With the help of his Japanese friend, he discovered that the dogs name is Hachi. It was indicated from its collar since the dog was from Japan. 3) Meanwhile, the two became closer. Everyday, Parker takes Hachi with him to work. Hachi waits for him outside of the school after he is finished with his work and together, they walk home. Parker discovered that the dog never fetches. His Japanese friend told him that Hachi will only fetch for a special reason. 4) One day, Hachi refuses to go to work with him. Instead, Hachi helds his ball and was ready to play fetch. Parker was surprised and pleased but because Hachi didnt really want to go, he decides to leave him and finally goes to work.

5) As Parker was teaching his class, he suddenly breaks down. He had a heart attack. This may be the reason why Hachi didnt want to go to work with him and instead wanted to play fetch. It is said that Hachi would only fetch for a special reason, maybe he had an instinct about what would happen. 6) The next day, it was the Professors funeral. He died. Everyone went there except for Hachi who was asked to stay at home. 7) Hachi still goes to the train station, outside the professors workplace. He still waits for his return. 8) Parkers son-in-law, Michael, came to bring Hachi home. Despite of that, Hachi still returns to the same spot where he waits for Parker everyday 9) Cate, Parkers wife, decided to sell their house. Because of this, her daughter and her husband decide to bring Hachi to their home. 10) Hachi escapes their home just to go again to the train station. He did that for 9 years. Its a good thing that a vendor gives him free hotdogs while he waits. 11) A press decided to publish Hachis story in the newspaper. 12) One day, Cate visited Parkers workplace and saw a glimpse of Hachi. She cant believe that the dog is still waiting and it has grown old and weary. She became emotional and decided to stay with Hachi for awhile. 13) Hachi returned to the train station. He closed his eyes while reminiscing the great time he and the professor spent together. 14) The student was finished with his story about the faithful dog named Hachi. All of his classmates were deeply touched. After his class, he walked home with a puppy that looks exactly like Hachi. Message: Loyalty is a great virtue. We should never forget about the people who deeply loved us and who we also loved in return. That person may become miles away from you or may have even crossed the afterlife but distance or death can never end a relationship. The bond you shared will always be reminisced. Even though that person may not be with you physically, you can always treasure him or her inside your heart. Friendship is also valued in this story. It is evident that the dog is really a mans best friend. There are no limitations when it comes to friendship. You can be friends with almost anyone or in this case, even with animals. As long as you show some love and care to them, they will consider you a great friend. If a dog can be this faithful to a human, we as humans must also show that same faithfulness, if not, greater. Our friend and those other persons that we love will truly appreciate it if they know that whatever happens, they will always have a place in our hearts.
