NEIGHBORHOOD: a place where people live (neighbor-hood = to dwell nearby) COMMUNITY: a place where people live together (common-unity = shared by all)

~People work for themselves ~People are sometimes friendly ~People often leave ~People use ~People live next door to folks whose names they don t know ~People live next door to folks they never see ~People often place themselves out of reach ~People think they have to do it all themselves ~People struggle to live! unnecessarily so

~People work for everybody ~People are always family ~People never leave ~People recycle ~People know many names

~People know who lives next door ~People are accessible ~People know they can count on others ~People work together to lessen the burden ~People think of every child s well-being

~People think of their children s well-being

~People think of &arth as %home' ~(ife is a valued commodity

)*+ ,*--$& ,-../012+3 4445ecause we are all already living communally6 7,ommunity' 8 7,ommunal' are derived from the same common root as %,ommunion%9 %,ommunication%9 and so forth4 2hat which is communal is that which is shared by all- what s commonly called (ife4 : neighborhood implies a place where people live- a community9 a place where people live together! a subtle but significant difference that helps shape (ife in profound ways4 1 say (ife in the spirit of living communally9 as (ife is that which is shared by all9 and thus ought to be acknowledged more readily as such4 1n a neighborhood9 we often carry on with %our lives% as if they are not at all a part of the whole which is (ife4 1n a community9 everyone knows without having to hear an overt spoken word that they are all a part of the $ame -ne4 2his is ultimately about nothing more than representing the -ne9 to the best of all our vast graciously-given abilities4 2here will be different degrees and perceptions9 yet that need not hinder us from recogni;ing that what we see is in fact the same thing under a varying light spectrum4 2hink of human beings as individual angles! since we all occupy our own space in perceived time it follows that we all stand at our own angle- an angle consisting of two lines that intersect9 hence the term %individual% < %indivisible duality%4 &very individual angle has its own curvature and degree! so do our individual perceptions4 =ather than dwell on our personali;ed observations9 or perceptions9 in a way that strengthens the separation that keeps unity from recogni;ing itself9 living in a community actively helps to empower one s sense of unification with self and surrounding self (aka environment)9 which can only lead to productive activity4 )hen we listen attentively9 and actively look at life s movements9 we find that in every facet its primary nature is to exhibit growth9 expression and expansion4 1n other words9 life in a sense is a soil for limitless potential and boundless possibility to conceive4 )ith that9 let s keep this in mind: by definition9 the scope of a neighborhood is inherently limited to a measurable distance! travel far enough and you have left the area4 : community (which can be a country9 a planet9 a galaxy) exists without a pre-determined distance! no matter how far you go9 you stay connected4 )hen you are connected to something9 you are that something444 and that something is you4 )elcome home6
