The purpose of this phase is to develop detailed specifications for the dynamic website required to support organization. Analysis covers the current status of the manual system also determines the requirements for the new system. The data collected in investigation phase needs to be manipulated and converted to the form that can be used by the analyst and his/her team members in order to distend system in its true sense. The most important thing in the whole process after the data collection through efferent tools like existing documents is the stage of data analysis. In data analysis efferent techniques are applied to gather information about the organization. Data about the organization is collected by interviews with the staff and management. The following fact finding techniques can be used for collecting the data.
Interviews
Analysis can use interviews to collect information about the current system form the potential users. Here the analysis discovers the areas of misunderstanding. Unrealistic exception and descriptions of activities and problems along with resistance to the new proposed system. Interviews are time consuming.
Questionnaires
Here the analysis can collect data from large groups. Questionnaires could be open-ended or Close questionnaires. Open-ended questionnaires are used to learn feelings, opinions, general experiences on process detail or problem. In it questions are answered in their own words. Where as in closed questionnaires as set of prescribed answers are used and specific response has to be selected. This is a costly affair as the questions should be printed out.
Observation

Definition:
It begins with requirements gathering. Developer and Customers meet and define the overall objectives of the software, identify whatever requirements are known and identify the areas which require further definition. In many instances the client only has a general view of what is expected from the software product. In such a scenario where there is an absence of detailed information regarding the input to the system, the processing needs and the output requirements, the prototyping model may be employed .
