Both Dr. Will and Annie died from tuberculosis when the boys were very young, and both the boys went to live with Uncle Sam and Aunt Jeffie. So
far as I know, they were never adopted by Sam and Jeffie. Billy also died at 21 years old of TB and is buried with Sam and Jeffie in Oakwood
Cemetery in Corsicana. Harlan (always known as Jake) died in San Angelo in 1997.

Cemetery is on Texas Hwy West 222 about 2 miles west of Munday TX.

There may be about 2,000 buried here. The town clerk said that all records burned in 1956 and that the only records Knox County has of the people
buried in this and other cemeteries in Knox County is the actual logging of the tomb stones which they have done. So if there is a tombstone, then
they have some records.
