Bowden, Bobby. "A Tenure Longer Than Expected and Shorter Than Desired." Www.nytimes.com. New York Times, 31 Aug. 2010. Web. 07 Apr. 2013. However, as time went on and the program started having success, he decided to stay there. Despite offers from other big name college programs, and even NFL coaching opportunities, he remained at Florida State. He explains he saw the job as an opportunity to do good and to impact young people for the best. He goes on to talk about how he was forced out of Florida State and how he deeply missed it and wished he could've stayed.
