Ants in the Pants

ACT ONE 2011 OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL- AFTERNOON FALL (Scene between Artist and janitor) THE ARTIST IS SITTING AND SKETCHING OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL, WHICH SHE WAS ASSIGNED BY HER BOSS AND SHE IS VERY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT HER WORK. SHE SITS ON THE FLOOR AFTER FINISHING HER PAINTING, AND THEN SHE GETS OUT A BOTTLE OF SWEET TEA, AND SHE DIDNT HOLD THE BOTTLE CAREFULLY SO THE WATER SPILLS OUT ON HER PANTS. AFTER A LITTLE BIT, A COLONY OF ANTS GATHER TOGETHER AND GET ON HER PANTS AND WHEN SHE FOUND OUT IT WAS TOO LATE. SHE COULDNT GET RID OF THE ANTS SO SHE STARTED SCREAMING FOR HELP. AND A JANITOR RUNS OUT TO HELP HER. ARTIST- (Winnie Pooh) Hmmmm ahh I love this sweet tea. It tastes so good. Oh snap! Why am I feeling so itchy? Ahh!!!!! Oh my God how did these ants get on my pants? No way. Help, help! Somebody please help me get these ants off my pants Otherwise theyre going to bite me everywhere.

THE ARTIST STARTS JUMPING AROUND AND THEN JANITOR COMES RUNNING OUT TO HELP HER OUT.

JANITOR Yes maam, I am coming.

ARTIST Come on. Hurry up!

THE JANITOR TRIES TO TAKE THE ANTS OFF THE ARTISTS PANTS WITH THE HELP OF A BROOM STICK BUT THE ANTS GET ON THE BROOM STICK AND THEN THEY GET ON THE JANITORS BODY TOO. THE CAMERA BUFF WAS TAKING PICTURES BECAUSE HE SAW THEM JUMPING LIKE CRAZY, AND THEY START CRYING BECAUSE THE BITES ARE VERY PAINFUL. JANITOR I am here. Whats going on Maam. Eeks how did these ants get on your pants.

ARTIST Dont question me anything right now. Just for God sake please save me. Oh God, why did this happen today only when I was painting with passion. Ahhh this sucks. Just come on you janitor whatever your name is, dont be so dumb and bring a broom stick otherwise they will get on you too.

JANITOR Yes, Yes maam I have it! Dont worry I will save you. No, no, no these pants cant Come on me so easily. Ewww theyre biting me too. Oh God these ants are killing me. Hey I see some girls going in that room. I think thats a locker room because there is a Gym

right there. Come on lets go there. Maybe someone can help us out.

ARTIST Oh God, I think I wont be able to survive with this itching and pain. Are you sure that it is a locker room.

JANITOR Yes Maam, I have been working in this school for 5 years. I know where is each room is. So dont worry and come with me.

ARTIST Ok lets go there. I just hope someone helps us out.

JANITOR Dont worry maam I am pretty sure that someone (A God sent person) will be there and they can help us out. I am here with you and I will save you. Thats my promise.

CUT TO:

THE GYM TEACHER IS IN THE LOCKER ROOM AND THE TWO GIRLS ARE FIGHTING BECAUSE STUDENT 2 IS BLAMING STUDENT 1, FOR STEALING HER IPOD. THE TEACHER TRIES TO STOP THEM AND THEN THE JANITOR AND THE ARTIST ENTER THE LOCKER ROOM. THEY ARE ASTONISHED TO SEE THE TWO GIRLS FIGHTING SO VICIOUSLY AND THE TEACHER IS TRYING TO STOP THEM BUT THEYRE JUST REALLY STUBBORN AND NOT STOPPING IT. THEN THE CAMERA BUFF ENTERS IN THIS SCENE AND TAKES PICTURES BECAUSE HE SEES THE STUDENTS FIGHT AND SEES THE ARTIST AND JANITOR JUMPING LIKE CRAZY, AND THEY START CRYING BECAUSE THE BITES ARE VERY PAINFUL. CUT TO:

LOCKER ROOM AFTERNOON (ARTIST, JANITOR, GYM TEACHER, SOME STUDENTS AND THE CAMERA BUFF)

GYM TEACHER Hey you! Why are you messing with that girl.

STUDENT 1 Miss K, you should see what shes doing?

STUDENT 2 No miss, dont listen to her. She is lying. She stole my ipod. Do you have any idea how expensive that thing is. And my grand mom gave it to me on my birthday. That was my last present from her.

STUDENT 1 No I didnt. You put it somewhere and blaming me for that. Youre so dumb.

STUDENT 2 You B****, how dare you call me dumb! You steal my ipod first and then youre lying. You know what youre dumb. Because the ones who steal other peoples things are one of the worlds dumbest people ever.

STUDENT 1 Oh yeah. Girl you want to fight over it? I am telling you I dont have your iPod. Ms. K, I want you to check my locker, my bag pack and everything because if I do it she is not going to believe me, so please would you mind if you check my locker and all this confusion is clear. Because were fighting over nothing.

STUDENT 2 Yes Ms. K, check it in front of me so that I also know whether she is lying or not. What if its not there and she left it at home? I dont care I want my iPod at any cost.

GYM TEACHER OK, you dont worry if I dont find it in school. I will have to have a parent conference with the principal. Where is your locker?

STUDENT 1 Its right here Ms. K

GYM TEACHER Okay and if I dont find it here or in your bag pack. I have to call your parents and have a conference with the principal. Are you ready for that? You can still tell me where her iPod is. Its never too late.

STUDENT 1 Ok fine do what you want. I am being honest. I dont have her iPod. If you dont find it in my locker or anywhere else feel free to call my mom.

GYM TEACHER Ok as you wish.

WHILE ALL THIS IS HAPPENING THE JANITOR AND ARTIST COME IN THE LOCKER ROOM. AND THE GYM TEACHER AND THE STUDENTS ARE JUST GLARING AT THEM. AND IS NOT EVEN ASKING THEM WHATS GOING ON WITH THEM UNTIL THE JANITOR TELLS THEM. CUT TO: ARTIST Oh so this is the locker room?

JANITOR Yes, this is the locker room.

ARTIST What are they doing? Why are they fighting?

JANITOR Look lets not worry about them. We have to take these ants off our pants.

ARTIST Yeah, but you can call that lady. Maybe she can help us.

JANITOR Oh my god, I am doing it. Have patience.

ARTIST Hey lady, dont be talking to me like that.

JANITOR Then stop getting all excited. The ants are also biting me. I am feeling the exact same way youre feeling. So just chill.

THE JANITOR REQUESTS THE LADY TO HELP THEM TAKE THE ANTS OFF THE PANTS. CUT TO: JANITOR Hello Maam can you help us please.

GYM TEACHER Yes. We were wondering whats going on with you guys. How may I help you. OOOhhh omg how did all this happen. We have to call the nurse. Oh my God Are you okay?

JANITOR As you can see, my whole body is swollen now. So how can I be okay. But please can you call the nurse quickly because this madam is going to scream her lungs out.

GYM TEACHER Yes give me 2 minutes I will call her right now.

JANITOR Thank you so much.

THE ARTIST GETS FRUSTRATED NOW AND STARTS SCREAMING REALLY LOUDLY, BECAUSE SHE CANT TAKE THIS PAIN ANYMORE. SHE IS VERY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THE JANITOR IS SO SLOW. ARTIST Oh my god, you retard did you tell her to call the nurse.

JANITOR Yes, I did she said the nurse is going to be here in 2 minutes.

ARTIST Ahhh how I hate this. JANITOR Maam you will be fine. Just wait for another 2 minutes. ARTIST I have been hearing that for the past 15 minutes now. WHERE IS THE NURSE???

CUT TO:

THE NURSE ENTERS IN THE SCENE. NURSE Whats going on here?

JANITOR The ants got in the pants of the Artist because she was sitting outside on the floor and painting her picture. She had a sweet tea with her. And didnt close the bottle properly. Therefore, everything fell on the floor and ants got in her pants. She started screaming for help and I was passing by and I heard her screaming and I just ran outside to help her. While I was helping her take the ants off her pants with my broomstick. They came on me too.

NURSE Oh I see. Well I have called the ambulance. They should be coming here any minute. Why dont yall do one thing. Take off your clothes and I am waiting for you guys outside.

CAMERA BUFF ENTERS IN THIS SCENE CUT TO: CAMERA BUFF Hello everyone, my name is Kirby Johns, and I am here to take pictures of the whole school. Would you mind standing together please?

NURSE Umm sir, would you mind stepping out for a minute or so please. I am waiting for you guys outside.

THE CAMERA BUFF GLARES AT HER WEIRDLY BECAUSE HE IS CONFUSED WHATS GOIN ON WITH THE OTHER LADIES BACK THERE. HE HAS A SMILE ON HIS FACE AND HE THINKS THOSE LADIES ARE CRAZY DANCING IN THE LOCKER ROOM LIKE THAT. CAMERA BUFF Oh whats going on with those ladies back there?

NURSE Ants got on their pants and theyre in panic right now.

CAMERA BUFF Oh, how did all this happen?

NURSE I dont have time right now to explain everything. I have called the ambulance and theyre on their way. I just hope they get okay. Why are they taking so long to change?

CAMERA BUFF Yeah I hope so too. Theyre changing?

Nurse Yeah I have asked them to change so that they can get rid of these ants.

THE AMBULANCE COMES AND THE DOCTORS COME IN THE LOCKER ROOM TOO AND THEY SEE THEM. THEY WERE FAINTED. THEY QUICKLY TAKE THEM TO THE HOSPITAL. CUT TO:

NURSE Oh I think the ambulance is here.

CAMERA BUFF Oh yeah I can hear the siren.

NURSE Oh, there they are.

DOCTORS Where are my patients?

NURSE

Oh right there. Oh my God they have fainted.

DOCTORS No way this is too dangerous it can even kill them. We have to take them to the hospital right now. Come with me.

SO THIS BECOMES A BIG SCENE AND THE CAMERA BUFF CALLS THE NEWS WRITER BECAUSE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT IT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO SOMEONE THAT ANTS HAVE GOTTEN IN THEIR PANTS AND HAVE BITTEN THEM SO BADLY THAT THEY FAINTED. CITY HOSPITAL- AFTERNOON (DOCTORS, ARTIST, JANITOR, CAMERA BUFF AND THE NEWS WRITER). CUT TO:

NEWS WRITER What happened to them?

CAMERA BUFF I Have no idea. All I know is that ants have bitten them and they have fainted.

NEWS WRITER Wait what? Tell me in details. I need to know everything so can I post this on the news.

CAMERA BUFF I just said that I dont know all this happened. All I know is that they have fainted because the ants got in their pants and bit them.

NEWS WRITER Oh my God, that must be so painful. I just hope nothing big happens to them.

CAMERA BUFF Me too. Even I am worried about them. This has never happened.

NEWS WRITER I know right huh. Even I have never heard of such things happening before.

CAMERA BUFF Yeah youre right. Why are doctors taking so long to treat them.

NEWS WRITER Maybe they are trying hard to get them back to their senses.

CAMERA BUFF Yeah I think youre right.

NEWS WRITER Oh I see that doctor coming out of his room. Come on lets go and ask him.

CAMERA BUFF Wait I think he is coming here only. Oh God please I want to hear good news about them. I just hope theyre alright.

DOCTOR Not to worry at all. Theyre absolutely fine now. They just have to take a pain killer because their whole body is hurting. The nurse did a good thing on calling me on time. Otherwise they could have been killed today. And those were not ordinary ants, they were the poisonous one.

CAMERA BUFF I have called the news reporter and she is here now. If you dont mind can we ask them questions, because this is something strange that has happened. We just want to make everyone aware to stay away from these poisonous ants.

DOCTOR Umm, Can you do this after a little bit because theyre not in that good condition that they can answer your questions. Please let them rest.

NEWS WRITER Ok doctor, I understand. We will come back again.

DOCTOR Ok thank you

CAMERA BUFF Ok No problem

AND SO THEY ARE IN THEIR SENSES NOW AND AFTER 2 HOURS THE CAMERA BUFF AND THE NEWS WRITER COME BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND ASK THEM QUESTIONS. AND THEY TELL THEM EVERYTHING WHAT HAPPENED. THEY ARE ON THE NEWS PAPER NOW AND ARE FAMOUS.

CUT TO:

NEWS WRITER Hello how are you guys feeling now?

ARTIST Better than before

JANITOR Yeah

CAMERA BUFF Good, good. Well were here to ask you some questions and I will be taking pictures because it is the first time it has ever happened that the ants have got in the pants and you both ended up coming to the hospital.

NEWS WRITER So who wants to start first?

ARTIST AND JANITOR Ahhh its a long story.
