paper size: at least 30cm paper type: thin, not too soft time to fold: 1-1,5h

step 1 : Fold halfs and diagonals.

step 2 : Mark in half and fold a fourth up to the diagonal.

step 3 : Fold edge along the precreased line.

step 4 : Fold eighths up to the diagonal creases.

Step 5 : Fold eighths to connect the diagonal creases.

Step 6 : Repeat steps 2 to 5 on the other half.

step 7 : Turn the paper 135 clockwise.

step 8 : Fold a line connecting the two indicated points.

step 9 : Fold a quarter up to the intersection.

step 10 : Mountain-fold edge to the former line.

step 11 : Repeat steps 9 and 10 on the other side.

step 12 : Collapse the precreased lines.

step 13 : Open-sink in and out along the precreased lines.

step 14 : Collapse precreased lines.

step 15 : Fold the corner to the top.

step 16 : Open up and squash along diagonals.

step 17 : Fold the layers to the left and squash the top.

step 18 : Squash the corner-flap.

step 19 : Fold inside along the bisectors.

step 20 : Turn the model over and squash the flap.

step 21 : Petal-fold.

step 22 : Open up the whole part.

step 23 : Squash and collapse along the precreased lines.

step 24 : Squash and collapse along the precreased lines.

step 25 : Pull out the hidden part and look at the top part now.

step 26 : Squash the top along the precreased lines.

step 27 : Turn the model over.

step 28 : Open up the box-pleated part.

step 29 : Pull one pleat out and make a transition unit.

step 30 : Collapse the boxpleating and the transition unit.

step 31 : Squash the bulb to form another transition-unit.

step 32 : Fold down again and collapse boxpleat-part completely.

step 33 : Repeat step 29 to 32 on the other side.

step 34 : Fold bisector.

step 35 : Pull out the hidden paper.

step 36 : Pleat until it lies flat, to make the feathers.

step 37 : Repeat step 35 and 36 on the other side.

step 38 : Fold down one flap.

step 39 : Fold edges inside and another flap down.

step 40 : Turn the model over.

step 41 : Closed-sink the first layer.

step 42 : Reverse-fold along the upper layer.

step 43 : Reverse-fold along the edge.

step 44 : Reverse-fold along the upper layer.

step 45 : Repeat 42 to 44 on the other two layers.

step 46 : Repeat steps 41 to 45 on the other side.

step 47 : Fold up the flaps.

step 48 : Fold in 30 angle to the right, opening the middle part.

step 49 : Reverse-fold in and out to form the leg.

step 50 : Repeat step 48 and 49 on the other side.

step 51 : Turn the model over.

step 52 : Crimp to make the wings overlap each other.

step 53 : Crimp again, this time at a wider angle.

step 54 : Turn the model over.

step 55 : Pull down the top extending the existing crease, the model wont lie flat from now on.

step 56 : Fold up again where the crease hits the edge.

step 57 : Turn the model over.

step 58 : Fold down the flap.

step 59 : Crimp in 45 angle.

step 60 : Flatten the top part.

step 61 : Pull out until the two edges align.

Step 62 : Squash the flaps.

step 63 : Petal-fold to form nearly round eyes.

step 64 : Pull out the corner again and look from the front.

step 65 : Valley-fold aligning the edges, look from the top now.

step 66 : Push to bring the two halfs of the head together.

step 67 : Process of folding.

step 68 : Crimp and fold the whole model on half.

step 69 : Reverse-fold to form the lower beak, the model wont lie flat at the part where the fold reaches the legs.

step 70 : Crimp lower beak.

step 71 : Crimp beak to align with the edge and open sink the tip.

step 72 : Fold inside.

Step 73 : Fold the corner inside to hide it and lock the beak.

Step 74 : Shape the head to be round and voluminous. (the best way to do this is putting a crumpled tissue inside it)

step 75 : You may have to use MC to make the halfs of the lower beak hold together. Look at the legs now.

step 76 : Fold the first and the fourth toe to the left.

step 77 : Crimp the other two toes to face forward.

step 78 : Fold behind to make the leg thin.

step 79 : Rabbit-ear every toe.

step 80 : Crimp the tips of every toe to form claws.

step 81 : Repeat steps 76 to 80 on the other leg. Look at the tail now.

step 82 : Fold back to form a thinner tail.

step 83 : Crimp to form two tail-feathers.

step 84 : Fold behind.

step 85 : Crimp to form another row of feathers.

step 86 : Fold behind.

step 87 : Bring the whole model into a round shape.
