LIVING BY THE SEA

I moved with my family from the city to a town on the coast last year. My fathers a doctor and he
got a new job here. He thought it was better for us to live in a small town where the air is cleaner.
I love the place! Its so peaceful. From my bedroom window, Ive got a beautiful view of the
harbour. I always watch the small fishing boats leaving in the early morning. I also watch them
return with fresh fish for the market. There are so many things to do in town, too. It is full of
traditional shops and historical buildings. Theres also a museum, a castle and some beautiful
gardens. Its great because everything is close at hand. It takes me just 5 minutes from my house to
walk to the beach.
At first, I didnt like the slow pace of life here. I felt isolated and missed the hustle and bustle of the
city. Now though, I never feel bored! I made lots of friends and I love the life here. There are a lot
of things to do. Most days, I go swimming in the sea or cycling with my friends along country
lanes. Its also very safe. We dont have to lock our bikes. Its amazing here!
