Joint Effort Terrorist Defeat Organization (JETDO) The Joint Effort Terrorist Defeat Organization will ideally be a joint

entity and jointly manned activity of the Cabinet Secretariat, Govt. of India & the Private sector; established to reduce or eliminate the effects of all forms of terrorist activities used against Indian security Forces and the General Public. JETDO's mission will be defined in a Government of India Directive, and sanctioned by the President. JETDO shall focus (lead, advocate, coordinate) all Intelligence actions in support of the Combat Commanders and their respective efforts to defeat Terrorism as a weapon of strategic influence. JETDOs mission is 4 fold: Gathering of Information, Analysis of Information, Inform the Forces and,

This will be accomplished with a significant focus on technology, and JETDO will regularly recruit the help of private industry in developing solutions to meet each of these four Lines of Operation. JETDOs approach to Terrorism defeat originates from the organizations five focus points: prediction, detection, prevention, neutralization, and mitigation. Requests for proposals from Private sector will be regularly posted to private industry participants via a security protocol. Proposals will be judged for viability using, among other criteria, the Technical Readiness Level (TRL), ranging from Basic principles to Actual system readiness, enabling a rapid assessment of solutions for reliable deployment in the field. In addition to specific RFPs, JETDO will also participate in the annual Counter-Terrorism Symposium, where specifically invited industry partners can share ideas and issues in a somewhat open forum. JETDO will operate under the authority of the President of India. JETDOs leadership teams will include representatives from the office of the Cabinet Secretary and of all four branches of the military forces, plus legal, advisory and expert representatives from

JETDO will consolidate current and relevant irregular warfare data from numerous sources into a central web enabled server that will be easily accessible by the Forces & Intelligence operatives anywhere in the world. It will be the foundational information brokerage and repository for all up-to-the-minute information; and will consolidate reports, best practices, and tactics, techniques, and procedures. It will also provide area-specific foreign language training materials and a searchable photo library of known suspects. JETDO will maintain a 24/7/365 operations center in addition to the topic-centric Secure Web portal. JETDO will regularly receive questions from units in-operation and units preparing to deploy. All requests for information will be answered rapidly, usually within 24 hours, providing materials tailored to the rapidly changing irregular warfare requirements.
