As you consider partnering with AAA, its important to understand who we are and how we serve the community. In the following pages we invite you to discover where we came from, what we are today and the people that make up our membership. For AAA, the road began in the early 1900s, at a time when the automobile was thought of as a passing fancy. It was then that our original 11 Members signed a charter that formed The Auto Club of San Francisco.

With a pledge to keep drivers safe and to help them experience the freedom of the road, this early Club fought for better roads, labeled the existing ones with location signs and fought to establish the first legal bill of rights for motorists.Within a few years, to strengthen their presence in government, the scattered clubs throughout our region united to form the California State Automobile Association.We blazed a trail for drivers that joined all parts of the country. n the early 1900s, when AAA first began offering auto insurance, we viewed insurance in a very different way, the

After an accident a Member can drive or have a car taken to one of the networks repair shops, where photo and video images of the damage are instantly transmitted to the Claims Resolution Center. Most Direct Repair Network claims are resolved within hours, allowing the repair work to begin sooner. Its a fast way to get back on the road. Personal Umbrella insurance offers broad liability protection over and above the coverage found in a basic homeowners policy.The insurance has up to a $5,000,000 maximum limit.
