We at Calcutta Business School believe in excellence and thus in the process of creating excellence in the management education and research. Under the Chairmanship of Mr. S.K. Birla, we always thrive for creating new definition of excellence. Aiming at developing young talent of the country and to strengthen management research, CBS has planned to organize one workshop on Research Methodology. Objectives: After finishing this workshop, one will be expected to Research is an important source of knowledge. In order to conduct sound research in management, one is required to be thorough in various research approaches and techniques. The basic purpose of this workshop is to foster understanding about the appropriate research methods and statistics useful to conduct management research. The workshop aims at providing expert knowledge on different research methods and data analyses in diversified fields of management. This is a residential workshop. Participants are required to stay at the campus of Calcutta Business School during the workshop so that group projects can be done. Participants will be able to avail the library facility of Calcutta Business School for literature review, however, they are requested to bring their own laptops. Participants will get an opportunity to share their research problems with the experts from their respective research fields.

Operational Research Society of India (ORSI)


The Operational Research Society of India was founded in 1957 to provide a forum for the Operational Research Scientists as well as an avenue to widen their horizon by exchange of knowledge and application of techniques from outside the country. To further that end, the Society is affiliated to the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS). The headquarters of the Society is located in Kolkata at 39, Mahanirvan Road, Kolkata 700029, India. At present the Society has twelve operating chapters across India.

Course Fees:

Faculty and Full-Time Research Scholars from AICTE approved colleges are required to pay the Boarding Fee of Rs. 5000/- only. Service Taxes @12.36% will be additional to the course fee. The total charges to be paid will be: Rs. 5,618.00. Course Fee for the faculty of non-AICTE colleges and industry practitioner is Rs. 10, 000/- per participant inclusive of food and stay at Non-AC accommodation at CBS campus. Service Taxes @12.36% will be additional to the course fee. Total charges to be paid will be: Rs. 11,236.00. Course Fee for the faculty of non-AICTE colleges and industry practitioner is Rs. 15,000/- per participant inclusive of food and stay at AC accommodation at CBS campus. Service Taxes @12.36% will be additional to the course fee. Total charges to be paid will be: Rs. 16,854.00.
