Characters 1.School Girl: Alice 2.School Boy: Peter 3.Narrator (optional) Props Required

Plot proposal Two school children are on their way to school, the children are talking about what they take to school with them. One student is a very good student (Alice) and the other student is very naughty (Peter). The children are talking about what they are carrying in their bags. Alice has a pencil, a book and a bottle of water. Peter is carrying a plastic snake, a big scary spider and a water gun. The audience has to help Alice find out what is in Peters bag (because Peter wont tell Alice) At the end of the drama; Peter and Alice arrive at school. The audience has to decide whether Alice should tell the teacher about the naughty things that Peter is carrying or keep it a secret. NB: Key vocabulary is in bold. Make sure that you take your time and speak clearly when you say these words! Script: A Day at School

(Peter is walking down the street and Alice walks up behind him) Alice: Good morning Peter! Peter: Good morning Alice! Alice and Peter: Good morning everybody! (The audience shouts Good morning) Peter: How are you this morning Alice? Are you happy to go to school? Alice: Yes, I am very happy to go to school! Peter: Your bag looks very heavy today! What do you have in your bag? Alice: I have lots of things in my bag. I have a ______ (Alice pulls a pencil out from her bag and shows it to the audience)

Alice: What do I have? Audience: A pencil! Alice: Yes, a pencil! I also have a _______ (Alice pulls out a book from her bag, but hides it from the audience) Alice: What do I have? (Audience shout suggestions at the stage e.g. water, book, rubber etc) Alice: Yes, a book! I have one more thing in my bag! What is it? (Alice pulls out a bottle of water from her bag, but hides it from the audience) (Audience shout suggestions at the stage e.g. water, book, rubber etc) Alice: Yes! A bottle of water! Your bag looks funny! What do you have in your bag? (Peter starts laughing) Peter: I like to play tricks at school. I have lots of naughty things in my bag! Alice: What do you have? Peter: I have a ___________ (Peter pulls out a snake from his bag and shows the audience) Alice: What is it? Audience: A snake! Peter: Yes! A snake! I like to scare all the teachers! (Peter waves the snake around, acting very silly) (Peter pulls out a spider from his bag, but hides it from the audience) Alice: What is it? Peter: It has eight, long legs. It is black. It is very scary! (Alice looks at the audience) Alice: Can you help me? What is it? Audience: Is it a spider! Peter: Yes! A spider! I like to make the girls scream! (Peter screams like a girl!) (Peter starts giggling and pulls out a water gun from his bag, but doesnt show the audience) Peter: This is my favourite toy! It is colourful, it is funny and it can make you wet. (Alice turns to the audience) Alice: Can you help me? What is it? Peter: Its a water gun!! I like to chase my friends!

(Peter sprays the water at the audience) Alice: You are a very naughty boy! (Alice turns to the audience) Alice: What do I do? Do I tell the teachers? Or let him be a naughty boy? Audience: Tell the teachers!!! (or) Let him be naughty! Alice: I think I should tell the teachers. Peter is a very naughty boy! Peter: Ohhhh no!! (Alice goes off stage to tell the teachers and Peter has a tantrum before leaving the stage)
