I want to first apologize for inconveniencing everybody over such a low class act of behavior presented by me. I also want to apologize for embarrassing both US Speedskating and myself by doing so. To be honest, I've been suffering from having to balance my financial predicament and my training schedule. I've had a very successful skating season, but it's been harder than ever for me to make ends meet and I've been having a very difficult time coming to grips with that. Though that is no excuse for my juvenile behavior, I admit that my adversity has hindered my stress and emotional levels. I am not homophobic and I shortly realized that what I wrote was cruel so I deleted my post an hour later. Unfortunately, I didn't act on my regret fast enough. Again, I am deeply sorry for my petty action and I understand better than ever how my actions can affect an entire organization. I am prepared for whatever punishment is necessary as a result of my actions. I've learned from this experience and I assure you that I won't fail to act like a world class athlete in the future. Thank you for taking the time to hear me out. Have a nice day. -Simon Cho Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Simon apologize email after bad spoke to his friend ---------- Forwarded message ---------From: Simon Cho <therealsimoncho@gmail.com> Date: Tue, May 31, 2011 at 3:36 PM Subject: Sorry To: Cc: mgreenwald@usspeedskating.org, bholbech@usspeedskating.org, ljager@usspeedskating.org, cweaver@usspeedskating.org, fhalvorsen@usspeedskating.org, rshimabukuro@usspeedskating.org, Jae Su Chun <jaesuchun@gmail.com>, jyeo@usspeedskating.org, Nicole Miller <nicole@headstrongconsulting.com> Dear ______, Simon Cho, here. I just wanted to apologize for what I wrote about you on Facebook. It was uncalled for and what goes on in your personal life is none of my business. I do not by any means think that you are a homosexual nor am I a homophobic. We are out chasing our own different dreams and it was wrong of me to disrespect yours. I have learned to stay on my side of the field and not look at or interfere with anyone else's so I assure that I won't repeat a mistake like this to you or anybody else. Again, I'm sorry for causing you emotional pain. I was being a bully and that will be the end of that. Good luck in California. -Simon Cho Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
