ANNOUNCEMENTS Reception of New Members - Cedar session is pleased to announce we will receive Jon & Jenny denHollander by letter of transfer on Sunday morning, August 18th. On Sunday morning, August 25th, we will receive Megan Hagerty by letter of transfer. Hikes with Pastor Steve - Our next summer hike with Pastor Steve will be held Friday, August 16 at Grand River Park. Upland woods, floodplain forest, restored native grasslands, wetlands and a small lake are some of the features of this 162 acre park along the banks of the Grand River. Grand River Park is located in Georgetown Township. From the intersection of Fillmore Street and 28th Avenue, travel north on 28th Avenue to the park entrance. Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water bottle, flashlight, bug spray. COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS JV Basketball Coach Needed - Zion Christian School is looking for a coach for its boys JV basketball team. Please contact Athletic Director Joel Bont at jbont@zionchristian.net if you are interested. Meijer Simply Give - The Hudsonville Love INC will be the recipient of the next Meijer "Simply Give" campaign from July 28-September 28. Customers can make a $10 donation at the Jenison Meijer by scanning a "Simply Give card" or handing the card to the cashier. Money raised will help stock the food pantries in the Hudsonville Love INC network. Meijer will provide financial support based on the level of participation which increases the donation. Cards are available in the Love INC office, Love's Treasures Resale Store and the Outback (3300 Van Buren, Hudsonville).

Interested in Church Membership at Cedar? On Wednesday evening, September 11th, Pastor Steve will hold a membership seminar from 7:00 8:30 PM at HCS for anyone interested in church membership. COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS Volunteers Needed - Do you manage your familys finances? Do you have a desire to serve out your faith by helping others who are struggling to make ends meet? The LOVING HELP Program is continually in need of Budget Mentors and Work Book Leaders. The time commitment is 1 hour per week on Thursday evenings or Wednesday mornings (free childcare available). Training, materials, and consistent guidance are provided.
