[OP] Conga Hammer (#p609712)

Please use this thread to post your AARs on OP Conga Hammer. There is at least the story to tell, how we commandeered their Orca with 4 T3s in it... Top (#top) Report this post (./report.php?f=186&p=609712) Reply with quote (./posting.php?mode=quote&f=186&p=609712)

Re: [OP] Conga Hammer (#p609810)

It seems the OP was a fake post. The facts seem to be: Well i'm the real Deadlyassassin2 that didn't post this message... This post was a troll by someone, who I haven't got a clue but oh well, they can have their fun. All I have to say is, this happened while I was out drinking last night with some friends. We had our orca loaded up to possibly save some things after all this crap. I didn't log my character off so it was sitting in the pos some of the night. Well while I was out, I got a message that someone changed the pos password and ejected our orca. Soo yeah... That's the real story here, I'm not some spy lol. What's lost is lost, and we can easily make this up. It was fun while it lasted, and we also figured this would happen at some point with being part of whores, and everyone hating us =] Props go to Eve Uni for bringing in such a large fleet we couldn't do anything about it, have fun guys! That guy has my respect for being a good sport and the guy who put up the fake post should feel ashamed now.

Re: [OP] Conga Hammer (#p609907)

Brilliant fleet and really whole weekend event! Credit goes to Frood for excellent fit advice!! (Inculding cap implants, boosters) Travel fleet suberp both ways. Super big thanks to all the explorers scanning the pipes. Small thought that perhaps a slightly later start may have gotten more fleet members from US time zones for initial work, at cost of late night for EU, always trade offs. For a newbro like myself, warp bubbles occasionally made target approaches confusing, and at times instructions were initially unclear to me on our relatively relaxed comms. However, having relaxed comms made this event so much fun! I commend all the organizers. Cheers guys, great fun! Excellently planned and executed. Well done E-Uni! here's my favorite shots showing the fleet and POS explosion! http://imgur.com/1cRfnGf (http://imgur.com/1cRfnGf) http://imgur.com/oP6Yram (http://imgur.com/oP6Yram) http://imgur.com/Ctfio7T (http://imgur.com/Ctfio7T) Top (#top) Report this post (./report.php?f=186&p=609907) Reply with quote (./posting.php?mode=quote&f=186&p=609907)

Big thanks to everyone who took their time to organize this event and/or scan down entry and exit paths for the rest of us. <3 Was a fun weekend. I learned a lot about how to act in w-space to minimize the risks for yourself and your fleet. Edit: I meant to post in the other Conga Hammer thread. I didn't realize this was the thread for AARs. This was just as much fun as the last WH POS bash, but with the much added satisfaction of being against whores in space. I hope to be in future eventes of the like. Top (#top) Report this post (./report.php?f=186&p=609915) Reply with quote (./posting.php?mode=quote&f=186&p=609915)

Re: [OP] Conga Hammer (#p609961)

Its been said before, but from me personally, thanks to every single person involved in this endeavor, especially to those 'behind the scenes' so to speak who were at the foundation of making this happen, the Directors, the list goes on. Thanks for a wonderful weekend I'll remember forever. Every Unibro from the EU timezone who stayed up until five in the morning to see this through...respect. Those who were with me in the First Wave into Tickle...*brofist* I was in a Celestis, and from those of us who flew Ewar in this event, it was a weekend that had the potential to be very busy, given the nature of w-space PVP. At any moment, as we rolled the holes, we could get a PVP hungry, nasty, w-space corp on the other side. As it turned out, we got the other side of that coin. Nothing. Every w-space corp that we rolled to, either collapsed the hole themselves after giving us a looksie, or simply turtled up. The first wave did an amazing job of pulling the teeth on the POS, all I could do was play target for the thing by dipping in and out of range, getting my shields shot up, warp out, recharge, bounce, and get my shields shot up again. When at last the long guns were incapped, I could get closer and send my Hammerhead Drones out to work. This pretty much defined the rest of the weekend. When everything came out of reinforced, POCO's got the anger of my full flight of Hammerheads, and I equipped Sentries for the POS itself. Thanks again for making my gaming weekend. o7 Top (#top) Report this post (./report.php?f=186&p=609961) Reply with quote (./posting.php?mode=quote&f=186&p=609961)

Re: [OP] Conga Hammer (#p609975)

aight so here it comes. First things first. quite a while back , and you kinda guessed it , we stumbled upon this pos, and so this whole plan hatched. For endless posts in the forums, pilots conjured fittings four all pilot to take part in what was to be a huge success operation. And the day drew close, pilots were eager showing fitings to each other, and then i called for fleet form up. PRELUDE (spearheading) beeing assisted by very competent fleetmembers we quickly managed to organise our squads , check the pilots ship fittings and sort out the boosts. Looking down our fleet composition i blushed, so many guardians, and bhaalghorns and t3's, i felt a bit lonely in my ole heavy interdictor. our fleet was ready to move out. None of the pilots knew where we were going , apart the fact that it was a wormhole. the initial spearhead fleet was about 70 pilots strong. i knew that this was going to be a issue, knowing about mass limits on wormholes , and we had a few to pass thru. The first kspace access was not fresh either. so i had to make a choice. the logi pilots and the t3 ships were sent thru the wormhole, then 2 bhaals, then another squad of support t2 ships , i had to make a hard choice and jumped in as well. 2 more neuting battleships gave the wormhole its final strain, then its mass had been used up. it collapsed. knwing we had left half of our fleet behind, i delegated the leadership of the remaining ships to a competent pilot. and went further down the rabbit hole. Scouts were ordered to immediatly find a new kspace access and the fleet in anoikis moved towards its destination. after a few jumps . we arrived in our target system. and pilots began to notice the local pos name on dscan, the word was out. a WHORES IN SPACE POS. mumble went overboard keeping my calm, i checked the system for connections , deployed scouts and HIC's to all connections. and it began. PART ONE (wormhole control) In a situation like this , we usually dont want our targets to escape so speed is of importance. having already closed/controlled the exits we had to deal with the POS next. our logis were ready and so were our dammage dealers. i warped the fleet on grid and we immediatly started to take down the offensive pos modules , ewar neut batteries, guns and such. While we were incapacitating the modules, other pilots were busy preparing the "BUBBLE WRAP" , meaning , we had to place bubbles surrounding the POS in order to trap enemy pilots which may logg in INSIDE they're own pos. the trap was set and we were bloodthirsty. Oh i nearly forgot to mention the staging pos we had previously smuggled in, had been set up while were at the enemy pos. PART TWO (the wait and reinforcement fleets) while all this was happening , our scouts had the most crucial job to find an new access to kspace. Im not sure how it happened , but we were very lucky and found a new connection pretty fast. the left behind reinforcement fleet rejoyced and made theyre way towards us. on a 3 hr interval more fleets that had formed joined us inside the wormhole , and all pilots could not believe the luck they had to shoot "that" pos. fast locking ships were deployed all around the now peacefully wrapped pos in oder to catch pilots that may tempt a futile escape. and logg on they did, surprise surprise.... realizing the hopeless situation they were in , they started to shuffle in hangars moving ships and tried to save some ships and belongings. then they started SELF DESTRUCTING ships. those cowards. while we watched with disbelief, our dammage dealers had been working on shooting the POCO's they had. we waited for something to happen, we waited and waited. now they knew when we would commence the final strike , the reinforcements timers showed clearly on overview. i passed down command to a

fresh commander and took a few hours of earned shuteye. PART THREE (day two , or what todo when waiting on reinforcement timers) Joining the fleet i asked for update and was greeted with "we got a orca full of t3's" i thought it was a joke, then they explained what happened: some pilot of the enemy pos had "accidently" fumbled with the forcefield password resulting in a crane and the orca beeing ejected at high speed from the tower, an good plan IF they had pilots in them... ewwww bummer. We boarded the ships and laughed hard. thx for the fish btw. On day two the fleet had grown even more and pilots were asking how they could help, i had to think of something, so we explained in Q+A's what wormhole life was, we huffed some gas , a small group split off and ran sites in a neighbouring c3 wormhole, some of us ran the local c5 combat sites. nothing fancy nor interesting apart the fact that we lost a few ships to c5 sleeper sites , because they hit hard and some of our pilots had NOT fitted the required tank. our logi bros were furious having much pride in not loosing fleetmembers , but that's eve, HTFU. the timers started getting close to zero and our pilots were itching to fight ,IF they actually dared to face us. PART FOUR (the bash and more self destructions) aproximatly 2 hrs before the tower came out of reinforced mode , meaning we could shoot it again , the enemy logged in a few pilots , which only continued to self destruct more assets. countdown ended for the POCOS and we made it quick and painless, all pocos died we lost noone. hrhr Then it was time for the tower to die , and it died within 15 min. we scooped up what the modules dropped and killed all the remaining modules. not much to say there. and then i had to sleep. THE END (extraction) After too few hours of sleep i came back to find only a few pilots left in the wormhole , another FC had taken the bulk of ur fleet safely (i hope) back into kspace. again our scouts were fantastic and we escorted a few groups of pilots back out. http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?a=ki ... l_id=97629 (http://killfeed.eveuniversity.org/?
a=kill_detail&kll_id=97629)

good things: exellent participation of fleetmembers!!!!! scouting was great and apreciated by pilots new to wormhole life. we did it. and lost noone, (with a few exeptions not worth mentioning) exellent exit strategy and safekeeping of looted assets. bad things: you may tell me what went bad cuz i cant think of any. ps. yes i did forget a few things but im sure >>>>YOU WERE THERE<<<<<< Top (#top) Report this post (./report.php?f=186&p=609975) Reply with quote (./posting.php?mode=quote&f=186&p=609975)
