Specification for Air Craft Warning Lights Area 7400 Power Plant

An aircraft warning light system is required for a stack 75.0 meters high as detailed on the following drawings. Drawing EK-BA-23-008 Drawing EE-BA-54-001 Drawing EK-BA-23-001 Drawing EK-BA-23-003 (Three-Tube Steel Stack Outside Drawing) (Stack Lighting Drawing) (Three-Tube Steel Stack Structure Drawing) (Three-Tube Steel Stack Ring Beam Connections Plan Drawing)

The aircraft warning lights are to be a high-intensity lighting system attached to the referenced stack that is to be used as collision avoidance for aircraft. As seen from the reference photograph of the stack, the stack is painted for daytime marking. Scope of supply includes the following: Three (3) L-864 red flashing lights for installation at 72.0 meter level. Three (3) L-810 red steady burning lights for installation at @ 44.0 meter level. Lighting Controller. All required stands, structural and mounting hardware. Recommended five (5) year spare parts list, which includes lighting/bulbs. Installation instructions. Three (3) copies on operating & maintenance manuals. Three (3) copies of datasheets and drawings.

The supplied aircraft warning light system shall be compliant with the following: U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) AC 70/7460-1K Obstruction Marking and Lighting. International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards.

The standard of supply will be based on the use of light units that meet specified intensities, beam patterns, color, and flash rates as specified in AC 150/5345-43 The supplied lighting system will include Aviation Red Obstruction Lights. Red Obstruction lights will be used to increase conspicuity of the 75.0 meter stack during the night time. The red obstruction lighting system will be comprised of flashing omni-directional beacons (L-864) and steady burning (L-810) lights. Red obstruction lights will be operated by a satisfactory control device (e.g. photo cell, timer, etc.) adjusted so the lights will be turned on when the northern sky luminance reaching a vertical surface falls below a level of 60 foot-candles (645.8 lux) but before reaching a level of 35 foot-candles (367.7 lux). The control device should turn the lights off when the northern sky luminance rises to a level of not

more than 60 foot-candles (645.8 lux). The lights should also have the option of operating on a continuous basis. The sensing device will face the northern sky and be in compliant with AC 150/534543. Control device, junction boxes and electrical must be weather proof and comply with IP55 rating which states for outdoor use in non-hazardous locations subject to dust, moisture and water spray. In addition, please ensure the electrical supply is tropicalized as we are located in a humid and coastal/sea water laden atmosphere. Power supply available is as follows: - High: - Medium: - Low: - Control / ESD Circuits: - Instrument Signals: 6.6 KV/3 Ph/50 Hz 690V/380V/3 Ph/50 Hz 230V/1 Ph/50 Hz 24 VDC 4-20 mA

Top Mounted Obstruction Lights @ 72.0 meter level. Three (3) L-864 red flashing lights (20 to 40 flashes per minute) are required for installation. Intermediate Mounted Obstruction Lights @ 44.0 meter level. Three (3) L-810 red steady burning lights are required for installation. Please design lighting for night time period for a meteorological visibility of 3 miles (4.8 km) at 2,000 intensity Candelas as per the attached table.
