Exercise 1 Based on the first table given, make 2 phrases for each verb (verbs table) using ALL the nouns from nouns table. Exercise 2 Using the verbs above, make question for your classmate / teacher, and then answer the question made for you.
Examples: Student A: Do you drink milk? Student B: No I dont. / No, I dont drink milk? Student C: Does student B drink milk? Student D: No he / she doesnt. / No, he / she doesnt drink milk.

Indefinite articles: A and AN


Indefinite articles are used to describe something that doesnt regard ideas of quantity. The indefinite articles dont have plural forms, they are used only in singular forms. The indefinite articles A and AN are the same for all genders.

We use A for words that start with consonants. Examples: a car, a boy, a cat, a woman, a man. The bus was painted by a woman. We use AN if the word starts with a vowel. Examples: an elephant, an apple, an american boy. He told me he had an apple inside his backpack.

Exercise 1 Write down 10 phrases using the indefinite article A. Exercise 2 Write down 10 phrases using the indefinite article AN. Exercise 3 - Practice your reading: read each phrase that youve done twice.

WHAT and WHICH


The words WHAT and WICH have similar meanings in English. In the lines below, you are going to understand their basic difference. The word WHICH is used when you have a specific number of objects which (here the meaning is other, and you are going to learn It soon) you are talking about. Examples with WHAT: What are you doing right now? I am tidying my bedroom. What is the purpose of algorithms class? The main objective of this class is to provide students a base for programming classes. What do you have in your pocket? I have only my keys. Examples with WHICH: Which of these fruits is better: orange or tangerine? Orange is better. The best soccer players currently are Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. Which of them is better? Ronaldo is better than Messi. Which of these colors do you prefer? I prefer red to blue.
