Bringing History to Life American Revolutionary War Presentation at EHMS


This Friday our 8th grade class will experience a special treat - Colonel Roy Wells. Colonel Wells volunteers his time and artifacts with our school. He will bring historical facts and pieces of art from the Revolutionary War era to life for our students. We would like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Colonel Wells for coming back to Edna Hill and sharing his expertise with us! Attention Geography Bee Semi-finalists


If you would like to obtain some guidance on how to prepare for the upcoming Geo-Bee please swing by Room #9, Mr. Rodriguezs classroom, before or after school for a packet of information and topten study tips for the National Geographic Geography Bee. The semi-final round will take place after school in Rooms 5 and 9 on Thursday, September 5th. The top 15 finishers will move on to the final round in the theater on Thursday, September 12th. Good luck!

First Social of the Year is Approaching:


Our first Social of the year will be Friday, September 20th from 3:306:00pm. It is the goal of Edna Hill Middle School to provide safe and age appropriate social activities for our student body. In an effort to obtain this goal, any student interested in attending must have the Social Compact to participate signed and returned before purchasing their social ticket. Social Compacts are located in the student center. Social tickets will go on sale for $7 starting Monday, September 16th during both lunches.

Cheerleading Clinic and Tryouts are Approaching!

Mandatory Cheer Meeting for students and parents Tuesday, September 3rd . Begins at 3:15 in the Garin Gym. (This meeting will cover all information for the upcoming 2013/2014 Cheer Season) Cheer Workshop for those girls wanting to gain some cheer skills and for those girls who would like a "refresher." All basic cheer moves and jumps will be taught and will not be re-taught at the Cheer Clinic. Girls earn 10 points towards their "try-out" score for attending. Donation is $20 and covers all three days of the Workshop. Donation may be paid the first day of the Workshop by cash or check made out to: "EHMS Cheer."
