from the Worlds Main Calendars Solstices, Equinoxes and Eclipses True Dates of the Celtic Quarter Days A Tune into the Moon Guide Guide to Planting with the Moon

Welcome to this years Astro Calendar

The Astro calendar is designed to help you understand and resonate with the cyclic motion of the Sun, the Moon and the eight planets as they make their journeys round the twelve signs of the zodiac. You will see the position of the Moon every day, the position of the Planets and the exact time the Sun changes sign each month. The precise moment of Equinoxes, Solstices and the true dates and times of the Celtic Quarter Days are also shown. The Tune into the Moon guide included with the calendar will connect you to the rhythms of cyclic unfolding every month. By allowing yourself to become part of these and the Solar and Planetary cycles, new meanings and directions can be uncovered, revealing archetypal patterns and an increased perception of ones life as part of the greater whole. The illustrations are by Anne Morel a talented artist and sheep farmer. Trained at the Royal Academy, she has held exhibitions in Ireland and the UK. Expressing her unique vision through a wide variety of mediums, she specialises in rural and farming scenes. You can view some online galleries of her work at her website www.annemorel.com

This calendar is free to download from my website as a printable PDF. Personalised calendars showing your transits for each day are also available for Outlook and Google calendars. These personalised calendars can be calculated using the sidereal zodiac for those using Vedic or Biodynamic systems.
Muslim dates are +/- one day depending upon the physical sighting of the New Moon Jewish holidays begin at sunset on the preceding day and may last several days The Moon signs, and Planetary movements in this calendar are calculated using the Tropical Zodiac Times are GMT and are adjusted to British Summer time. Astronomical data is from the US Naval Observatory.

*Advent Sunday The first day of the liturgical year in Western Christian churches which determines when feast days, including celebrations of saints are to be observed and which portions of Scripture are to be read. *Feast of the Immaculate Conception Many people confuse the Immaculate Conception with the 'Virgin Birth'; the belief that Mary gave birth to Jesus while remaining a virgin, they are not the same thing; the doctrine preached on this day teaches that Mary herself was conceived without sin.

*Hanukkah The Jewish Festival of Lights, dating back to two centuries before the beginning of Christianity. *WINTER SOLSTICE The Sun enters Capricorn and is the shortest day of the year. One of the oldest celebrations in the world. Norsemen lit bonfires, told stories and drank sweet ale; ancient Romans held the 7 day festival of Saturnalia, when ordinary rules were turned upside down; men dressed as women and masters dressed as servants; the Druids would use a golden sickle to cut the mistletoe that grew on oak trees and give it as a blessing, they called this day Alban Arthan which translates as Light of Winter
