eBay and Amazon both come out winners in February, Nielsen Online says

For once, there’s room enough for both eBay and Amazon to rank No. 1—at least when one breaks
down conversion rates by retail category. The competitors, which have been duking it out for
supremacy in terms of traffic to retail sites in recent months, were each winners in several shopping
categories for conversions in February, Nielsen Online reports.

The sites with at least 500,000 unique visitors during the month with the highest conversion rates in
February were:

Schwans, 42.1%
ProFlowers, 36.5%
Quixtar, 33.2%
vitacost.com, 28.9%
Woman Within, 24.2%
L.L. Bean, 20.4%
Office Depot, 19.6%
Tickets.com,18.4%
1800flowers.com, 17.3%
QVC, 17.1%

The product categories with the highest average order value in February, according to Nielsen
Online, were:

Computer hardware, $354.89

Automotive, $220.02
Consumer Electronics, $140.42
Event & Movie Tickets, $134.20
