FDI 2013 Istanbul: the place to be late August 2013

Istanbul is set to be the city of choice in late August for the dental industry, dentists and all other people working in the field of oral health. Exhibition space at the 2013 FDI Annual World Dental Congress and Exhibition , to be held there from 28 to 31 August, has already beaten records with about 80%4,200 square metresof exhibition space already sold, with still seven months to go. Meanwhile, early registrations and abstract submissions are moving apace. We are looking forward to meeting our industry partners and their guests at FDI 2013 Istanbul.

Countdown to World Oral Health Day

The countdown is on for World Oral Health Day 2013, to be celebrated on 20 March! National Dental Associations are signing up to support the day and news is already coming in about planned local and national events. The international sponsors of the event are Unilever and Johnson & Johnson. However, other opportunities for sponsorship may open up at national level as FDI members seek support for their local and nationwide activities. FDI has had the logo translated into ten languages with more on the way. World Oral Health Day 2013 will play a key role in raising awareness about oral health throughout the year and beyond!

Vision 2020 takes giant steps forward thanks to industry partners!

With the support of Colgate, Henry Schein, Ivoclar Vivadent, Johnson & Johnson and Unilever, FDIs landmark Vision 2020 project will take giant steps forward in February. The Task Team charged with its implementation is set to meet for the first time in Chicago in February during the Midwinter Meeting of the Chicago Dental Society , in Chicago from 21 to 23 February 2013. Vision 2020, launched at the 2012 FDI Annual World Dental Congress in Hong Kong, provides a sketch of how oral health care might look by 2020 if the dental profession tackles the challenges and seizes the opportunities in a timely and appropriate manner For more FDI News, visit www.fdiworldental.org
