BUILDING FOCUS LISTS

Finding profitable trading opportunities has never been easier. There are hundreds of criteria that you can combine to find the best setups from over 6,800 stocks listed on the AMEX, NASDAQ and NYSE. The first section of the software you will want to become familiar with is the screening section. This is located inside the Filter tab located at the top left of the screen. You will notice tabs within the Filter tab. Each of these tabs contains various criteria to filter on. Of course, there wasn't space to include the hundreds of filter criteria on these tabs. That's where the Custom tab comes in to play. This tab allows you to choose from all of the criteria included in Eye in the Sky Trade Planning. Well cover that topic a little bit later.

CLEARING FILTERS
If you want to go back to viewing all the tickers simply click the Clear button in the middle of the screen next to the My Filters drop down box.

SELECTING MULTIPLE ITEMS FROM LISTS

You can select multiple items from the lists (i.e. Patterns, Candlesticks, Sectors, Industries, Countries, etc.) by holding down the Control or Shift key on your keyboard as you click the items in the list. Shift allows you to select a contiguous range of items. Control allows you to pick non-contiguous items in the list.

You can deselect one item in a list where many selections have already been made, by holding down the Control key as you click on it.

FINDING VALUES IN DROP DOWN LISTS

Some of the lists have many items. For example, the Field Name lists in the Custom Filter tab contain hundreds of items. You can quickly filter what is contained in the box by typing while on the drop down list box. Go to the drop down box by tabbing to it or clicking on it with your mouse. Start typing part of the name you are looking for. A screen will appear showing what you type. The results will be narrowed to only items containing what you type. You can search on multiple partial words by separating them with a space. For example, if you type eps aver the results will only show items that contain both of these strings in them. You can search on multiple partial words by separating them with a space. For example, if you type eps aver the results will only show items that contain both of these strings in them.

CUSTOMIZING THE DROP DOWN LISTS

Page 1

Some of the criteria you can specify are in the form of a drop down list. Some examples of this include Price (aka Closing Price), Volume, etc. You can change the values that appear in the drop down lists by right clicking on them and selecting Change Values from the menu that appears. Remove the items you will never use with the Delete key on your keyboard, and add ones that you use all the time by going to the end of the list and typing them. NOTE: If you remove the value that is currently being used on the Filter tabs, then the filter criteria will be cleared.

DISCOVER THE FILTER CRITERIA AVAILABLE WITH THE FILTERING ASSISTANT

The Filtering Assistant is a great place to learn about all the filter criteria available in Eye in the Sky Trade Planning. Go to the Custom filter tab. Click the green button with the plus sign on it. This will open the Filter Assistant. Click the plus sign next to the various items in the lists to expand them. You can hover over any blue element with your mouse to get a description of that criterion.

Here is a summary of the colors you will find in the tree lists:

Blue

A criterion that you can use to filter on.

Green

The currently selected filter criteria. This will show when you switch focus from the tree to other objects on the screen.

Black

A grouping element to keep the filter criteria organized.

NOTE: The Filtering Assistant does not contain criteria for Insider Trading or Analyst Ratings. These items can only be filtered on by selecting one or more items from the lists on those filter tabs.

CUSTOM FILTER TAB EX AMPLE

For example, let's say you wanted to look for stocks that have a Full Stochastics %K Indicator less than 20 (indicating a potential oversold situation). The way you would specify that would be: Select "Full Stochastics %K" in the Field Name column. Select "<" in the Operator column Type in 20 in the Value column Tab to the next row to make the criteria take effect.

Here is how to accomplish that same task with the Filter Assistant: Click the green + button in an empty row (unless you want to replace an existing criterion). Click the + next to the Technical item in the left list. Click the + next to the Indicators item in the left list. Click the + next to the Stochastics item in the left list. Click the + next to the Full item in the left list. Click the + next to the 14, 3, 3 item in the left list. Click on the %K item in the left list. (This has set which criteria you will be evaluating) Select < from the Operator list in the middle of the screen. Type 20 in the Value box below the right list. Click the Save button.

DASHBOARD
The Dashboard feature in Eye in the Sky Trade Planning allows you to quickly evaluate how well a stock matches your trading style. The dashboard can be tailored to your trading style by defining rules for each cell. These cells will then change colors based on how the currently selected stock matches your rules. It makes it easy to see the pros and cons of a stock based on your criteria.

DASHBOARD RULES
A dashboard rules tells Eye in the Sky Trade Planning how you feel about a specific criteria and the value associated with it. There are 3 different types of rules:

PRO

If the stock meets the criteria then it is positive. The cell will appear green if these criteria are met.

WARNING

If the stock meets the criteria then it is slightly negative. The cell will appear yellow if these criteria are met.

ERROR

If the stock meets the criteria then it is very negative. The cell will appear red if these criteria are met.

The rules are used in two different ways: To determine the color of the cell when a stock is selected. To calculate the My Rating.

Getting more information: You can view how the currently selected stock matches your rules by hovering over any of the flashing blue information icons that appear next to the cells. NOTE: If the currently selected stock doesn't meet any of the rules defined in a particular cell, then it will remain grey, with no exclamation point.

Page 18

CUSTOMIZING THE DASHBOARD

In order to realize the full potential of Eye in the Sky Trade Planning, you must define your trading rules in the Dashboard. The My Rating is calculated based on all of the rules you define. The more rules you define, the more accurate the My Rating becomes.

CHANGING THE TEXT IN THE GROUPING BOXES

You can change the text that appears in the boxes that group the cells. This allows you to organize your various rule groupings: Click on the Dashboard tab at the top of the screen. Right click on the text you want to change and select Change Text from the menu that Appears.

DEFINING RULES
Click on the Dashboard tab at the top of the screen. Double click on any cell. This will bring up the Dashboard Rules screen for that particular cell. Type a name for the cell in the Text field. Define as many rules as you want for that cell. You can combine rules for a particular criterion. Click the button with a green plus on it to access the Filter Assistant. This makes specifying criteria much easier. Click the Save button when you are done.

NOTE: You will be prompted to re-calculate the My Ratings for all tickers when you click the Save button. This will update the values so that you can filter on My Ratings in the Filter tab. This is automatically done during each Data Collection. However, if you want the new values available immediately you will want to answer Yes to this question. If you are planning on changing a lot of dashboard rules at once, you can click No each time until you are defining your very last set of rules.

ARRANGING CELLS
You can drag and drop cells in the dashboard if you decide you want them in different locations. Hold your left mouse button down on the cell you want to move or copy. Drag the cell to another location. Release the mouse button. Select Move or Copy from the menu that appears.

Page 19

MY RATING
The My Rating on the left side of the screen reflects how closely a stock matches your criteria. Each stock has a maximum point value of 10. Here is how the My Rating is calculated: A base value of 5 is assigned to each stock. The PRO rules can add up to 5 positive points. The WARNING rules can subtract up to 1 point. This is 20% of the 5 negative points possible. The ERROR rules can subtract up to 4 points. This is 80% of the 5 negative points possible.

The points added or subtracted from the My Rating is pro-rated based on the percentage of the rules satisfied. For example, if only 1 out of 4 ERRORs were satisfied then only 1 point (25%) will be deducted from the My Rating score. Each stock is evaluated as you click on them in the list. In addition, you can filter based on the My Rating by selecting one or more values in the Ratings tab inside the Filter tab.

Alternatively, you can detach the Web Browser tab and put it on another monitor.

RESIZING THE SCREEN

There are two thick black bars on the screen that allow you resize the various regions. If you place your mouse over these bars, you can drag them around to resize the screen. This can be helpful when selecting Patterns or Candlesticks on the filter screen, so you can select all the ones you want without having to scroll down the list.
