CHAPTER 3

METHODOLOGY

The researcher followed and performed the following strategies to achieve his goals for the research project. It is important for the researcher to get hold of pertinent data to properly solve the research queries.

3.1 Method of Research Used

The descriptive method of research was used in this study. This method describes with emphasis what actually exist such as current conditions, practices, situations or any phenomena. Since, the proposed study has been discussing the existing conditions and concerns about the town of Binangonan, latest environmental technologies/principles and many more; the descriptive method of research is the most suitable to use.

3.3 Sampling Techniques Used

Theres no need to present the population or target inhabitants study of the project. 3.4 Data Gathering Procedure

The researcher used the following methods to collect important data: clerical tools such as interviews with knowledgeable people, observation through actual visits of related facilities and the site itself, plus the library method. Even more, the use of electronic devices had played a role in the gathering of data.

3.5 Research Instruments Used

Handy mechanical devices like digital camera, voice recorder (MP4) and laptop are the tools used in this research. First hand interviews to knowledgeable individuals, official documents of the proposed BIRETRACC and proper observation of related facilities were also gathered or performed by the researcher.

3.6 Validity of Instruments

Research tools were used throughout the duration of this study to record pertinent information for the project. The mechanical instruments are good enough to capture and record pertinent data or conditions, while the researchers reference books are in their latest editions. In addition, interviews with project officials had given the researcher sensible results. Finally, first hand information means valid analysis and outcome.
