BTEC HNC in Business (Part-time)

Duration: 2 academic years OVERVIEW The programme is vocationally focused, using a wide range of business case studies and practical examples. It is well established and recognised across the UK by universities and employers. The HNC in Business programme is at QCF level 4, which is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. Successful completion of the HNC in Business could provide direct entry to the second year of a related undergraduate degree programme at some universities. The entry criteria can vary between universities; it is therefore recommended that you visit university websites or contact their admissions department to confirm their entry requirements. Alternatively, successful completion of the HNC in Business can lead to progression onto the HND in Business at ETC.

ASSESSMENT This course will be assessed using a mix of written assignments, presentations, role play, simulations and in-class timed assessments.

ENTRY CRITERIA Age 18 - 21 1 A level pass (at grades A*- E) A Pass in vocational qualifications, such as BTEC Nationals and OCR Nationals (equivalent to one A level pass) Age 21 and over No formal level 3 qualification required. Attendance This course will be studied over two academic years on a part-time basis consisting of teaching across two evenings a week or one day a week.
