Full-page photos everywhere
Full-page photos are common on magazine covers and major spreads, but todays
abundance of inexpensive photos and even less expensive PDFs have made the full-
page photo a practical way to enliven ordinary pages as well . . .

How plain can a page be?
The last page of this PDF-format hobby magazine is an index-
style list of resources and links, plus copyright and other
masthead information. Its the kind of page thatyawn youd
normally skip right over. Problem is, the info is important to
advertisers and useful to readers; we dont want it skipped.
Attractive and engaging
Solution? Leave the type exactly where it is, then behind it
add a full-page photo, in this case of a model helicopter in
ight. Just like that, the previously dull information becomes
attractive, lifelike, engaging. And its time savinga full-page
photo requires no real designing. Try it.
