To Commanding Officer NAVSCOLEOD,

Sir, I would like to respectfully request an appeal consideration for my current training status. Though my Academic Review Board has recommended I be dropped from training, I firmly believe I deserve a second chance and would be a valuable asset to the EOD community. Throughout my time here at NAVSCOLEOD I have completely fallen in love with the EOD Community and way of life. I want nothing else in life but to do the work of an EOD Technician and to be apart of this great brotherhood. The result of my ARB was a recommendation to be dropped from training due to a lack of core fundamental skills and an inability to perform under pressure. Though I would not ague with either of these conclusions, I truly think that given the opportunity I can fully correct these deficiencies and complete the training pipeline. If given another chance in training, I fully intend on rethinking my outlook on an EOD problem, in order to help myself react under pressure. I believe if I begin a test by thinking in terms of an actual piece of ordnance instead of a point total that can pass of fail me, I have the ability to be very successful from this point in training forward. In conclusion I respectfully request an appeal consideration due to simple fact that I have only rolled once prior to IED targeting, and have a clear concise plan to improve upon my weaknesses that have been pointed out in my ARB. As a closing thought; I request sir, that you think back to your time coming through EOD School and ask yourself how badly you would have fought for one final shot if you were put in my position.
