Learning Outcomes Week Declarative One 1. Identify possible options for stall within context.

Recall prior knowledge of stalls viewed at previous fairs. Distinguish safe, ethical and legal practice when working with computers. 1. Procedural Evaluate and produce evidence of possible stalls via the creation of Padlet & Popplet (shows students thinking). Evaluate information gained through students Prior Knowledge/opinions & student/parent survey on the type of stall they think would be more favourable. Model responses via Excel. Reflect upon weekly activities in online diary/journal Penzu. 1. Maths Data Representation Construct and compare a range of data displays including stem-and-leaf plots and dot plots (ACMSP170) English Use a range of software, including word processing programs, to confidently create, edit and publish written and multimodal texts (ACELY1728) Brainstorm stall ideas through Padlet in order to identify potential stall agendas. Create a mind map on Popplet to categorise ideas (i.e. food, games, knick knacks). Students write and conduct survey through Microsoft Word to determine favourable stalls from school students and parents. Learners will also observe favourable foods amongst those surveyed. Establish online journals/ diaries as a form of reflection. Curriculum Links (maths) ICT Selection

Padlet is an instant collaboration that begins with a blank wall and provides users with an array of options to create a page which resembles digital version of a pen and paper brainstorm! It enables the learner to write/add anything they wish to the wall simply by clicking on the page, best suiting visual learners. Popplet is an online mind mapping site that enables the learner to apply prior knowledge to deconstruct the information so that the information can be categorised. Microsoft Word is one of many Microsoft programs which allow students to create and manipulate images, text, tables etc to create a survey suitable for the preferred topic of choice. This is a simple, yet effective program that majority of students are familiar with, therefore limited assistance should be

needed. Penzu is a free online diary and personal journal which is highly focused on privacy. It provides users with the option to have their deepest thoughts in military grade encryption therefore the high level of security is appropriate for the school setting. All accounts are password locked and allow users to do what they please to create their own individual journals. A Blog reflection allows students to articulate their decisions, ideas and new knowledge learnt throughout the week. This space can also hold any ICT tools in which the students have created. Excel allows students to manipulate data and knowledge, making informed decisions to enhance their understandings of key concepts. Online KWL was used to assist students with the identification of what knowledge they already know and are yet to find

This program was created by a website ReadWriteThink (International Reading Association) and allows students to save their work, providing them with the opportunity to add things to their KWL table throughout the thought process. Its an interactive program perfect for targeting specific information. A Blog reflection allows students to articulate their decisions, ideas and new knowledge learnt throughout the week. Not only does it provide audio but it provides students with the option of a video call which they can then plug into the computer etc.. to enhance visual, if necessary. This was highly appropriate for the bank manager as they did not have time to visit the school. The IPad is a computer

In this case, it cover all three learning styles, audio, visual & kinaesthetic as students have the opportunity to take images, record video and even manipulate the object so it captures the best angle! And the best part is, the students can refer back to the information whenever they please. This is great for those students who are not only visual learners but students who really enjoy maths as it allow them to calculate prices of items to determine the best buy. Those whom learn best through kinaesthetic learning are also given the option of hands on work, via the use of paper catalogues/ pen to paper work. A Blog reflection allows students to articulate their decisions, ideas and new knowledge learnt throughout the week. This space can also hold any ICT tools in which the students have created.
