ASSUMPTION OF ALL RISKS BY THE ENTRANT: With the full knowledge and appreciation that bicycle
riding is a hazardous activity and consequence of accepting this entry, I, intending to be legally bound for
myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights of claim for damages as
I may have against Bike 2 Build organizers, SLV Habitat for Humanity, their agents, and towns, counties and
state in which the event travels, their representatives, successors, and assigns, and for any and all injuries
and/or property damage suffered by me in said event, and for the same consideration, the undersigned
parent or guardian herby indemnifies and agrees to hold Bike 2 Build organizers, and their agents, harmless
from any and all liabilities which may occur by the entry of the applicant in Bike 2 Build. I allow the use of my
image in photos and video to help share the Habitat for Humanity message. I will wear an ANSI approved
helmet during the ride.
A group start is scheduled for 8 am at the Habitat for Humanity Office, Alamosa Chamber of Commerce,
Alamosa, CO. It is the responsibility of each individual rider to leave early enough to ensure arrival in La
Veta by noon (when the course will be swept). Each rider will be expected to change their own flats, and fix
their own mechanical problems. The shuttle bus will depart for Alamosa at approximately 2 pm.

Safety
• It is recommended that each rider carry a large water bottle, spare tube and patch kit, pump, tire
changing tools, sun screen, and a windbreaker if the weather happens to be chilly.
•This is an open course and riders are responsible to observe and obey all traffic laws. Please be
courteous to local traffic and drivers.
• Single file riding recommended to the far right of the road. Please don’t ride more than 2 abreast.
• ANSI approved helmets are MANDATORY!
Schedule
7:30 am Start at the Habitat for Humanity Office, Alamosa Chamber of Commerce in Cole
Park. Riders may drop off 1 bag with clothes, etc at the Habitat Office in the morning
before the ride starts. A bus will shuttle riders from La Veta back to Cole Park and a trailer
will bring the bikes. These will leave La Veta at 2pm, allowing enough time for riders to
change clothes and eat lunch. The Train departs for Alamosa about 2pm. Bikes may be
transported on the train.
11:30am - 2pm Lunch arranged for group
Noon Route swept for remaining riders
2 pm Shuttle Bus, Bike Trailer, Train Depart La Veta for Alamosa
3-4 pm Pick up bikes from Trailer at Habitat Office, Alamosa Chamber of Commerce
